Its essentially the same phone, and its real name is probably 'diamond touch pro' so i'm sure it does.

well july is q3, so before the mda diamond is released? its q3 id say... september maybe?

www.gsmhelpdesk.nl says Q2. Maybe they're planning a simultaneous release?

AFAIK, both devices will be avilable at the same time.

T-Mobile press release said end of summer, so I'm guessing September. At which point, my Diamond will be handed to the wife, and I'll have a keyboard and 8Gb+ of storage back again...

BTW, I may develop a habit of attacking your Raphael with my Touch Diamond.

12 hours on, and specs are more solid now. reports suggest 256 ram and 512 rom!!! i may well not get a diamond and get this. Paul from modaco says july on tmob, so before that sim free... if some better release date estimates come, and theyre around july, ill get one. if none come, il get myself a diamond...

You're making my poor Touch look so old (128MB ROM, 64MB RAM)...

because it is. it was underpowered, and released with half the ram and rom of devices released before it, and then devices fom htc released a month later. thats why i got an elfin not an elf

and it starts? how many times have u flashed a rom? is your touch even cid unlocked? do you know what cid is?
ive had 4 htc devices and 5 ppcs in total, and all have been flashed with custom roms.
so end of argument.

I got you the latest information from INKINO. Have you edited the registry to get more out of the built-in software? Have you edited the original TouchFLO animations? You use the easy methods to improve your device, by letting others do the work or by simply ripping stuff out of ROMs.

im a big supporter of NFSFAN's roms after using his rom on my VZW TP and I hope he decides to whip something up for our phones !

I just got mine this morning and am already having flash anxiety. I am used to flash my own cooked omnia roms with close to nothing on them. there is so much stuff on this phone that i don't want, thanks VZW.
So if we are able to get a Hard spl unlock we should be able to use any topaz kitchen as long as we use our OEM right?

LOL I know what you mean. I haven't even finished cleaning up from unboxing, don't have all my traditional apps on and tested yet and I stop by to see what's cooking in the kitchens already!
I am looking forward to using the phone though. I already seems much better than my Touch Pro.

tethering to laptop
Hey all! Anyone know if/how you can tether to a laptop for use as a modem.. Kinda need it..

We desperately need to kick it up a few notches. Although I love my imagio there are so many good devices coming out that we need software and features fast. We have an ass load of potential we need this hspl so desperately I hope its coming along. I will donate the hell out of good developers.
Some things I've been thinking of.
We need to make this bad boy use motion commands, implement g-trigger or something similar cooked in.
We need to implement TFLO 3D Build 1920 and tweak it to run fast.
We need the a rom that runs stock, with only tflo running, to be at less than 40% of resources.
We need to be able to read and use 32gb storage cards.

haha.. well said!! it's weird because i don't ever remember a hspl taking this long.. is it because there's something new with the imagio? like some new technology that nobody's worked with yet??

Well, according to another user somewhere that contacted HTC they said that it was a unique device to Verizon so it could be that some time is needed before they can get this one hacked.

Well the folks at pccgeeks have posted instructions to unlock the CDMA Touch Pro 2... My understanding is that the Imagio is a "variant" of the CDMA TP2... maybe we'll see a ROM and SIM unlock for the Imagio in the not too distant future.

I'm sure when sprint gets the diamond2 (whitestone) hspl will come very shortly after. Should be next month, thought it might be November 1st, but I haven't heard anything. But is guaranteed to be here within Q4 this year.

For the 18 millionth time, the Whitestone is not the Topaz (Diamond2)!

I have heard that she is working on it as we speak and should have something in a reasonably short time.

HTC Desire ROM on G1?

My friend just showed me his new HTC Desire rom and it's using the Sense UI w/multi touch which look really awesome o_o'. Does anyone know if the G1 will get a port for the desire like the N1 or are we stuck with firmware 1.5/2.0/2.1? Since it's just the N1 with a Hero rom

HELL NO. Use common sense. The Desire has a 1 ghz processor compared to 528 mhz on g1/mt3g. It has 573 mb of RAM compared to 192 mb of RAM.
If we can put a laggy Hero ROM on your phones how do we get a freaking Desire ROM? Just do yourself a favor and buy a new phone.
Just wait until Hero gets sense UI 2.1 and for someone to port it (if anyone has the lame g1/mt3g or even cares about it. Did you see how new ROMs are barely coming out now since the top devs got the nexus one! I can't wait until my contracts run out so I can get a new android phone)

The hero roms I've ran weren't very laggy compared to stock OS '

But Rosie isnt scalable like the vanilla android and most apps are now, we gotta wait till hero gets it.

