Is there a way to limit the number of contacts synched to the carkit with this phone.
With my old Nokia E61 I used to categorise my contacts and of the 500+ contacts only those in the "carkit" category would sync up to the bluetooth car kit (a Parrot CK3100)
With this Windows mobile device, despite the categorisation appearing in the contact records there appears to be no way to sync only the ones I want, i.e. those in the carkit category.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Mike

Transfer your numbers to your SIM card and then transfer those numbers from SIM card to your TILT
put sim into nokia open up contacts and highlight a contact click on the options, it should say move to sim or something of that nature.

Outlook is the best medium for both.
Download Nokia PC Sync, and set it up to sync with Outlook
Then set ActiveSync to do the same
Bingo, contacts (with multiple numbers, addresses and emails etc) all on the TILT.
I use Outlook to manage my contacts, and unlike Nokia, Mobile Outlook maps ALL the fields that are in Outlook. (Nokia does not map Assistant, Home2 and many more, and also trims Outlllok notes to 256 characters!)

I have multiple numbers in each contact in N70 phone book, how I can sync these multiple numbers with Outlook? I try this but it got only one phone entry. Pls help!!!
My car bluetooth system doesn't automaticly import my contacts so I have to do it selecting them one by one and transfering them by bluetooth. Impossible to do (I have more than 300). Does anybody nows a program with you can select all the contacts at the same time and send them by bluetooth?
Thanks
im thinking about getting a ford with sync... is that what you are talking about/having this issue with???
HTC TyTN II can't automaticly send contacts to my car bluetooth hands free system but it lets you sending contacts from the pda to the car by bluetooth. The problem is that with the wm6 contact program you can't select all your contacts at the same time so that you can transfer all of them to the car, it only lets you select one contact and tranfer it to the hands free. I have about 300 cpontacts on my pda and It takes a wild to trnafer only one, that's why I need a program to transfer all my contacts at the same time.
First question really is - would you really want 300 contacts in your car in the first place? Makes navigating through your list a nightmare. Have a look at jetware, put a subset of your contacts into a car category using outlook and get jetware to send that.

Hi,
I searched the forum but could not find an answer:
How can one use MS Office 2007 Outlook's phone dialer
to initiate a call on the Kaiser.
Thank you very much.
Regards
V
I don't know how to do it directly from Outlook desktop. But if you download "My Mobile" from http://www.mymobiler.com, you will be able to use your activesync connected WinMobile phone directly using your computer mouse an keyboard.
I use it to initiate calls from my kaiser simply typing in outlook mobile contacts the name, or pasting a numer from my desktop computer.
Ciao
Thanks, but I am looking for a solution which works directly from within outlook on the PC desktop

I've found this Bluetooth dialer
http://blueshareware.com/bluetooth_pc_dialer.asp
- A phone call is never more then one click away independent of where the number is located
- Stand alone application as well as integrated in Outlook
- Support all Bluetooth PC stacks and most Bluetooth phones
- Direct out of the box support for the Microsoft and Widcomm/Broadcom Bluetooth stacks
Bluetooth PC Dialer is both a stand-alone application and a Bluetooth Outlook plug in. This means that you can access call directly from within Outlook with a single click!
With Bluetooth PC Dialer you have the following call options:
* Copy a number to clipboard (Ctrl-C) and press the call short key combination (Ctrl-Shift-D)
* Call any number from the Bluetooth PC Dialer application
* In Outlook call from a highlighted email - Bluetooth PC Dialer finds the Contact that matches the senders e-mail address
* In Outlook call from a highlighted Contact
* In Outlook call from an opened Contact
* In Outlook call any number that you chose
Bluetooth PC Dialer can be operated completely via fast keys without the need of the mice, and it have same call related functionality as the phone!
To use Bluetooth PC Dialer you need a Bluetooth enabled mobile phone and a Bluetooth PC solution. Bluetooth PC Dialer accesses your Bluetooth stack directly so there is no need for setting up Bluetooth COM ports (Widcomm and Microsoft stack). The program supports most Bluetooth enabled mobile phones and all PC solutions!
No Bluetooth on the PC no problem! During start-up Bluetooth PC Dialer detects this and you access the phone via a COM port.

Thanks for the hint!
I tried the software, but it does not recognize my Kaiser, even though Toshiba Bluetooth Stack does for Dial Up Networking and Active Sync.
Strange...
Thanks

Hi folks. I'm struggling with my droid 3 and it's contacts upload to my car (VM bluetooth system). The contacts that are uploaded don't match those that exists in my contacts - some are missing, and there are some extras in the list. The contacts view on my phone shows only those contacts that I've defined in my google account.
Is there a contact list somewhere on the phone that's different than the one that is sync'd with google? I've tried to "un-verizon" the phone as much as I could, but I wonder if there's another database that the bluetooth passes to the car - perhaps managed by the blur update agent?
Hello,
I like the way the contacts/people app links the contacts from different sources. For this purpose, I have several accounts syncing contacts (Exchange, Google, Facebook, LinkedIn & Twitter) but only Exchange filtered to show up in the addressbook. When I connect my HTC with my Audi A3, ALL contacts are shown in the car's phonebook. You can imagine that this becomes unreadable (duplicate contacts, useless contacts from Twitter/Google, ...)
How can I force my HTC only to send/show the filtered phonebook on my car's bluetooth phone directory?
Thank you in advance.
Regards,
Quentin
