Re-download your ROM, enter in bootloader (tricolor screen), and re-flash.

the problem is, that i cant start the bootloader
what shall i do now ?
does your pc recognize your device?
if yes...try to start RUU (from PC) with your stockROM.
mein pc erkennt kein USB device und auch keine HTC diamond

there are several ways to try to revive your diamond, did you remove the battery for at least 10 min an try again to start?
search the forums, don't give up yet...i hope it works out for you and sorry i can't be of anymore help.

i thinks its fixable, i just had also an hard problem.
try the following.
push "vol. down" + round button + reset, and hold
if ok, you see menu en pres restore to factory default.
( format only your os partition )
.. if still os does not start, do the following.

follow it, this worked for me.
remove phone from computer.
if al done, reboot the computer so normal drivers are going to be used again.
put on phone and pres "vol down" + <-- button and pres reset.
you phone goes from serial to usb, and now you can flash again.
make user you hard spl your phone first. ( i use oli's 1.93 ) radio 13...
Y gen rom , great for me.
good luck restoring the phone, and don't give up. me was also 5 hours buzzy..

OK i did a search but did not find anything really related..
a friend of mine at work here just handed me his 8125 after "attempting" to flash his ROM. Not sure what the heck he did BUT
1) the usb is not recognized so not active sync.
3) 3 battery meter only shows a plug (lower right ) yet the battery works.
the phone does recognice the charger..

Camera Button is the only one you need to hold when resetting...
i apologize but i must be missing something..
i reset (soft reset and camera button) get cingular screen
starts to boot up and goes to today screen where it does not recognize usb..
is there something else i am to do ?

Press the reset (or power down your device by holding the power button until you get the Okay to turn-off warning).
HOLD the camera button as your device powers up. This will get the BootLoader
just woke up and read your reply thanks ..
this is what i ended up doing
i bluetoothed from one of the roms enterbootloader.exe was able to run it
than ran one of the earlier rom upgrades..
re running the lockiwizb and will install sumters rom2
one question if you read this .. on both of the phones 8125's i get an error at the end of the bat file when running the lockiwiz.. is this normal ? is it because it was already ran once ? i am running it from the root (C

i use a
Orange SPV 3000 cid/sim unlocked
WM 6 NBD 7.3
IPL / SPL 2.26
GSM 02.25.11
OS 5.2.1413 (Build 17913.0.3.0)
Now i tried to go back to the latest German ROM Update provided by ORANGE CH.
(RUU_Prodigy_21611_2161111_010410_OR_CH_GER_Ship.exe)
The Update Process start's on the PC Screen and remains on 0% and will terminate with ERROR [260]: UPDATE ERROR
The Phone hangs and cannot enter in "3 color update mode".
I have to take out and reinsert the battery to bring the Wizard back to Work.
Then the Wizard start's up and you can work without any Problems. (Exept you have to set the Date / Time again it is set to 2006-02-14 12:00)
Next Steps
- did a Reboot on the PC and the Wizard -> Same Result
- tried to Flash NBD 7.3 ROM again -> Same Result
- did a Hard Reset (press the 3 Buttons on Reset then Send Button ) and tried to Flash again -> Same Result
- tried to manualy enter Update mode (press Camera Button on Reset) with the same Result the "3 color update mode" will not appear
Has anybody a Idea what else i can do?

when manually entering bootloader mode are still holding the camera button in after the reset button is released? I usually hold for about 5 seconds after the reset button is released. im sorry if that don't work for you. never heard of anyone having trouble not getting into bootloader before.

I assume the Problem is locatet on the PC and have to find out why i can't flash my Device again.
Recently i changed something on the PC - I installed a external BlueTooth-Dongle from MSI including the MSI BlueTooth Software
Starting now with the easyest step - reinstalling Active Sync 4.5 and try again.

