this is the basic setup. I can't provide you with the files, but they are all available in the APK (also can be found somewhere around the forums).
the only problem now is fixing the width and height of the application, it only wants to run at the "Droid" width and height.
EDIT:
also this:
Code:
/sdcard/Motonav/content/speedcam:
SpeedcamUpdates.spud
is created by itself, so no need to create it. (it's just a blank file, i should probably repost with file sizes so you guys know for sure)
EDIT 2:

Nice work!!!
Yeah this is really nice work.
Alright, I have found the lang files and the license files but can't seem to find the other ones. Can someone help me. Thanks.
which version can be used on the G1? I see 20 and 30 but I don't seem to find out which is for me.
So what do we actually edit once we have the apk's for motonav and portal?

Yeah I only get the same files. Missing the voice files and map files. The install process has been going for a while and got a language error but the files are in the folder.

Keep in mind MotoNav isn't free. This forum does not condone the spread of warez, so i can't post those files. But, I am entitled to tell you to go be resourceful and you may find what you are looking for. (hint: google up the filenames)
I think I should remind everyone that although we cannot POST links to warez we can use google to search and even maybe use PM to give "assistance" to others that are searching for these elusive files.
But I'm not saying to PM the files themselves... I'm saying to give "assistance" for "acquiring" them.

Weird thing happens when you open an apk with winrar, double click the assets folder, double click the "name of folder as it would appear on sdcard"_zip, and double click the file in it... even if you have to tell windows to open the file with winrar,,
So how where you able to get past the EULA? the screen size is totally off. If there is an agree button I definitely don't see it. lol
Nevermind... I figured it out.

Yeah. Most of the files give you an error that says "the archive is either in unknown format or damaged." But I managed to find everything but the map for California (or possibly the US if there is one).
Yep, cant get past EULA.
I don't know which file to open! It says unknown file type

Right click "aa", and extract. You should end up with lang and licenses.

I already have those files. I Need the voice and maps. I don't think they are where they are suppose to be. Haykuro's one map file was 32MB I think. The whole APK is around 11MB.
anyone? please?
Do a google search for this...
USA_Florida_2007.10_080311.fbl
And you will find what you are looking for. I dl'ed the torrent it included many voices and all the maps. Total size was 3 Gb. But I didnt dl all of it.

v28J on server, but impossible to download

It looks like that v28J is already on server. However, they keep blocking us to download it, so that's why you as me gets the "forbidden" message. Bad LG.

useragent of lg mobiletools
Do anyone know what's the useragent of LG mobiletool? I'm thinking that they are not blocking IP but useragent, since the message says that "Your CLIENT is not allowed to access the requested object."

It is LGUserCSTool. I tried it, but it didn't work
Nothing is impossible. I might know a way to dl this. Will try when I get home from work
The V28I link is also "forbidden", so maybe LG didn't upload it yet.

Nope, even elite Korean proxies can't do the work. I suppose it might be htaacess blcokes and we need login system to acces this part of server.
I waited patiently and they changed files in 08:46:41 Seoul time and I catch response five minutes later.
I was convinced that files stay some time than they delete them, but noooo, I cannot download any file even it was only 5 minutes later than they supposedly upload it. Here is response from testsw query:

I don't know how you'd get this link, but you're not downloading it because it's fake. The real address to v28J is that on the first post, witch have a file with 730380475 bytes (~730mb), but unfortunately LG blocked usof downloading the file.
You can check the file size and info with "curl -I address" (note that's an big i, not a small L)

Can't download because there's a Jaguar Webcache system in front of the Oracle Webserver... reverse caching proxy locks out by ip and serves a fake 404 and/or blocks us from downloading.
Plus, the content-type is text/plain while it should be at least application/octet-stream to represent a binary. 100% proxy response here.
So basically we're locked out thanks to the reverse proxy. Not much we can do i guess...

