I've tried searching with google and didn't find what I was looking for.
Is there a difference between the danger and the death SPL?
I have 1.33.2005 (SAPP30000) PVT 32B ENG S-OFF H
on my mt3g for tmobile.
Is this the right one? and is it the danger or the death?

if you have a mt3g....you dont need the danger/death spl (which are indeed the same)
the danger/death spl is a htc sapphire spl ported to dream. Go to the sapphire section to get their latest spl.... the danger spl is required mainly due to space constraints on the g1 which the mt3g doesnt have
using the .2005 spl ported for the dream on your mt3g MAY brick your phone

That covers the "safe" SPLs, though in theory a bad flash with any bootloader can brick a phone. If you're interested in the "Danger" SPL, which is also known as the Haykuro SPL or the "newest" SPL, check the link in my sig. This SPL really isn't a problem to flash if you have a PVT board and if you make sure to flash to the latest radio first. It also frees up more room on your device, because it takes up less space and repartitions your device accordingly.
I'm just wondering if the 1.33.2005 spl was from the magic and was not made for the g1. What if the current hardspl or engspl is hex edited to allow space like the 1.33.2005 spl so the phones won't brick.

Since brain crook has released a ebi1 port for dwangs rom i have decided to try it.
My phone is currently running the EBI1 Canadian radio (which I think should be fine with Super 1.7)
But my question is:
I have the SPL 1.33.2005 (DREA21000)
I read on Dwangs rom page that this rom requires the danger spl, can someone please clarify whether or not I am running the danger SPL right now? also if i am does everything look right for me to be using his rom?
mine (as far as i know) is the danger SPL. it reads

SO, i don't think you have the SPL.
Make a backup of your current rom and try it. As far as I know, that SPL is only for g1 phones and others that share the same board with less ROM space.
the dream should have the same rom space, if anytinhg it would have more as it was released later?

No specs were kept the same but design of case changed, hence the reason Rogers customers were offered upgrade to Magic.

Alright so i did have the danger spl because all is working.
I now have a new question,
The dwang rom uses the ram hack so 3d games would be effected. Does this mean that they would run slow or not run at all?
I ask because i tried to play quake and it would force close right away.

Its both:
I was able to use Neocore but received a low rating.But 3D compass and waveblazer wouldnt play at all.The SPL doesnt affect games or apps at all, it only changes how the phone's partitions are setup for use.

Your SPL is the HBOOT number you got. The ROM you are trying to flash doesn't specify any specific SPL but the generally recommended SPLs are Danger SPL, or the newer SPL in this thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=831139

I have an htc G1 and want to upgrade to Gingerbread.
But every time i try to flash gingerbread i get error 7 in cwm.
After reading some topics i saw that i need SPL 1.33.0013D
Now I have 1.33.2005, radio 2.2.19.26I and i also have a PVT board
How can i get SPL 1.33.0013?