I tried to Flash a ROM and it work's
i did not change anything exept entering the bootloader mode manually once.(no reinstall activesync or deinstall bt software !)
May be entering the Bootloader Mode manualy "cured" my PDA?

im glad you got it to work. Most important thing is to read make sure you know how to and are confident enough flash roms. Makes things a whole lot easier. Atleast that way if something goes wrong you will be able to backtrack a lot easier and maybe explain your situation a whole lot better. Hope everything else goes wonderful for you and have fun man.

Today my D2 decided not to work at all when switching "ON" the screen stays at the windows mobile welcome screen and refuses to continue "Freeze".
I tried soft and hard rests without success...
Anybody can help please?!!!....
Doesn't sound good.
The next thing I would try is to take the battery out for about 30 minutes, then try again with battery replaced. I had a weird issue with an old PDA where on ocassion it would refuse to turn on, and the only fix was to leave out the battery for at least 15 minutes.

Hi, though your question has nothing to do with any kind of development, , maybe you should be posting in general section, this is a wild guess, the answer to your question is easy, enter bootloader and flash the oficial rom suited for your device.
If this doesn´t work send it to your distributor.

Should i know???
By pressing volume down + the red soft reset button will take you to the bootloader.
The Topaz is yours, what language is it??

I went to the bootloader by pressing volume down + ON/OFF button. However, at the bottom of the screen it says (Serial)...
My Topaz language or original ROM is (RUU_Topaz_HTC_WWE_1.39.405.2_Radio_Signed_Topaz_61.20t.25.10_3.43.25.19_Ship).
volume down + the red soft reset button will take you to the bootloader.
Download the rom and flash it in bootloader, (tricolour screen).

I already went to the bootloader (tricolour screen) and I have a copy of the rom (at my desktop). The point here (correct me if I'm wrong) to flash it in the bootloader by doing these:
1- Go to bootloader....
2- Connect D2 to my PC through USB cable...
3- Then run the downloaded ROM...
Sorry but I'm still new to PPC....

I just flashed my HTC touch diamond with ROM: EnergyROM_28011_DIAMOND_24.Dec.2009_Standard_Sense2.1
And it won't boot into WM, when I turn it on it says "Touch Diamond" in white letters with black background for about 20 seconds or so then it vibrates and repeats the same thing again. I have no idea what to do.. I have flashed my HTC about 10 times and this has never happened. I can't access it at all.. my computer will not recognize the device and the RUU can't connect to it either so I can't reflash it........... any ideas? Any help is MUCH appreciated
Hard Reset !!
You should go into bootloader mode to flash another rom (vol down + power on).
If its not solved by hard resetting/reflashing you should MTTY.
Hard reset with MTTY and reflash!
I tried to unlock my diamond, now it turns over, I try a hard reset, it works not so.
when I plug in the charger, the LED does not light.

Yep, just did the same.. Got an error that it was the wrong model id at the end. Now i cant enter bootloader, its a brick.

you can not solve this problem my friend becouse i made the same thing and the phone is dead....I just found some litle informations in my searches and it can be done only by jtag mode
so if u are an expert and if u have a programmer u maybe can do this.....

Once i stuck in the boot of my phone in a rom everytime i turned it on ? oO but i solved the problem (after 2 ****in weekz without phone)
But this is what i Did
Ill simply pressed this at same time(Vol down, reset button & back arrow)
and deleted the which deleted the old OS backup (your phone still works)
and then i turned it off and pressed the same combo again
which will turn your phone in USB mode then put it into ur PC u maybe wont see it but that doesnt matter the same happened 2 me just go 2 HTC website from ur country and download the latest ROM update they got and let it load into and when ur done just reset ur phone and everything should be OK u can just load a new custom rom (Note u need HardSPL Installed i do not think u can do without ) just PM me if u need more help

EDIT: I got mine working by pressing Power + Vol Dwn + Enter (circle button) + reset and hold them till the screen turns white. then follow the steps on the screen.
