hello,
anyone else a bit paranoid using third party software to store passwords and bank information? what keeps the program from sending over the pw/login file to someplace and have it hacked?
therefore, im looking for an encryption program and found secubox. however, id like something like truecrypt. anyone know of better?
thanks
Encryption for Passwords
Try keepass, can be found at http://keepass.info open source. The download section also contains link to a PPC and smartphone version.
Not had any problems so far and been using it for about 7 months.
you can also go to your settings > systems > and encyption.
to only allow your device to see whats in the storage card

It sounds like you're looking for FreeOTFE4PDA and FreeOTFE, which works on both PCs and Windows Mobile (see: www.FreeOTFE.org)
Hi guys!
I was wondering why the usb-tethering option is not available in our LGOB?
I came from an cheap Samsung Galaxy Ace - and here i had WiFi-Tethering along with USB-Tethering.
As far as i know, thats a Android Stock-Feature?
Therefore, is there a way to just enable the usb-tethering (e.g. with a line in the build.prop or something similar)?
I dont want to use 3rd party-apps to get this running, since i love a straight, clean system without too many apps.
Looking forward to hear from you!
So I've just gotten a P8 Lite with EMUI 4.0 and Android 6.0 installed as a replacement phone from the store for a couple of weeks probably.. And I just noticed that it doesn't have the "Privacy Protection" settings, so I can't add a guest user / second account on the same phone? Is this something that has to be activated or is there a workaround? It should be under Settings > Advanced Settings > Security > Privacy Protection but that last option just isn't there...
Is there any communication about WHY they took out this function? Googled a bit but didn't find anything useful, besides some other frustrated people but no real answers as to why it has disappeared or possibly how to work around?
Why? I don't know. It's Huawei!!
As for the solution, check this thread - chapter 10 (if you mmeet the prerequisites) ....
From what I could gather, Samsung Professional Audio was removed in December and only exists on phones with Oreo or earlier versions. It was removed with Pie. Apps like Soundcamp and iMPC were dependent on it.
As it stands, the last version of Soundcamp gives a message about the app's support finishing in late December, then the app closes when you close the prompt. The app is said to still work only if the device is on Oreo. iMPC is still on the Galaxy Store but all reviews complain about it not opening, I assume because the required files are not available.
I bought an S10e (I know this is the S10 section but it applies to all three models) and I don't know if it's even possible to revert to Oreo when these models ship with Pie already installed. Is there any way whatsoever to get Professional Audio to work so I can get Soundcamp and iMPC working? All I could find was a download for Professional Audio but it's not an app you can install.
Any help is appreciated.
Yeah -- I had the same question.
Really annoying, lots of audio features missing. Wonder why?

Nothing I can find about it on Google. Only the official message on SoundCamp about how it's shutting down. It was a really popular app and I'm really not sure why they'd stop the thing that supported it. I'd downgrade from Pie but my phone shipped with it.
I received the beta update after applying as soon as it was available.
It works pretty well, I installed it through OTA without a factory reset. Haven't noticed any major bug or issue since installing it, it's very good and outisde of a few imperfections, it could easily look like final software in terms of feature and stability.
Only new feature, coming from the Zenfone9, is the Edge Tool, that allows apps to be run from a sidebar in their own floating window from any screen (reminds me of Small Apps from older Sony phones, pretty useful stuff at the time).
Anyone else from XDA also on the beta?
BlackBerry did it

I hav applied but not yet received the update.
It's almost 2 weeks that I'm also on the beta on Zen 8.
Very pleased also so far. No issues at all. Just VoWifi option not available as it was before with A11 and A12.
Really satisfied with stability, responsiveness, battery life and so on.
Really well done Asus. Please keep up the good job.
