hi there, look, you have to "unlock the device", then you will be able to flash a new rom.
but first read, and read again be4 doing anything.

I write to you in search of HELP. It has happened to me what it is noticed in all around. When wanting to update my Qtek 9090 of W2003 to WM5 I have lost all the data (toasted). The only thing that works is the Bootloader (the screen shows “USB v.2 07”). A hard reset do not work.
How I can install the image of the WM5 from 0? Somebody can help me? Is there a program? I have tried it with the BaUpgradeUt.exe but it does not work since the PDA looks for the image (and this one this empty). I do not know what to do.

did u read the wiki before trying the upgrade process? just download rom image and update again ur device, use maupgradeutnoid.exe instead of baupgrade..

You just place the nk.nbf file in the same directory as the exe file. whether you use the maupgradenoid.exe or the other one.
There is not another way to tell the executable where the nk.nbf file is.

to update ur device? if you execute the update utility (baupgrade.exe or maupgradenoid.exe) and if u see the ceimage version is blank, just exit the upgrade utility and execute it again...

i had the same problem.
The Upgrade utility didn't show any data of the Rominside the BA.
But just klicked on upgrade and it worked!

, if you continue the update process even if the ceimage version doesn't appear, sometimes the update process will stop to n% ... sometimes it work like in ur case, but to avoid that problem you'd better exit the upgrade utility and execute it again...

The version is not shown because there is no version, the BA is empty. Finally I sented it to the Qtek tecnical service in Spain. They have put the old WM 2003 SE again (I want to know how )
So, I think I will try it again. How much time does the upgrade last? I have a message on the PC since 1 hour ago:
"Checking the information on your device... Please wait...
Please, don't disconnect your device from the PC or the power supply until the update is completed"
In the BA the Bootloader is shown. Should I wait more or the program seems not to work?

T-Mobile MDA Compact III Issue
Sorry to tag this thread, couldnt figure out how to create a new one
I have a MDA Compact III issue when trying to upgrade to the ARTEMIS TOUCH 2.1 or 2.0 software
Unfortunatly, my pda was at 49% charge when i first tried, so stage one got to the end, then told me to charge my fone more and ended.
Thus i charge the fone to 75% and re-started. However, upon reconnecting the fone to commence the restart, the USB device was not recognised.
After removing the Active Sync and indeed the USB Driver from the PC and re-installing it, the conenction was re-established, however, it now often drops the connection. Plugging away, i tried the install Step 1 once more, and upon getting to 100% in the cmd part, and then progressing through the wizard, whereby the PDA displayed the progress bar reachinbg 100% (of the unlock stage) the PDA then reboots, and the connection is lost...and doesnt re-establish itself....and then the wizard reports Error [270] : Update Error The image file is corrupted. Please check your update Utility
Now, i have tried various sources for the software, and indeed tried both 2.0 and 2.1.....
Now i have a PDA that intermittantly drops its USB connection (and needs the USB removed and re-added on the PC) and is now slower than it was, plus never got to step 2 to get the software on iot.....
Can anyone help? Else i have a broken phone so to speak.....

Yours is obviously a G3 because G4 don't run OS 1.xx...

I have a G4 Wizard (Qtek A9100) and I'm trying to update its ROM after read a lot of topics on XDA-Developers (Wizard Windows Mobile 6 for newbies), GFórum and PlusGMS fórum.
IPL: 2.22.0001
SPL: 2.22.0001
GSM: 02.46.11
OS: 2.22.17.1
I already used two diferent chips from two diferent telephone companies which means SIM is unlocked (is that right ?)
After sometime reading I concluded that CIM was locked.
I downloaded HardSPL software and run yesterday.
Now, after HardSPL
IPL: 2.21.0001
SPL: 2.21.Olip
I believe that now CID is unlocked. (Is that right ?)
Then I used RUU from three different ROMs and the same error appears:
ERROR 300: Invalid Update Tool.
"This Update utility cannot be used for your PDA Phone.Please get newer Update Utility"
What does it means ?
What is wrong ?

Replace the RUU in the Rom with the Mun's RUU provided in the HardSPL thread and run that RUU,it'll work.

I flashed with Diamond Edition. I know there were a lot of ROMs to be used but this one has info safe for G4...
Does CID unlocked even after the flash I made or if I intent to flash another ROM I need to CID unlock again ? As I used HardSPL I understand it is unlocked.

Thanks! you are most welcome.Yes! it'll will remain semi-permanent Cid unlocked,untill you remove HardSPL,you do not have to apply HardSPL everytime you flash a new rom,just flash as many roms as you wish straight away

Now with the new WM 6.1 several questions come up...
1. When I start the Smartphone, a number appears on left upper corner (72410). What does it means ?
2. Wizard doesn't has internat GPS. I have a Deluo GPS antena and I use Destinator software.
Bluetooth is working once Deluo blue light is not flashing (if it is flashing means bluetooth is not connected), but I couldn't until now start using GPS because antena can't find much satellites. There is a set up on Destinator software to configure the GPS but on WM6.1 there is a GPS icon too. Do you know if I need to configure something on WM 6.1 ?
3. Some softwares I had installed on my Storage Card doesn't appears (ShortCut) but they are running when I run using file manager. How can I add these shortcuts on Programs area ?
4. The Wheater tab brings me temperatures in F. Is is possible to configure it to bring in C ?
I noted that battery goes down faster than when I was using WM 5.0 Is it normal ? Is it related to the version of the ROM ?
What differs one ROM from another ROM (considering WM 6.1) ?
I'm sorry for the questions but I'm trying to learn...

