I have made a rom using the AOSP source and everything is alright except one small detail. When I flash the google default epe54b rom, it will automatically detect my carrier mms and apn settings for internet. However, this little feature is not there with the AOSP rom. Where is this detail contained in? How can I get this feature into the AOSP rom?
Thanks.

I'm looking for a rom to flash on my T Mobile US version One. I recently installed the Trickdroid rom and while it was fantastic, I had to restore to stock because the rom lacked one kinda major item.... LTE support. Sure, I know what your gonna say... "but the rom doesn't change the radio", I know that. For some reason (can anybody tell me why?) the device will not get LTE service.
Yes I tried the *#*#4636#*#* code and tried adjusting different radio settings, to no avail...
I'm looking for a Sense-less rom, thats lightweight and reliable. It doesn't have to be bleeding edge with features as I prefer reliability over the latest features. I only have 1 phone now and the ONE is my daily driver, so it must work.
Does any rom include the 3-dot menu button mod. I HATE that "feature".
Edit: Sorry, 1 more question. Whats with the Sprint version? What is so different with that then every other version? I see this everywhere: "New super Rom, version XXX for Intl & every US carrier Except Sprint" --- New super Rom, version XXX for Sprint.

Sinless...one of the best if not the best imo.

As for sprint, I can only assume because they are CDMA (along with verizon anyway) where as the rest of the ONE's are GSM. Therefore, bigger target audience. That's my guess anyway....
Enjoy

check that your APN is pointed to fast.t-mobile.com, not epc.t-mobile.com

try one with a 9/19 build. something wrong with new builds. had the same problem and this worked for me.
I am looking for a stock based ROM, which there doesnt seem to be many of, that has the ability to change around the nav buttons. I really want to swap that recents and back button and I know we have been able to do it on AOSP based ROMs for a while now. However, AOSP based ROMs get significantly worse battery life from idle drain than the stock based ROMs on my phone at least so I would really like to find one with a stock base. Does such a ROM exist and I am just missing it?

well, if you wamt a real rom with the additions, then you have aosp as an option. real developers dont put up a stock rom because no source is provided. no source equals no building roms. some people learning how might use stock, but they dont build it, they just add add-ons to it. something like what you are looking for requires framework changes, so the rom has to be built from scratch. amyways, have you looked if xposed provides an option for you?

yea, xposed now works on lollipop. and yea, stock is only build by google. but its easy enough to add some things to it. and aosp is where all the code is provided for us to build our own roms. google dors have all the source, tbey just dump it into aosp for us.
Hi I'm fairly new but I install cm13 and all of that stuff but the camera doesn't convice me as stock rom.
I would like to know if there is a stock based rom(Lollipop not MM) with minimal bloatware and a kernel as complement for better performance.
Thanks in advance

Yeah, there are roms based on stock, but nowadays they're not updated anymore and they have a lot of bugs. I was like you when I was getting into custom roms - I didn't like any rom lacking something from stock. As advice, don't install any MM rom yet. They're all bugged with a touch delay issue and are not as stable as stock MM is.
My setup is the following:
Minimal OS: Best rom so far for this device, smooth, and it's unbloated as hell that you even have to install your own SMS and calendar app (I installed a kitkat based ones from the play store). Other fast roms that you could try are OrionLP (LL, it's aosp based, fast too) and Exodus (as last resort, every CM-based rom is usually bloated and slower than aosp-based ones).
SlimGapps (smallest package): Just because OpenGapps doesn't install an essential component by default.
Halogen Kernel R14: Best custom kernel for this phone. Using Intelliactive governor and my phone feels even faster than a Xperia M4. Obviously you gotta tweak it to get the most from our proc.
As for the camera stuff, you can try flashing Moto's camera and gallery + a zip that's posted somewhere that enables SloMo recording. It works in any rom, but a tweaked Minimal OS setup in this device will surely make you not want to try another cm/MM rom never again.

Well, thank you very much for the information. I will definitely try minimal os and halogen. But the camera I'm still a little confused because i try in cm 12.1 a zip that install the gallery and camera but it wasn't the new ones(material design) and oddly camera doesn't allow me to save on sd card. If you can help me with the link of the post or thread for the moto camera that you recommend. I will appreciate a lot.

I don't have a clue as I use it on Minimal OS, so it maybe CM's fault.
There I attach 2 files that enable SloMo on any custom rom. One is from my rom, which I edited by adding some cm's commits and the later (mediaprofiles2) one is from a zip. You need to put and give them proper permissions on /system/etc. Remember to rename it to media_profiles.xml

Wow thanks a lot. I will try that and hear nice things of minimal os and I'm downloading it. :good:
Wanting to goo ahead and update. But why pretty much having to lose all my data anyway to restore root street update I am wondering something else. As it is the device has a lot of bloatware and I am entertaining just installing a stock Android ROM. My question is though,: I know on a custom ROM you can't use the stock LG camera due to it lacking the correct certificates or something similar. However will a stock Android ROM have those and allow me to just aside load the camera as a system app?
If not something else I am curious about: had anyone had success changing camera shortcut volume key on the G4 to another app and have it unlock the screen properly like the stock camera? Closest I have seen is the G4tweaksbox but after launching you still have to unlock the phone which defeats the purpose all together.

you mean the framework. its not present in CM or AOSP roms. well it is its just missing stock Lg binaries i think... and wuality isnt the same..
for data you could try titanium if you root it..
custom roms thers 2 types.. the ones based on stock firmware they just add a few thing maybe debloated and mods.. its the same as stock rom but with goodies.. then we have cm13 MM and AOSP roms that do not have the stock framework. like for example MM 20i stock firmware it eill tell you 20i.. if aosp it will be mentioned in thread of rom...

stock debloated means some LG apps removed or from carrier.. maybe no you tube,no chrome ect.
not sure if it will work.. if camera says aosp or CM then it must be used . if it says stock based then stock firmware or any custom rom based on stock firmare..
not sure about camera if you have link i can take a look at it..
see pictures it tells you what kind of rom is it. some doesnt have it but it should say in title..
I'm not sure if you still need a bit of help with this, but if you're looking for a stock Android ROM, download an AOSP or CM ROM, install it, then if you're simply worried about camera quality, download this and install with TWRP... http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/themes-apps/app-snap-camera-lg-g4-t3286259 ... This will replace CM's camera and replace it with one that should be optimised for the G4. I used it and personally did not see any difference between this and the stock camera. I personally am not currently using CM on my G4 because I was having troubles with it managing my mobile data, but that may be fixed by now or it may have been on my end when it happened. Hope this helped!