[R&D] [Discussion] Non-dev edition bootloader unlocking

We need our bootloader unlocked. Yes, the developer editions are useful in this case. Our devices are MSM8960 just so you know.
Current Knowledge:
Appsboot address in memory: We don't know yet. It is not in 0x88F00000 becuase motorola stashed it somewhere else (or filled aboot with zeros to protect it from reverse engineering)
We need appsboot reversed engineered in order to unlock the bootloader. I attached some files (ATT 4.1.1) that we need.

n00bs - STAY AWAY FROM THIS THREAD!!!
Update 1:
Attached memory dump module.
Somebody with root needs to compile the kernel module and run it and upload /sdcard/dump.rom
Thanks!!!
Update 2:
Don't flash another cid + utags.
Instead, mostly by reverse engineering aboot or dumping and comparing dev editions (which we don't have ), we could find what happen(like if nand is written to).
Removed memory dump module because we don't need it (for now).
Update 3:
Just uploaded a bunch of tools and documentation and unlocked bell cid and utags.
Go and download it here:
http://d-h.st/5C9
Update 4:
THIS IS NOT THE ACUAL BOOTLOADER UNLOCK, THIS IS TOOLS TO HELP WITH UNLOCKING THE BOOTLOADER!!!
Also, I found a ton of information about aboot (all in the header too). I also found out that the 0x88F00000 is protected rather than based somewhere else.
The Bell bootloader, if all the cid's use the same signature, then flash cid + utags from bell unlocked and woola, your bootloader is unlocked (does NOT Work on AT&T!!!). THIS IS UNTESTED THOUGH SO DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK
Code:
Non-unified boot
appsbl = 0x00000005
flash partition version = 0x00000003
Base = 0x88F00000
image size = 0x0003FFD8
Code size = 0x0003F7D8
Base + code size = 0x88F3F7D8
Size of signature = 0x00008000
Code Size + base + Size of signature = 0x88F3FFD8
Certificate Chain Size = 0x0
Also bad news,
I hard bricked my device :crying:. But I'm not leaving here without unlocking the bootloader.
Some Arm Code:
Code:
start
MOV R8, #0 ; We havn't compared any bytes yet...
loc_88F18A80
ADD.W R3, R4, R8 ; R4 (I don't remember if this is an address or a return value) + 78 = The UNIQUE_KEY
LDRB.W R2, [R6,R8] ; Load input code
LDRB.W R3, [R3,#0x4E] ; Load correct code
CMP R2, R3 ; Compare n'th byte from correct code and code inputed
BEQ loc_88F18AC0 ; If they equal move to the next byte
B password_incorrect ; Password is incorrect
loc_88F18AC0
ADD.W R8, R8, #1 ; Byte done
CMP.W R8, #20 ; Do twenty times, or the length of the passcode
BNE loc_88F18A80 ; We havn't done it twenty times yet, keep on until we compare each byte

We need our bootloader unlocked. Yes, the developer editions are useful in this case. Our devices are MSM8960 just so you know.
Current Knowledge:
Appsboot address in memory: 0x88F00000
We need appsboot reversed engineered in order to unlock the bootloader. I attached some files (ATT 4.1.1) that we need.

Woulldn't someone with an unlocked bootloader need to run it? Lock bootloaders cannot run kernel modules as far as I know.

They can if they are rooted, Which I'm Not . We just need them in order to crack the algorithm. Thats one approach.
The other is to crack the SBL1 Private Keys (Longer).
Kudos to all of you for giving this a solid effort. We have a nice bounty brewing for whomever opens this device up.

WAIT!!!,
Could you dump your boot image for 4.1.1 and send it to me?
Thanks in advanced,

Dumping MOB30D system image

I dumped older 6.0.1 releases before. But I can't do after MOB30D update. It's like everything changed after this update.
I just need to know where is "NON-HLOS.bin" and "emmc_appsboot.mbn" files
Sorry for my bad english not a native speaker here

Hello, I am from Android One Second generation forum. I didn't get any help there. We have few developers and quite few knowledge.
It's a google phone too like nexus 6P

You're still speaking on the second gen forums. No need to say that. Can't TWRP image it for you?
Partitions scheme has not changed since Lollipop.
Code:
ls -al /dev/block/platform/soc.0/7824900.sdhci/by-name
NON-HLOS.bin = modem -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p21
emmc_appsboot.mbn = aboot -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p3
