I am planning on buying a AT&T Pure shortly and after owning a Fuze and a Tilt.. Well the fuze had the worse reception I ever seen. The Tilt had the best reception I ever seen.. So my question is does the Pure get better reception than the Fuze?

Hello,
I've been reading up on the kaiser for a little while now and think the specs are amazing.
I've been meaning to get a new phone for a while now, upgrade from my samsung e715. I'm thinking about getting the t-mobile wing as a replacement.
I was wondering if this is a feasible idea, I mean, with the possibility of at&t getting the kaiser, should I wait for that to unlock it?
Will T-mobile be getting a nicer/better version of the p4550 when/if there 3G network goes up?
Just seeking some input, and any would be much appreciated. Thank you
Yea... upgrade! WM will be a bit of a shock to you, it's quite different than what you're used to in terms of mobile telephony. The Kaiser would be a great piece of technology for anyone to own, however the price tag may not be everyone's cup of tea. Personally I plan to get an unlocked one for some 800 dollars. ATT may offer it for 500 with 2 year plan. As for unlocking, if you have international travel ahead of you in a near future then I believe there is a SIM unlock solution already. If not, I wouldn't worry about it until you need it unlocked.
oh well i was thinking of buying the at&t 8925 and unlocking and using on t-mobile. I don't know if it will be capable of syncing with T-mobile's 3G when they have it up and running, like what band they use and whatnot.

if i were you i wouldnt get the wing. its too slow, plus on a lot of them theres a memory problems. i used to have t-mobile but when i switched to cingular i found out they're much better and the signal is much better. also you get more minutes for the same price t-mobile offers.
so right now i have a t-mobile sda unlocked for cingular, just waiting for the kaiser. I dont know how long it will take before there is a Kaiser Sim unlock utility, so you can either get an unlocked htc kaiser or the AT&T Tilt (their calling the 8925 that now) and wait for a sim unlock utility.
think it would work on the t-mobile 3g network? on the 1700 band?
Ok so i am looking into getting the new tilt from att, problem is i like the HTC home interface that i have on my apache (Hemi WM6 upgrade). i am interested in putting the standard TyTn 2/kaiser rom on the tilt if i get it. however, after readign this in comments section on engadget mobile my mind might change...
... "also, paul, the sites owner has said that given the choice between the HTC rom and the AT&T rom, he would choose the AT&T rom but could not give specifics as at the time of posting, this was a huge leak from an informant. He said use the AT&T rom and tweak it how you want."
anyone have any ideas? preferences? how i can have the HTC home screen on the tilt? why somone would want WM6 without HTC home? why did ATT not put it in there device? pros and cons of HTC home etc..
Discussion time
(sorry i have not posted before i ghost a lot!)
Well, with the HTC Home Customizer, you should be able to put the HTC Home plugin on your 8925 with a minimum of effort, without losing all the other AT&T proggies that may actually be useful.
good solution, are there any other benefits to the TyTN 2 rom over the att one other them HTC home?
TomTom, but you'd still have to buy maps - which are 2/3 of the retail price.
tomtom, does the TyTn 2 rom come with TomTom? cant i use Google maps w/gps for free? if so how would one do that?
so i got the Tilt tonight, it is nice i am already happier with then the 6700.
Hi,
I am in India, using Tilt, I cannot use any of the AT&T feature comes with AT&T ROM. I want to upgrade to Kaiser ROM 6.1, so that i can save some memory space and good performance. Any comment on upgrading a Tilt with Kaiser TYTN II ROM 6.1.
Thanks in Advance,
Selva

If you want to stay with the AT&T ROM without the extra stuff you may want to consider this porcedure.

Don't know if this is the right spot, but, I am looking at an 8525 on Ebay and they state that it is a 3G phone... I thought the 8925 was the 3G model... Am I thinking correctly??
Here is the phone:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Unlocked-HTC-85...39:1|66:2|65:12|240:1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
The 8525 is also a 3G phone. The major differences between the two are the camera/gps/RAM and ROM space/ and dual core processor. I had both and the 8925 is definitely a far superior phone.
**Edit**
This should actually be in the Hermes forum.........

Hey everyone,
Just got AT&T and still have an iPhone new in the box. Thinking about selling it and getting a Diamond (there are a few for sale here locally). I've heard some concerns about reception with AT&T specifically EDGE. With the latest updates, is anyone having issues?
Thanks much in advance!

after the quandband radio update I haven't had any problems in Nevada or California. Also did a bit of tethering without issue.
i live in nor-calif, and have great reception. im using radio 1.0.25.05
Reception here (South Bay Area) is as good as my old Nokia
how about a UK diamond
Im off to Florida this month.. I have one of those i-smart sim unlockers and I am taking the diamond and intending to get a sim card localy..
Is it going to work ok?
(ill be taking it for tomtom in any case)
I have gotten pretty bad reception on my new HD7 over the past week or so since buying my HD7. Is this a known problem with the HD7?
It seems like each phone I get from HTC has worse reception than the last one. AT&T Tilt (Kaiser) had amazing reception, Touch Pro 2 had good reception, HD2 had just okay reception, HD7 has awful reception. Is this a radio problem? Is there a way to fix it?
On my HD2 I had to put it in 3G only just to keep my 3G speeds because it kept going back to Edge throughout the entire day. Setting the HD7 up for 3G only loses reception all the time and keeping it on Automatic of 2G only is not that much better. Someone please help if you can.
