How To: Setup up new cities in Weather for PointUI Home2

I have posted this on the community forum at PointUI.com, but I will repost here.
Picture
First, a quick note on the attached picture. The QVGA map is half the size of the VGA map, therefore the locations are off by 2 times. Just divide the X, Y coordinates by 2 to get the QVGA locations. To get a new location, use MS Paint in Windows (pic editor), mouse over where the city you want to add is and look in the lower right-hand corner for the X, Y coordinates.

A quick guide to add your own city on World or Today Applet:
> goto accuweather.com to find your city with its code
When you found your town on Accuweather website, the code is in your browser adress bar. You just have to check url to isolate it.
You could also use this to obtain the complete url : http://www.accuweather.com/rss-center.asp

Program Files\Home2\AppletRibbon\Today\Cities.xml (for Today applet)

On to my stuff.
I was able to add my city and others in the United States, but I followed the existing patterns in the XML file. The previous post entries on how to use the '0&amp' are partially correct.
Here is what I use:

For the id, use the US Postal Zip Code for the city you want. Then use "http://rss.accuweather.com/rss/liveweather_rss.asp?metric=0&locCode=*Your Zip Code*"
Just replace *YourZipCode* with your 5-digit zip code, and *Your X*/*Your Y* with your X, Y coordinates. See code below:

Note: I use a MortScript to update both XML files from one location. This may be helpful if you are playing around with this file a lot. I leave my "main" copy on my storage card and make all my edits there. When I am done with that, I shut down Home2.exe, run my script, and restart Home2.exe.

I`ve got a problem.
I want to add my city, but everytime i run home2 it crashes. This is the code i added to the cities.xml:

There are a few things wrong with your script though.
1) The ampersand (&) is incorrect scripting. Replace it with "amp;". Don't forget the semicolon --> ";"
2) There is a space added in your URL line for your location
Change your URL line to this:
<url>http://rss.accuweather.com/rss/liveweather_rss.asp?metric=
0&locCode=EUR|PL|PL003|PABIANICE</url>

I know it was a stupid question What I should have asked was will this help in any way to achieve an unlocked boot loader or anything else useful.

v28J on server, but impossible to download

It looks like that v28J is already on server. However, they keep blocking us to download it, so that's why you as me gets the "forbidden" message. Bad LG.

This doesn't mean much... We already saw this with previous V28 versions.

useragent of lg mobiletools
Do anyone know what's the useragent of LG mobiletool? I'm thinking that they are not blocking IP but useragent, since the message says that "Your CLIENT is not allowed to access the requested object."

The V28I link is also "forbidden", so maybe LG didn't upload it yet.

Nope, even elite Korean proxies can't do the work. I suppose it might be htaacess blcokes and we need login system to acces this part of server.

I waited patiently and they changed files in 08:46:41 Seoul time and I catch response five minutes later.
I was convinced that files stay some time than they delete them, but noooo, I cannot download any file even it was only 5 minutes later than they supposedly upload it. Here is response from testsw query:

I don't know how you'd get this link, but you're not downloading it because it's fake. The real address to v28J is that on the first post, witch have a file with 730380475 bytes (~730mb), but unfortunately LG blocked usof downloading the file.
You can check the file size and info with "curl -I address" (note that's an big i, not a small L)

Guys...gear up...they are ready for roll out...same thing happened when they did for SU660...normally they will release the final code out by Wednesday ot worst case Thursday....we may get internation version by tomm....any one up for bet?:silly::silly:

I know this. But LG testsw query still returns new links. So I hoped if I hit right time it will be live. Sadly I was wrong.

Can't download because there's a Jaguar Webcache system in front of the Oracle Webserver... reverse caching proxy locks out by ip and serves a fake 404 and/or blocks us from downloading.
Plus, the content-type is text/plain while it should be at least application/octet-stream to represent a binary. 100% proxy response here.
So basically we're locked out thanks to the reverse proxy. Not much we can do i guess...

I just checked and theres a link to v30a but cant download as well, my question is that is there a way to bypass the reverse proxy somehow?

[Q] Sprint MOTO X sbf mirror

Can anyone kindly link me to a mirror of the Sprint MOTO X 4.4.2 sbf files? The only one I found at http://sbf.droid-developers.org/download.php?device=0&file=846 does not download well; always cuts off and never resumes, so the download never ever completes.

First, posting in the wrong forum probably diminished your chances somewhat of getting a 'meaningful reply'.
Second, the download link works perfectly for me and completes very quickly.
Third, that download server DOES support pause & resume, so if you simply used ANY download manager, you would be able to resume the download if it cut off. I'm guessing you are probably just trying to download from within chrome/IE/firefox?
Fourth, your most recent reply isn't conducive to getting ANYONE to help you...
Not withstanding points 1, 2, 3, and 4, I'm still going to help you out. I copied the file you are requesting to my personal server.
You have 2 hours to download the file before I remove it from my server (limited bandwidth).
