root problem

hi guys ive had root for a while but now whenever i try to use something requiring root the box will come up requesting permission but the allow/deny buttons wont show up....on cm 4.15.1 if that helps...anyone knows wat the prob is?

It won't show up right if you're in landscape mode. So make sure your keyboard is closed. If not then Reboot. If not, Wipe + Reflash.

Report the thread to a mod so that it can be closed (red triangle next to #1) and maybe go edit, advanced and edit the title so that it says "SOLVED" or "FIXED" so that everyone knows.

why not ? instead of playing with ps3, i prefer to play with my device... I can hold it on my hand in metro, bus, and train...
Or - serious response - simple curiosity, to understant how a new OS - purist guys, forgive me for my sin - works.
In particular, this question arose when i see the guy of service-center try this key combo before accepting my broken device... so i wonder if it was akind of check on rom version/manipulation...

Hi.
Shut your Phone down and then:
Press and hold HOME + VOLUME DOWN + POWER ON.
Wait until the Pohne boots in download mode.
Confirm the security question
Now in the upper left corner is:
"CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD: NO"
if there is NO then your counter is 0.
otherwise there is a number.

I don't know why ppl not taking trouble to use search
If this fellow have used same word 'how to check binary counter' in XDA search tab on top of any forum page, rather thn making thread, he wud get reply much faster thn even creating thread isn't?

just happen to install the lactose rom from the above mentioned link and the search key on the HTC incredible S is now mapped to lock the screen and put it in sleep....i want to map that key back to search app...!!!
i tried using the zip file mentioned in the thread but that is screwing up my home key.

I tried this rom too and had the same issue. Could not resolve this issue at all. Sorry

All done for wipe anything before flashing new ROM but may be it's come from the ROM itself. For fix permissions, may I know which file/apk need to do that? Looking forward for your info. :good:

It is not a bug , you have to choose one of them and than buttons below will light up.
You can choose to open it once or always with that app

Absolutely like that but the two button not in "open it once" or "always. That why I called it bug.
