Phone keeps hard resetting

Hi,
I have just tryed to flash both newest laurentius rom and newes kwbr rom
Flashing goes ok, but when all files are loaded, phone just resets and starts all over again.
im on spl-1.56 Olinex
Help needed

Whenever you flash a new rom your phone will automatically reboot and start up again. The phone will need to be setup again with date/time etc but connections etc should automatically setup itself.
This is similar to a hard reset as everything has been wiped from phone apart from OS and whatever you had stored on SD Card
Once setup go to Settings > System and it should state which rom you have installed

Yes but it starts up again with setting time date and so on.
When finished loading files, it starts over as you says, but then rom starts loading again. its like it hard resets all the time instead of just resetting..

I flash. allign screen - set time date and so on - files load - phone restarts
And then i shall allign screen - set time and date - load files - phone restarts
and on and on and on

Ah, right. Apologies. Now I understand your problem better.
Had you ever successfully flashed a rom? Or has thius always happened with a cooked rom?

You can better ask it in L26 ROM topic, but I know that Laurentius ROM (2.3 or 2.4) KEEPS hardresseting automatically due to bugs in his cooked rom. After 2 or 3 times automatic HR it stops....

Yes i have successfully flashed roms, i came from kwbr 2.1
i have tryed with more roms than laurentis´ also with kwbr 2.3 and 2,3,1

Ok, sounds like a hardware problem to me. I've had only automatic Hard Resets with L26's Rom. No problems with Kwbr or Dutty's roms.
Try flashing via USPL and tell us how it goes.

had same problem with l26 rom will never use laurentius rom's again, dutty's and miri's roms are the best

I have tryed with USPL and its the same

Now i cant do anything from my computer. How is it that i flash from sd card?

"take a look at your SD card. direct folder storage card/sdconfig.txt. delete the inside code. im sure there is a code which means hardreset after flash/hardreset. i dont know what it means but i just delete it. but it still hardreset again. so let it hardreset again. then it will be ok until you hardreset your self. lol."
I did it and it worked as a charm. Have you flashed you device with the memory card inserte into it?

no i didnt flash with memory card in it, and memorycard is not in it now
i just managed to flash danish ship rom, but cant seem to flash stock uspl
i will see if phone starts up wit danish ship rom

It worked.. My phone is now alive with danish ship rom..
I will now try to flash newest from Miri..

Anyway, take a look into you SD Card through you PC...is there a folder named "sdconfig.txt"?...if so, take a look into this "sdconfig.txt" and, please, tell what is written into it...

nope, is no such file

Cant flash miris. Just stays at 0 %

managed to get phone back to hard spl thanks to crackwhores fantastic guide.
And at the moment im flashing miris newest rom..

Miris didnt work either, and despite the fact that im on hard spl phone is now with the blurry green screen.
Im beginning to get lost now..

Flashing to new rom

I'm sorry for this post, because the answer is probelly somewhere on this forum. But I can't find it.
I have my diamond for about a year now and I like to install a custom rom with windows mobile 6.5. But I can't seem to figure out what I need for this.
I already chosen a rom, but I have no idea if it is any good, because there are so many roms out.

So my first question, is this rom any good?
Second question, what type of hard SPL do I need, Do I need the normal one that requires roms to be signed or do I need the developers edition?
Third question. Do I need MTTY for this or can I first try it without MTTY?
And the last question, if I don´t like the rom is it easy to install the original rom again or do I need to do something special for that.
I hope you guys can answer my questions so I can start flashing my rom.

EDIT: I tried installing hard-SPL unsigned, but get an error that it can't connected to my phone. But it is connected using windows mobile device center

why do you want to flash a new rom?

ive recenetly done the same, i wanted to flash my rom as the original was tied to vodafone and some of the features like youtube, facebook, and opera wouldnt work as they wanted vodafone connection ( im on virgin mobile).
anyway after much trial and error i in the end found it versy easy.
3 simple steps. first flash your bootloader
i found the best and easiest one was spl olinex version 4.0
u need to softboot to do this ( hold the down volume and switch on phone, have usb cable connected then use the flash util provided with the above.
once thats done you need to flash rom the radio
again the one out there that seems the best to use is version 1.00.25.05 diamondruu radio
again soft reset so you get the try colour screen and run the flash rom update ( takes about 2 mins at most)
finally choose your version of win mobile 6.5 ( i got windows revoluton 7.1 ultra clean edition)
do soft reset again, then run the flash update and again this takes about 5-10 mins for this)
all worked perfectly for me and it was my first try.
though i will be changing it as the revolution is missing some vital aspects i like.
i know its basic but hopeully you can see its not the daunting prospect some people make out though any rom upgrade carries a minot risk i found this to be as easy as 1,2,3

Because I would like some new features on my phone. Like wm 6.5 or a new version of manilla. It's getting a little boring having the same phone for over a year.
@miramele, thanks for your response. I'll give it a try tomorrow and hope I won't brick my phone.

let us know how you get on, it took me several attempts as each time i was trying while within the phone itself, if you hold the down volume key and power on the phone you get the tri colour screen, in this mode i had 100% success each time.
doing it within the OS with phone on it just stuck at 0%.
And since then i have re flashed it with a diff version of wm 6.5 that i prefer and all is good.
the version i flashed to is the manila 2.1 with the latest touchFLO 3d so ive not even bothered with Spb mobile shell though may add this later.

