Does anyone know where I can find the stock Tilt 2 rom. I have searched but gotten nothing. I wanna flash a new custom rom but I dont wanna take the risk if there is no stock rom for me to go back to. I want it for warrenty purposes.

I've been toying with the idea of putting a cooked rom on my standard kaiser.
My question is if I do so and then decide I dont like the new rom for whatever reason, can I get a copy of the original stock 6.0 version from somewhere to re-install?
Thanks

you will not want to revert, make sure you choose a decent rom to flash, and you will be chuffed to bits,

You want to intentionally go OUT OF YOUR WAY to make it difficult for the buyer to be able to do what they want with it?
LEAVE AN ENGINEERING SPL ON IT!!!!
Install SPL version 1.33.2003 -- this is a full engineering SPL with original partition layout.
Then you head over to developer.htc.com/adp.html and grab the newest ADP1 firmware files. Flash that.
The thing will be root-via-adb and fastboot, so the new user will not have to do any weird hacks to get what he wants from the thing. At the same time, he will have a bone stock ROM on it that functions predictably.
This Might have been asked already but i dont know how to search for it. Mainly what im asking is if there is a way to flash roms without restoring to stock each time. I want to be able to just boot to a different rom on the go without the computer. Kindof like dual booting a computer. Please let me know if this is possible and if its a bad idea. Thanks
im curious to know the same!
I do not think you can do what you are asking. You can flash one rom directly over another but there is a risk it does not go over well. I use to flash cognition build over the last without issue. I think it its more dangerous to go from one rom to a different rom

As I am new to tall this I can honestly say that it is a VERY BAD IDEA to do that. You are better off just going back to stock and flashing a new one. I figured this out the hard way.
generally you can flash a new version of the same ROM over an old version only if you go in order. Any other situation no. In other words:
1.0
1.1
1.2
not
1.0
1.2
I'm itching to try out some of those custom kernels and ROMS that you guys have been hard at work on.. but to do that I _must_ be able to return the phone to unrooted stock when I'm done.
Is there some way that I'm not aware of to do this?
Because all the stuff I've read so far suggest that I have to customize it to be able to back it up... which means I wont have an uncustomized backup...
So I ordered this phone yesterday and I want to try some custom roms on it but I don't know if rooting while on Next would be a safe idea. I'm positive i can root and flash a rom with no problems but if i wanna switch phones in 18 months will I still be able to?
If it just needs to be the way they shipped it, will flashing a stock rom and un-rooting do the trick?
Thank you all in advance, and keep up the great work. Happy rooting. :highfive:
I would assume you would be in the clear as long as you dont trip the Knox counter. It would be a safe bet to un-root it and such when you take it back in to trade for a new phone.
