ok...so i got a windows vista update utility for the HTC wizard ,but now i need help to modefy the utility to work with custom roms....we need to remove the contry id check.etc.....if you know how to do it please contact-me.

no......... but it works with vista with the original rom.

Faria, I dont know how to remove the coutry id check but will be great if you upload it to the ftp for those that have problems(like me) using old ruu in vista.

I have not been successful in getting this to work in Vista OS, so I just created a partition and installed XP as second OS. Hey, it works until bugs worked out of Vista.

I can flash my phone with Vista, with the offical Cingular 2.25 (which uses RUU 2.5.2) ROM. When I replace the nk.nbf, it can't open the file. Maybe this helps. If anyone knows what the RUU looks for in the rom file, maybe we could fix it.
Did you tried tools than enable all buttons of an application ? (I've done than quite a long time ago and it worked) ?

I do help someone can advise me. I am in the difficult position of having borrowed an O2 XGAii and having the hubris to try and upgrade the bios. The process failed and now the device is completely dead and wont respond in any way. The owner is asking for it back. Any clues on how I can fix it or even who I can take it too in Sydney, Australia to fix it for me?

erm i suppose u mean a xda2 or the xda2i?

if the device is showing boot loader on the screen then just rerun the update but not on a pc running windows vista or it will fail, u have to use a xp or xp pro pc. you will find the bios updates in the forums, but make sure you are sure which pda you have.
Hi i'm new in this, i need upgrade my treo 750 to windows mobile 6.1 from windows mobile 5.0, i tried with instructions of other forums, but i can't . thanks for the help. i try use kaiser hard spl but after the run the program the treo is break and i need reset.
I am currently using a ( Palm Treo 750 Unlocked ) with T-mobile service. It has windows mobile 5 and I am trying to upgrade to Windows Mobile 6 or 6.1. is this possible for me? Can you please point me in the right direction to do this.

hmm...i think you might need to get 6.0 first and then 6.1 b/c 5.0 doesnt have the right .net compact framework.
i found i needed the correct .net compact framework and .net framwork on my pc to get the upgrade to run smoothly. once you get 6.0, just follow the instructions on post #3 here..

i personalyl didn't do the last step there though, because i had all the functionality needed (can someone tell me why i would want to flash radio?)
but yea, figure out hwo to get to 6.0 first, then use the instructions in the link above. u'll need activesync, usb cable, and card reader.

k got windows mobile 6 now i tried this one, http://www.hawleytronics.com/downloads/tn-750wm61ug.php and it didnt do anything when i followed the direction it didnt ask me to start the download or anything.... my phone is still unlocked so now what? which 6.1 do i need to use?
