Hi All,
I had a Google Apps for domain account and I had setup all my other emails to forward to this account. When the email arrive in my account, it'll arhive (no longer in inbox) and move to specify label according to filter.
My question here is, does the new email from above scenario push to my N1? I found that whatever mails I received which was not filter/archive (means stay in Inbox) will push the notification to my N1.
If it really the case, any workaround on this?
Thanks.

Hi,
I have never had push mail facilities before. Can anyone confirm whether it is possible to get notification from a yahoo email account? I do not have an email plus account.
I have tried to configure my T-mobile MDA Vario III to do this but it does not recognise either my user name or password when prompted. Am I just trying the impossible, I ask as I read somewhere that it can not configure hotmail accounts and Yahoo is obviously a web email account.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
This should answer all your questions.
I don't know if you can setup true 'push' email from Yahoo, but what you can do is go to the main email screen, tap 'New Email Account', type in your Yahoo email address, and just follow the prompts. You can set it up to automatically pick up your email every 5 minutes, 10 minutes, whatever you want. Hope that helps.

Check the link in my post above yours. That properly answers his question.
As TB says, Yahoo GO is the push solution - but it doesnt interact properly with the devices messaging client - so if you dont like the yahoo go app (I hate it), then do what RW said (but make sure you have the account enabled for pop (which you set up easily in the yahoo webmail client).
If you can forward your incoming yahoo mail to another account, you could use a Exchange Push Mail solution like the one I offer to push your yahoo mail to your device.
Yahoo Mail supports IMAP. Not true Push IMAP, but it is pretty close. You can simply set it up to sync your inbox often, if you can afford the data charges.
Is there a real time, 2 way sync, push solution for Gmail? Or even better Google Apps?
I've seen Emoze but it's not real time and doesn't do 2 way syncing.
Any other solutions for pushing Gmail to my Tilt?
No there is not. Reason you can't have real time is the delay involved for Gmail to forward your email to a service that can Push it to your device.
So the closest you can get is something like setting your Gmail to forward all your email as it arrives to an Exchange service that supports Push like mail2web.com (or any other of your choice) and the then have your device sync to mail2web.com over the air.
And as you've noticed its only one way. There is no 2 way syncing.
I have set up IMAP settings for GMAIL, two way sync possible and you get almost instant notification with new emails.
Check in google mail under help for IMAP, or use these settings. Works great with Flexmail.
Here is a post from TangerineTractor on the XDA forum how to set up:
Good news for Googlemail/gmail users... IMAP supoport now implemented, so you can schedule checks of your mail account and manage
mails whilst keeping synced up with the gmail servers...
serversettings: imap.gmail.com:993
smtp.gmail.com:587 use SSL
user name is [email protected] or [email protected] etc...
If you set up labels in gmail, these appear as folders in your artemis mailbox, so moving a mail to a folder on your atremis has the effect
of adding a label to it and moving it to 'All Mail' in gmail.
In the advanced mail options, make sure you check to delete mail off server when deleting, otherwise all deleted mail stays in the gmail
all mail folder.

Yup, Gmail works great with Flexmail 2007, using IMAP IDLE for instant notification. (push)
PsyOpWarlord, please don't state your knowledge so absolute. Something like "Not as far as i know" makes things much clearer, now people are just confused.
Just create a hotmail account and use windows live. It's push email although I haven't figured out how to push my calendar to my Pocket Informant Calendar or outlook calendar on my device. If anyone could help. Thanks
Hi guys. I got a bit of an unusual problem.
I got an email account which is programmed to automatically forward all emails that come in to my gmail account. My gmail account is synchronised with my phone using active sync.
Now for some reason, my xperia (outlook) cannot show the content of the emails that I get forwarded to my gmail account. Its really weird. So to clarify, whenever I receive an email on this other account of mine, it is automatically forwarded to my gmail account which comes up on my phone. On my xperia then, I can see that I received a message, I can see the subject of the message, however I cannot see the actual text. If the message comes with an attachment, I can use and open the attachment but again, I cannot read the actual message.
I have tried a couple of things before I decided to post here. The first thing I tried is to change my active sync settings from receiving messages in "plain text" to "html" - didnt help. I have also made sure to tell active sync to always download the "whole message" and not just parts of it - didnt help.
Then I reconfigured the server so I that it automatically forwards the emails to my yahoo account (instead of my gmail account) - didnt help, on yahoo I had the same problem.
Interestingly, when I access gmail on my computer and forward one of these emails that the xperia cannot read from my gmail to my yahoo account and then access the email from my xperia on the yahoo account - it works.
Has anybody any ideas what the reason could be? To clarify right away, I cannot access my other email account directly from the xperia. It needs to be done via this "forward messages automatically" rule.
I would be appreciate any help.
Amano
no ideas anyone? I really need to get this sorted somehow. Sorry for unnecessary post but I cant let this thread disappear without an answer.
Hi guys,
I'm having a rather strange issue since I got my Black, as I've set up two different GMail accounts on my device, my personal account (to which the phone is also registered to), as well as another "work" gmail account to which all my work emails are being forwarded to.
The actual problem is each time I want to send an email via gmail (for example, I'm checking out a photo, hit share, select gmail), it automatically selects the second account added, and I've found no way to select the default "send from" account. Any clue how can I tell the phone which email address I want to send emails from by default using the gMail app?
thanks!
Hi
Is anyone with a One able to see if mail that gets sorted directly into a sub folder (server side) generates a notification?
On stock and most other clients you can set a sub folder to sync but it won't notify.
I believe the mail client on the One X generated a notification when mail was delivered directly to a sub folder. This is with an exchange mail account with the Sense mail app.
Cheers

I have tried sky via exchange but it just wont work
think there is a problem with the htc one and exchange which is annoying
Wow. That's a pretty big deal if that's the case! Exchange is a core feature and simply must work out of the box. The behaviour I'm alluding to is just the behaviour I think it should have.
