Hi,
I cant really get it, sometimes the original SE stereo headset is active.
I have not used it :-(
The stereo headset icon is behind the BT-ICON?
There is no sound during calls!
How to solve it?

hi,
yea i thought i had the same problem too, but apperently once yur on the call remove the headset jack n put it back again (mind u- this is during the call)... this somehow activates the mic on the headset n yur ready to babble on the handsfree (needs to be done almost every time u connect the headset - in short.. once for the full day)... also once on headset mode... pressing the connect/disconnect button on it twice... as in double-click opens the last call u made.. lemme know if this workd 4 u
Cheers
it's a hardware problem ...

I was wondering if anyone has experienced the same problem I've been having. When I'm on a call using a "WIRED" headset (I know I need to get a BT headset) the call would be placed on hold without me touching the phone. Sometimes it would even place a call on its own. Whenever it would do this the Voice Speed Dial Screen would come on & beep too once in awhile. I don't have anything programmed in the Voice Speed Dial.
I believe the problem is coming from the plug from the wired headset that's connected to the phone. The headset that I am using is a HTC EMC220 Stereo Hands-Free Headset OEM. I tried wiggling the connector & it would either make a call or place the call on hold.
It's really annoying! Any fixes or suggestions?
Are you able to try a different wired headset? This would further help to identify the problem.

That is too bad b/c it sounds to me like it might the headset itself. Sorry I can not be more helpful.
Hi, i have spent some time searching now and since i couldn't find this anywhere i decided to post here, hope someone can help me.
Recently, i bought the official sony playstation 3 bluetooth headset (http://www.us.playstation.com/PS3/Accessories/SCPH-98095) and i have connected it to my xperia x1 through bluetooth (running with itje's touch-it xperience v13.2), the problem is, it only outputs sound for the voice calls, i can't listen to music on it or the normal phone sounds. I know it would be mono sound and not high quality, but i would like to listen to the sound anyway sometimes because its better then leaving it silent.
i have tried in the bluetooth configuration window, clicking in advanced, editing the wireless device profile, thre it was marked hands-free, i clicked refresh and headset appeared, i marked it, then the headset disconnects. when i reconnect it, it auto demarks headset, or it doesnt connect.
I have looked around to see if it was the bluetooth headset problem, but i have not seen anyone else complaining about this or even mentioning it can't play the phone sounds (just some complains about the ps3 sounds not outputing but thats the ps3 fault), and i have also searched to see if it is x1s fault but haven't managed to find an answer as well, so if anyone can plz help i would really appreciate it. Thanks.
thats pretty much because its no BUG.
what u want is a a2dp headset. something tells me that the ps3 headset doesn has this feature. normal headset just route voice calls while a2dp headset route everything.
actually, i didnt use the word bug because i though that might be the case
it has the headset and handsfree profile, not a2dp, but what i wasnt sure if it really needed to have de a2dp profile to output normal sounds, from what i've read it seems it is needed to output stereo high quality sounds, but just sounds with low quality would work for me, thats why im asking, i though the headset profile would be enough for that.
so if i get your message right, unless it has specifically the a2dp profile, there is no other way of making the sound output on the headset, low or high quality?
now i know there might be a way to make it work.
i was listening to some music today using the music player that comes with touchflo 3d, then i pressed the talk button of my bluetooth headset to issue a voice command (with the microsoft voice command program), then the music started playing in my headset while it was waiting for the voice command, once it got the command the music went back to the phone.
Does anyone know any way to make my headset keep playing the sounds, or could at least explain what happens when i press the talk button so i have an idea of where to look to see if find a way?
no one can help me with this? not any tip or a way to select a different output for audio or anything like that?
Also an issue with Audio Gateway
I have tested this issue on two seperate headsets, and so far can get the Xperia to work ONLY as hands free. Seperate phones sperate headsets. The other phone pushed audio thru to the headset whereas the X1 only routes calls.
I also cant find much of this on XDA or anywhere else?
Help?
Regards
i used an ad2p software downloaded from here when i had this issue with my lg ks20. But i havent the gut or im just lazy to try this app on the x1. Maybe u should give that ad2p software a try.
Hi guys,
I tried searching for this but couldnt find it.
I have a bluetooth headset and its always on when Im in the car. The thing is though when its on, the Tomtom sends the directions to my headset instead of going through the speaker.
Is there a way to have TomTom speak through my Xperia speaker and not come through my bluetooth headset while its on?
thanks
does anyone know?
think when adp2 headsets are connected all sounds no matter what are passed that direction
would be possible to change that but as I believe 99% of people would not ask for such a feature the demand may be too little for supply to come about
hmm thats true.
Just thought it would be cool to have tomtom come through the speaker and then if I get a call, it would go straight to my bluetooth.
Thanks though
Uncheck the A2DP option from your headset, and only leave the handsfree option.
OO I should try that.
For now I noticed if I turn tomtom on first and then my bluetooth headset, it comes through the speaker and not my headset, not sure what happens yet when I receive a call, never got one yet while my been doing this.
Will try disabling a2dp too
Thanks
Hello,
I have an xperia x1 and i have a problem.Even if I disconect my headset i still have the headset icon and if I play music i can't hear on speaker i must connect the headset. But if some1 calls me The speaker is working.I tryed with hard reset but it didn't work. And my mic isn't working also...and it stopped working when the headset icon problem apeard.Any sugestion? Right now i'm trying to flash it.Any1 got the same problem? Any sugestions?
Thanks in advance
Hi taz911
i had the same issue, its not a software problem, is a hardware problem, i just pull out the headphone jack out of the xperia, i dissambled.
my xperia has a hardware issue, some other owners only play with the metal stick inside the headphone jack and probably you can fixed it. i fixed that way once , but if you can fixed, i suggest you that dont use the headphone. try some bluetooth heaphone.
the mic stopped workins cause if says that you have the handsfree plugged in,so all the sound passes trought the headphone jack, you are unable to talk if the headphone icon appear in you xperia.
good luck!

Hi, I have a TyTN II and i'm using a BT handsfree enabled car stereo. I can pair the phone with the radio, make calls and receive them, but I have problems with the microphone/voice sending, that is, when I'm making or receiving a call, shortly after responding, the other party can't hear me, or hears only clicks and distorted sound. I can hear the other party's sound without problems however.
I have made tests, calling to my home's answering machine, and during the call, after a short time the clicks and distort appear again, If I don't hang, sometimes the sound from the phone is fixed, only to be wrong again after a while.
It can't be signal problems, when I use the phone without the handsfree it works OK, and can't be the handsfree itself, it works well with my other phones.
I have tried all that I had read in the forums: pairing/unpairing, installing BT fixes, using KaiserTweak to tune BT settings... nothing worked.
Please help me, I really want to use the phone on my car, and can't use since I've got it...
any ideas? thanks in advance!

Here, use BTAUDIO to solve it
Thanks, but that did not solve the mic problem. I have tested a Motorola HF800 handsfree and strangely it works well with it... but not for my car stereo
