I have a HTC Touch Diamond (North American Version) and was wondering if it's possible to put Windows Mobile 6.5 and Android (2 or 2.1) on the phone, and if it is, where do I find the files, where do I start, etc...
Thanks. I was going to post this on the site that does more of NA phones, but I can't remember what the sites called.
u should read the topics on the forum first.....heres the forum where you can in find it.

Good morning,
I am a newbie and I can't find what I am looking for. Sorry if this has been posted else where.
I own a TMOBILE - MDA VARIO III and having several issues. At present it runs Windows Mobile 6 profressional. I note from the microsoft site several of my issues have been resolved; plus it looks nice as well.
My question is;- How do I lay my hands on the update for Windows Mobile 6.1? Tmobile are useless and wont help. I can't obtain the update from Microsoft and HTC won't help as its a TMOBILE serial number.
Help.....
Hi,
You can find all the information about upgrading to 6.1 on the wiki
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Kaiser#ROMx20.Upgrading
Also, you might want to read the rules about starting a new thred before you ask a question like this again...

This has been gone over a hundred times, if in fact you had searched you, would have found it.
WM 6.1 comes from Micro$oft, Htc " writes " the roms and include 6.1 in their roms.
T-mobile requests the rom from HTC with T-Mobile specific features added. then T-mobile releases the rom to their customers.T-mobile has NOT released a WM 6.1 rom to their customers yet.
If you still want 6.1, there are many custom roms on this site that can be downloaded to your phone.
Read the wiki. Don't start redundant threads and welcome to XDA,
According to a source, T-Mobile will hopefully be releasing WinMo 6.1 on the Vario 3 in July/August to coinside with the Vario 4 release dates....
I have an older version of touch-it i got off the wings thread, after like 20 hours of reading, and have used it ever since. Now i am back to reading countless threads, and come to the realization i have a htc atlas*t-mobile wing, and wonder if i am in the right categories for software and things. I have been happy with the rom i have installed off this category except wonder if my phone has more potential because i might not of been reading the right category for my specific phone. I have never had video working on my phone is one thing i wonder if others have. I would love any help. I do have some questions if possible, i have not just jumped in and not try understanding myself.
if anyone is willing to point me in the right direction or have a conversation on the purple T-mobile Wing, *HTC Atlas or whatever that would be sweet!

is my specific phone. does that mean there is limitations to which .roms I am using? I am ready to upgrade the os on it... its HTC 4350 Atlas - Aka T-mobile Wing...
installed coreplayer to no avail as well... thanks for reading
I dont remember what the T-mobile wing is called, but its not the S730.
Since this is the wrong forum for the T-Mobile Wing we cant offer too much help there is a forum on XDA for your phone, but I am on my phone and digging that up right now would take a while
If you got the rom for your phone off of this forum it is possible aspects of it are running less than your phone could run them at but I would only see that being a driver issue instead of Rom issue.
Hi guys,
i have a branded htc touch diamond from the german isp o2. The actuall rom -they distribut - is 1.93.207.2.
I´m searching for a source to get the real htc rom, and all of its updates in future. Whenever i try to register my phone online at htc they said that i can´t register, cause the phone is distributed by a local isp.
I think there might be a posting in this forum which handle this topic, but i can´t find it.
I hope anyone can help me.
Thanks a lot,
Rilnaista
Uhm, you tried the Diamond ROM section already, did you?
My XDA runs perfectly with the official 1.93.407.1 / Radio 1.08.25.08.
But i cant decide whether green or blue is better.
Please see this thread:

Regarding to the 6.1, Black Manila is not my favorite. Could you please change it by red or blue Manila in your coming Premium version? Thanks for your hard work. Basic rom is my prefer, only black manila.
confusing
why the screenshot shows that your device has so much ram,not diamond?
Warning!!
I Flash Pegasus Basic M3Dv2.1 6.1 v1 on my touch diamond, Phone crash after flash. Stuck at "smart mobility" screen.
Not sure what you guys are testing on, but this is for the CDMA version of the HTC Diamond
This is a CDMA rom but why did not you tell us before. You should write it very clear in your Thread TITLE. Please be professional.
It CLEARLY says SPRINT. If you don't know what Sprint is, or what CDMA carriers are, then you shouldn't be flashing your ROM in the the first place. Please be a little more intelligent next time and know what you are doing.

Not everyone can know what sprint is... It's also possible, that's a name for a ROM serie... like Benko's ROM, EnergyROM, and so on. The most ROM here are GSM, so you should write clearly, that your's is different....
this rom is for cdma , don´t flash it! HE SAID : This has been tested on the HTC Diamond (Sprint).
DON´T FLASH IT , OR YOU WILL BRICK YOUR DIAMOND
Exactly, yes, it cannot be said any more clearer. Thank you.
new version ROM up basic titanium 6.5.1
new pics up
Sprint Name - Be polite
I think that you must to know that you are posting roms tha everyone in the world can to download for example I´m from Brazil anda I did not know what sprint is. You really must be more polite and professional.
TF3D Exit (X) Feature
Hello, I downloaded the pegasus basic 6.1, assuming 6.5 and 6.5.1 were references to Window Mobile versions. I like it! Since updating to this ROM I can't seem to find the setting to allow an app to be completely closed when clicking the X in upper right corner. Can you help? Thanks.

I belive a better place for your rom is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=515
You are putting a lot of GSM Diamond users in DANGER!
Ask the moderator to move your thread!
Good luck.
V2 up! Almost got all CDMA carriers.
wrong section. move this thread to CDMA Diamond.
V2.01 coming out soon
hi i am new to this site my name is Craig i have just got a XDA zest at what i thort was a really good price £40 boxed and mint
i have seen a few mods for the phone alredy this sites seems the best around for this kind of thing.
i like the look of windows mobile 6.1 Diamond
i am looking for help and advice on what progams i will need to mod this phone
so...what stuff should i download first ?
Hi ad welcome
£40 = a good price indeed.
Unfortunately for you, the Zest (although it's an XDA from O2) is actually made made Asus - unlike almost all other O2 PDA/phones that are made by HTC. As you may know we concentrate on HTC phones here. So unfortunately you won't find a forum for the zest.
However, as the phone runs Windows Mobile then most applications that get mentioned here will have a version for your phone. So you can hunt around the site using the search funtion) for applications and programmes) there are also many sites offering freeware for windows mobile and of course there are also hundreds of paid apps as well. It's easier for folk to suggest an application if you say what sort of things you want to do with the phone. Spmetimes it's easier to browse around the freeware Windows Mobile sites.
Regarding changing ROMs or changing the version of Windows Mobile Operating System (OS). Do not use applications or programmes for doing this that you see here. The OS for mobile phones is specific to each phone model and as the Zest is not included here then there is no suitable OS upgrade available here. If you attempt to change the OS using stuff found here you could "brick" your phone or to put it another way - render it useless, a paperweight, a "brick"!!! So far as I'm aware there is no site currently creating ROMs for Asus phones (I could be wrong) other than perhaps Asus or O2 who MAY issue ROM updates from time to time.
