about tp2 official SPL version - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile ROM Development

after upgrading my rhodium from 6.1 to the official WM6.5, the SPL also change from 0.84 to 0.87.
i am now planning to flash hardspl then flash another cooked rom, and want to use the official WM6.5 as backup.
so does the 0.79 relocker still applicable to my phone if later i want to restore it for warranty reason?
or should I get a 0.87 relocker? (if so where can i get it?)
thanks alot for answering.

The .079 relocked should work if you re-flash a stock 6.1 ROM.
If you don't have one for your carrier you should still be OK. I'll enquire with cmonex about a 0.87 relocker.
Thread closed, could have been posted in one of many exsisting threads.

Need Help Newbeeee

Hi
I just got a dopod c800 AKA p4350.
Its got WM 5 on it. I wanted to upgrade the same to WM6.
Have read the threads but couldnt figure the english rom version and also need some help on upgrading.
can someone point me to the right rom and the instructions.
thanks
Whatever you do, if your SPL is currently 1.XX do NOT hardSPL or use USPL. Use the official RUU to attemp to flash your device. IF it changes your SPL and IPL to 4.xx then you can use HARDSPL and USPL.
Other than that, you can download the official WM6 from the thread that's stickied that talks about all the ROMs.

Upgrade question

Sorry for Offtopic but, i cant install official wm5 rom cause.
The ruu with wm5 doesnt work> connection error
The .nkb doesnt work with ruu mun> file read error
What to do???
LOLOLOLOL
Are you sure it is .nkb? Wizard doesn't use that kind of ROM...
What?? Of course he uses. I extracted the RUU and rom file from .exe instaler.
What could i do? I tried also flash it with softspl and i didnt work.
Well, which rom you are trying to flash and which rom is at present running on the phone, plz be specific ?This problem usually occurs when trying to flash a rom in a language different then already present on the phone. Are you running a Russian or some other language OS on the phone and trying to flash with a rom in some other language ?

I have T mobile mda vario g4 and i want to install official wizard wm5 rom in german language. And i cant.
No i am running wm6.1 with english language. I had never, after the hardspl, problem with flashing g4 roms. Everithing worked perfect with muunˇs RUU.
I have english rom( all instaled roms were anglish) and i want to downgrade to official wm5 german rom. And tzhen upgrade to another wm6 or wm6.1 rom.
Why i cant??
Sorry. U are right. The rom file is. nbf , and yeah the official rom is like that.
If i try to flash it with ruu in official pack - i cant cause wrong update tool ( no connection)
And if i want to flash this official rom with munn ruu - file read error( something wrong with .nbf file)
sry, double post
and thanks for helping me out
Ok,I got your point. You are at present on wm6.1 latest custom build rom in english and you want to go back to your phones official wm5 rom,ok ?
Right, well,as you have done 'HardSPL' your phone and its IPL/SPL is patched to IPl 2.21.0001 and SPL 2.21.olip,right ?
ok,now as you have patched to ipl 2.21.0001 & spl 2.21 olip through 'HardSPL',its not possible to revert back to official rom, untill you remove the 'HardSPL' from your phone and flash the original/official IPL/SPL of your phones carrier Rom bootloaders. After only removing HardSPL and getting the official ipl/spl,it'll will be possible to flash the official wm5 rom,ok
Now,how to remove 'HardSPL', read and follow the method as instructed in the 'Sticky' in the G4 forum by dharvey "How To: Remove HardSPL"
Well, then again,if you want to upgrade to another wm6 rom, you'll have to either again use 'HardSPL' or 'SoftSPL',but,if at all,you want to flash with another wm6 rom, then why first downgrade to wm5,why not straight away flash the rom while with HardSPL still on the phone ?
Cheers!
Yeah, everything is soo as u wrote.
you: why not straight away flash the rom while with HardSPL still on the phone ?
I have very strange problem with wm6.1 rom that i would like to use, until the new paradox rom will come out. i will try it for sure.
U can read about problem in wm6 subforum in windows Mobile 6.1 slim editon thread.
So do i have any option unless to remove hardspl?
u are the king , i wouldn come in weeks to the "please remove hardspl, " solution. hahahaha thanks again
Ok, thanks
well,if you got a problem with the wm 6.1 slim, then just flash another wm6.1 latest rom e.g by 'it's right' 'TNT 19199 series Professional Rom' as I have personally used it and found it to be an excellent rom, without removing HardSPL and reverting back to official wm5 rom.Just give it a try,I'm pretty sure you'll like it and may sove all your problem,as it'll replace all the rom files of the previous wm6.1 slim rom.
Cheers!
Tooo late. hehe
To remove the hardspl u need 2 minutes. I removed it and tried to instalruu_vario_aku3.3_3822_382120_026911_tmo_de_ger_ship
Again once again i get the message from ruu = error file read.
Could somebody open that rom and look for problems.