Thanks for the advice, if I understand correctly I have to get to the tri-color screen and then install hard-spl? But can I connect to my laptop while in this mode?
I'm gone try it tomorrow because I didn't have any time today.

Cant flash rom any more

My first post - weee
I been reading and learning from this forum for quite some time now. And I have flash my rom a few times succesfully.
But I upgrade recently to wm 6.5 with the original rom for HTC.
Its not as good as my 6.1 rom, so i have tried to install a different ROM with wm 6.5.
My problem is that it starts ok - the tricolor screen comes and it says USB in the bottom of the screen. The screen then turns white and a status bar is shown (and on the screen of my pc as well). It says 0 % and stays there for 5 minuts or so. Then it says Error 262 and the I have take out the battery and start med phone again.
When i remove the battery and starts the phone im back to my old wm 6.5 original rom - so no harm done.
Why cant i flash my phone ?
I have tried (after reading a lot) to
- unlock the CID ?
- Hard reset
- Soft reset
- using a different rom
Am I missing something or ?

Try flashing from the card rather than PC. or from PC but take out the sdcard. Also make sure you have Hard-SPL still.

take out sd card
do hard reset
do wipe data
go to step 0 and begin with unlocker
flash stock rom
now flash rom you would like.
worst case, if you have trouble flashing it - key--combo to bootloader and flash/hardspl from there

I unlocked the phone using HARD SPL after removing the SD card and flashed it.
It works

Do you have a HardSPL? If not, then you won't be able to flash. You need to do some more reading.

YOU need to do some more reading. Specifically one post above... the OP had fixed his issue with HardSPL...

I had that problem a couple of times actually. For me, it was that my port isn't quite as tight as it used to be. (That's what she said) So I just have to make double sure that my phone doesn't move during the flashing sequence AT ALL. Otherwise the same problem will occur.

troubles in restoring a rom on p3600

I have bought the VPA Compact from a friend in Germany, but I would like to use some italian ROMs, because on the device there was a bepi German ROM with WM5.
So I decided to change ROM; I found the HardSPL, but I didn't care about the fact that the Olipro HardSPL was not installed yet.
Then I putted on the device two italian ROMs, and all seemed ok, because I have installed Claros 3.51 ROM and another one with WM6.1, with also a new RADIO 1.46.11 (or 1.46.10).
Three days ago I saw on Internet about the possibility to put into my device a WM 6.1 Elegance ROM by eLIas, so, ignoring that I need to have Olipro HardSPL, I started to put the WM 6.1 Elegance, but the flashing has not finished well.
In that time, I didn't lost my courage, and I started to use MTTY and I found that there were some blocks corrupted.
Then I tried to flash ROM by miniSD card: neither in this way I reached the goal to put a working ROM on my device; because I tried to put old WM5 italian, Claros 3.51 ROM, some HardSPL (1.04 and 1.1).
So, I ask you if there's some possibility to recover the device and put some ROM, or I need to throw it into the basket?
Hope that someone will answer me.

I wanna say two more things:
everytime I try to flash by WinXP, there is an error (260) from the application utility.
When I try to put a new ROM, the device is turning off after only 1% of progress, and when I try to put an HardSPL, the progress reach 100% and the device is turning off, but I don't see any new change...

Can't upgrade ROM

I've been trying to upgrade my TOPAZ with a custom ROM made here...in case, the ENERGY rom.
I've done this thousands of times, but this time something is not right!
Everything goes just fine until the part that appears on the topaz the bar that shows the ROM instalation progress.
It stucks in 0% and doesn't get out of there!
I've tried everything...and my last try was doing MTTY...once again everything went just fine until the progress bar appeared!!!
No messages of errors are given!
It stays just like if it was flashing the ROM!
I have Hard SPL 2.51
Use windows 7 32 bits
What can I do???

After a long while I get a "error 262"!
How to solve this?

I've also tried to flash ROM through micro SD card...
TOPAIMG.nbh...I get the white screen stating "LOADING..." and never passes that stage!

if you use windows 7 32 bits ! to flash rom on device via PC, you can try to use WMDC 6.1 for Windows Vista (32-bit)