I use a Notebook (XP) @ work and another (Vista) @ home.
Everytime I sync with one of them, the other doesn't sync and vice-versa.
What is happening ?

I'm still facing synch problems.
Now one more problem come up: Fail to synch due to a register on calendar.
I deleted it on Wizard and on Notebook. Still happening.
Removed and instaled ActiveSync.
Still happening, but this register doesn't exist anymore !
What is happening ? What can I do to fix it and sync with Vista and XP on both Notebooks ?

hi, I tryed to downgrade my qtek 9090 to wm2003se but I had no success.. i would do it because i have some problems with bluetooth. in this forum I found this article which explains how to fix bluetooth problems ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=274425 ) but I'm not able to find all files nedeed... is here someone who can help me? it's the same for me downgrade the rom or fix bluetooth problem.
I have the original rom downloaded from www.pocketdevice.it but when I try to install it, the installation software sais that with wm5 it cannot install the rom (ROM.Qtek.9090.v.1.40.04 ITA).
please excuse me for my bad english! I hope that I've been quite clear to explain my problem..

I tryed to restore an old backup but wm5 doesn't accept wm2003se's backup.. wm5 doesn't accept backup at all.. uff..
first to exclude the most common mistakes:
- did you set the phone in bootloader before starting the flashing?
- did you use the BAupgrade_noID.exe, instead of the BAupgrade.exe?
- I only tryed to install the original ROM using a USB connection.. Where can I find the other files you mentioned?
- With "bootloader mode" you mean click on the starting button and camera button at the same time? When I upgraded my ROM from wm2003se to wm5 I only connected my Qtek and started WM5 from my computer not using the "bootloader mode"

I know that, when you try and flash the original rom or original updates, you usually don't have to do the things above, but, when i had to downgrade to wm2003se, it wouldn't have worked without.
1. i try and attach the _noid.exe that i downloaded with a helmi rom, as google wouldn't find a direct download source and i wouldn't want to search this forum forever, and as you don't search it yourself, i assume you don't want to spend more time looking for it as well. Anyway, the noid.exe is the same flashing prog as the original but it bypasses the check for country id and other crap.
2. the bootloader mode is also essential because, well... i don't know, why exactly, but i assume that not all roms and flashing software manage to enter the bootloader mode correctly, or too late, and you could get stupid errors like it was the wrong device for that flash.
so, i hope, the upload worked, it is everything you need to flash your device, either put the "nk.nbf" of your rom in there, or unpack the original rom and put the noID file in that folder and start it

why would you even downgrade? i upgraded mine to wm6 and i think i'm not going back to 2003se
first of all, because english is not my mother language and the os language is english. i found some problems using bluetooth and wifi connections and i could not download the right patch so i decided to downgrade to wm233se
SIM TOOL KIT is the only reason one would want to downgrade
Maybe you could try an 6.1 ROM.
RUU_BA_xplode_WWE_6.11.00 works perfectly and has an standard wm6
interface.

Ok. Several things: 1) If you have the default T-mobile ROM on your Wing, you already have Windows Mobile 6.1. 2) If you post the same question in multiple subforums, you are very likely to be ignored. 3) If you only wish to CID unlock the phone, then all you have to do is flash any other ROM found on this forum. Be sure to search in there for "How to Flash" before opening another thread asking for help. Thanks!

Alright. If you bought this phone directly from T-mobile US, then you do already have Windows Mobile 6.1. Also, to check for sure which version you have, you can go to Start->Settings->System->About. It will display what version of Windows Mobile you have.
I suggest you start with the wiki. Since you keep asking to 'unlock' your phone to be able to flash a new ROM i'm going to guess that you don't know what your doing. Make sure to read up on what is required to flash a new ROM. @elazullizard, unless something has changed, the Wing DOES NOT come stock with 6.1, it comes with 6. Now like I say, that may have changed, but I just bought a brand new in the box Wing manufactured in November 2008, and it booted into stock plain jane T-mobile 6. So yeah, this guy does indeed need to CID unlock and upgrade to 6.1 or 6.5.

Yes, first of all soft-reset your device using the little hole on the left hand side of it, as soon as you press the little button in the hole, press and hold down the camera button until the 3 color bootloader screen is displayed...confirm that your IPL/SPL is above 4 and reply back to me with the exact number and we can get you started from there.

There are plenty of posts that teach you how to flash custom ROMs. If you don't know where to start try searching for "how to hard SPL." You can flash custom ROMs without having your phone hard spl'ed by using USPL. If you decide not to use hard spl there is a great change that you will brick your phone and will no longer be able to use it again. After all you have to do is search for a flashcenter or use mine http://mywing.info/dl/Flascenter.rar . As for you GPS question, there are plenty of gps programs out there. You just need to buy either an external bluetooth gps receiver or a USB gps receiver. pair it with your phone and your done.