First one on the site.
Right now i want to flash another official rom( from remove hardspl thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=342744) and it say again file read.
What could that mean??
EDIT:
I just succesfully instaled ruu_vario_aku3.3_3822_ rom with ruu in the rom` folder. I tried also the T-Mobile MDA Official WM5 Rom (old) with his ruu and it didnt worked. Also softspl didnt work on both roms.
I need quick answer
now i flashed wm5 rom aku 3.3 and the ipl/spl changed to 3.08 . Before was 2.26 which i got with instaling ipl/spl pack.
Is that bad for g4 with ipl/spl 3.08 , is it safe to install wm6.1 roms?????

is HardSPL necessary to flash an original ROM

Hi I have a HTC not ORANGE, AT&T, Turkcell etc. TYTN2, which is German and it is not Cid locked.
I want to flash an original English ROM (RUU_Kaiser_HTC_WWE_1.56.405.5_radio_sign_22.45.88.07_1.27.12.11_Ship.rar), is it necessary to run the HardSPL or can I just run the rom update utility.
Thanks.
Now don't quote me on this but I think if you're flashing an OEM rom from ATT to an ATT branded phone you don't neeed to update the spl. same is true for the HTC kaiser when flashing an official HTC rom. But, if you wanna flash an ATT Rom to your HTC kaiser, or vice versa, I believe you need to change the spl. Now I'm not 100% sure about this and hopefully one of the senior members can clarify this, but you could just play it safe and switch ot like jocky's 3.29 or 3.56 spl and not worry too much about it.

Looking for Vodafone UK Stock Rom & SPL for TP2

I really want to get a WM6.5 Rom on my TP2 however I want to make sure I'm able to send my device back to Vodafone if i need to make a warranty call. The problem is I can't find a Stock UK Vodafone Rom or SPL anywhere (Rom Version 1.14.161.5 (50207) WEE, Radio Version 3.44.25.27).
In actual fact I could get away without the Rom, but I really need the SPL!
Can anybody help?
The stock SPL is 0.79 see the Hard SPL thread for the re-locker.
The Stock ROM is on Vodafones website and the sticky post by udk.

Flashing Back to Stock ROM

can anyone give me a step by step on how to flash my ROM back to STOCK?
if you want it for warranty reasons then you will need to flash the SPL also to stock. you can just download the latest ROM from HTC website and flash it. it will give you the stock ROM on the existing SPL.
End of the post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2710548&postcount=1.
Remember you will also need to go back to stock spl if for warranty purposes.
i have another problem, when in bootloader it wont change from serial to usb but was a week ago

nevermind what i said there, for sum reason it works again now
I've kinda got thesame question. I flashed a stock rom (latest EU rom from HTC site), then stock SPL (1.14) and then the stock rom again. Is this enough to be able to claim warranty without HTC finding out about custom roms/boatloaders?
Thanks

That depends. What was your original rom and spl? Are you entitled (via location) to use the new EU rom, eg if you live in America then this may not be acceptable to HTC.
When you boot up the new rom, are the screen colours ok as this will tell you if you have the right spl for your rom? If you have the latest EU rom, I doubt that 1.14 spl would be the right one, but it could be I guess. With the stock rom, you should also get the stock radio. So provided you have the stock rom available to your area, with the correct matching spl and the radio, there is no way to tell of your exploits
Thanks for your reply
The problem is that the screen of my device won't turn on anymore (Device powers on, I can connect with activesync, digitizer works fine) so i have no way of checking if I have the right SPL or not...
I also have no idea what my stock rom/spl/radio version was.. I live in the Netherlands, and through the official HTC site i flashed the latest rom, which included a radio (a radio version was part of the filename). What I'm trying to find out is:
Could 1.14 have been my stock SPL, or was that version never used on any Dutch Blackstone?
If the spl doesn't match the rom (wrong colours) that isn't much of a problem; I can tell them I tried to update my rom because I thought maybe my screen would work again after I installed the latest ROM... But if I have a SPL that was never even used I don't think they will buy that
According to the wiki there are 2 Dutch roms - one would require a 1.14.0000 spl and the other a 1.54.0000 spl. So I guess either of those would do.
When you flashed the rom from the website, where you still using hspl or uspl? Depending on the rom you flashed you will need to flash the matching spl. Do you have the full notation/naming of the rom you flashed. This should give an indication of which spl you will need.
As much as I appreciate ClydeB1 for assisting you, I fail to see a reason for this thread. A thread already exists for flashing advice, i.e. the dummies guide. Also the HardSPL thread exists and has advice on how to flash back to stock. So depending on your query post in either of these.
The initial query and reason this thread was created has been answered, so no need for this thread to remain open. Thread closed