I'd have to agree with this. It's analogous to installing Windows Vista on a 200 MHz Pentium-II processor. Can it be done? Sure. Will it be usable? Unlikely.

but seriously though you never know, the devs might find a way to make it usable.
when there's a will, there's a way.

It will be too slow and stuff like that. Screen size issues and we got to optimize the hell out of it just to make it lag decent.
Plus it is too big to fit on the system partition of the g1 even with the death spl.

well i hope a dev like KING can port for the g1 - i know he can, the guy is a beast, just give it some time

hi im new at this stuff, and i must say their are some real good cooked rom here, but i was wondering are they any cooked rom in here that gear toward T-mobile touc pro 2 phone with sense 2.6 and has the t-mobile settings. so pretty much t-mobile stuff with addition to the sense 2.6. thanks in advance

I see. The HD ROM I made for my wife actually has that version of Sense. I never knew it "2.6". Just thought it was the latest versions of Sense 2.5.

I may be wrong, but from what I read, 2.6 is just 2.5 for the TI OMAP Processors as it has a different graphics chip require a different texture formating. Where 2.5 uses an ATI texture format because Qualcomm chips have an ATI Graphics processor.
NOTE: When AMD bought out ATI, they sold the mobile graphics devision of ATI to Qualcomm.

After you answer his question. I personally like Sense 2.1 build 21XXX because it run smooth on the TP2... so you should go for a rom like that... but if u want extra eye candy... etc etc going with sense 2.5

There is no best rom.
Look, this thread is full of roms, isnt it? So what is the purpous of this thread and for that matter, your question?
Especially when a cook comes and says "Try mine it is the best".
I ought to think that there would be no replys at all but here is my typing in it.
Look arround and take a pick, if you dont like picked rom try another...
That is the all wisdom.
And if you like one sooo much give donation, to XDA or the cook.

Help us help you.
What don't you like about the Stock ROM? The more specific you get answering this, the better we could help you. Otherwise look around and just pick one. It's not like you're going to be stuck with it forever. There are so many to choose from that you'll eventually find "The One" for you.

i dont like the stock rom at all. its slow! i think u should be able to customize alitlle bit more with the TF3D. as for the settings not being there to change. haveing to rely on registry edit, like the msg notice deal. n the wifi dont reconnect after cuming back from suspend. it suck pretty much..
im lookin for a rom that fully unlocks the setting, and is stable. and looks half way desent. i was liken the core evo. thats about all that i looked at really.
i just aint tryin to mess up my fone. i guess i can just look around. just tryin to get peeps opinions. yeh if i find a rom that i like i prolly will donate.. u aint gettin my money that eazy. i just got here. havent even found a rom

Well my personal favorite are jackos s2 V1.3 smartmove fast and stable, Core Cell evo for the eye candy, deepshining loaded with nice app and program, and my all time favorite Joshkoss STABLE-FAST-PROFESSIONAL

jackos s2 V1.3 is the fastest/ bugfree too me. im using full, but from what i read all versions are good depending on what your looking for. There isnt a new version every two weeks or so like other roms which shows how stable his roms are imo.
fyi:you're going need the keyboard fix cab for the tilt2.

Have to say, STABLE, FAST, PROFESSIONAL (Josh's ROM) has been the fastest, most stable ROM I've used so far...

Sorry man. just tryin to get an idea of a good rom to use on my first time. not tryin to get a campair of roms. just tryin to find a rom that works. until i no what im doin
just lookin for a rom that is bug free some what. im really startin to not like windows on my phone, always gettin error reports and ****, not like M$ is goin to fix em anyways. thinkin about goin back to samsung, with a simple os. M$ Sux. had 2 hotfix on htc website, and thats it. this phone has nothin but bugs. hopefully a new cooked rom will help

Hey dude I put hardspl on mine and flashed the cookie energy style rom and it's pretty good. Stylish and quick. Also the dinik is good.

Agreed. Jackos Old School ROM is, in my opinion, the best.
