Good Morning All,
I am in need of help/support.
I have a AT&T Tilt, I have run through several ROMs (all WinMo 6.5). When I go to setup an activesync relationship to Exchange for my work mail, it connects. It then applies our PIN policy for locking your screen. But then Activesync tries to get my mail, contacts, and calendar items....but it fails. I have tried multiple things on my company's IT side. They say that there is no problem.
To further investigate, I flashed back to the stock WinMo 6.1 ROM from the HTC website. Activesync works like a charm.
So my question is, if I want to sync with my work email, am I doomed to a WinMo 6.1 ROM?
Does Exchange 2010 recognize that an AT&T Tilt is not supposed to have WinMo 6.5, or is it maybe a certificate issue?
Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
Moved as not ROM Development.
I found a fix. Hopefully this helps other people out too.

This may be a simple one, but Im stumped...
My Tilt connects to my exchange 2007 server. On other phones running WM6, ActiveSync stays online 24/7. On my Tilt, it goes dormant after a while. I added an exclusive in task manager...
Basically when I grab it after its been idle for a few hours and look, ActiveSync says it was last synchronized at whatever time, I manually sync it, and it pulls down everything and stays online for a while, but eventually it goes dormant again...
Im sure that it's a simple fix, but I can't for the life of me, figure it out....
I have the same problem with mt Tilt. If I use the ATT ROM it works fine but if I move to one of the HTC ROMS I get that problem with Activesync disconnecting from the Exchange server.
I had the same issue on my 8500 with some of the cooked ROMs. On that device the ATT ROM and vp3G's ROMS worked fine (except for one of his; the hybrid I think).
For now I'm just sticking to the ATT ROM and pray vp3G gets a Tilt so he can start making ROMs for our device.
If you don't want all the ATT bloat installed then hard reset and then just hit the soft reset button when it pops up saying it going to customize the device in 3 seconds.
Kaiser connection issues
There are some issues going on with the way the Kaiser pulls emails after it goes to sleep.

One of the problems that I've found on this issue is the ActiveSync notifications becoming corrupted. I'm not sure how to go about fixing this, but I downloaded a program called MemMaid that was able to rebuild the ActiveSync notification queue. After I rebuilt the notification queue for ActiveSync my Windows Vista Home Premium and XP Pro systems saw my Tilt and were able to sync again.
Hi all
I installed the blackberry connect client 4.0.0.97 on my HTC Kaiser.
Everytime i do a soft-reset of my device all emails in the blackberry account are duplicated ...so i have all email 6 times and i am afraid of the next soft reset.
I disabled the blackberry connection and did a softreset...even then the emails were duplicated--so the problem comes from the device ...not from the online synchronization

Have you tried downloading the .100 version from shogunmark's thread? The .97 version seemed to have some issues.
Also, the software is still running in the background, even if you have it suspended. So it could still be the software causing it.
.100 hangs up the phone when I hit "OK" button inside email if I'm on a call. I'm going backwards first to .97 today or tomorrow I will let you know if I have problems. If I do I'm going to probably go to .84
Are you syncing mail with Activesync too???
That version works fine for me.
No I am not using active sync as all emails, contact, task, calendar, notes...
where can i download the vesion .100 ? ?
I have a newly acquired ATT Tilt phone. I bought it from a person that I work with and he had been using it to get his email pushed from our OWA Exchange Server at work and it worked flawlessly for over 4 months using Blackberry Connect.
Ever since I got the phone, it has pushed my POP mail perfectly, but has only worked for one day or more at a time with our OWA. Our IT dept wont support us getting our mail this way, so I cant ask them for help.
After 25 hrs on the phone with Blackberry and ATT Technical support, it STILL does not work. I have tried to hard reset, use WM 6.0 with BB Connect 4.0.0.97 and WM 6.1 with BB Connect 4.0.0.100. I have tried the factory ROM, and the latest available on HTC's site.
The bottom line is that the mail from our OWA will not faithfully push to my Tilt for me like it did for my friend at work. Because it works perfectly for a day or so, it makes me think that it is NOT a server connectivity problem. Blackberry has said the same thing to me....
After 2 weeks of frustration, I am at a loss....
Any suggestions from all of you experts out there?

Hi members,
I'm really stuck with a strange problem. I can't sync remotely with my mail server using ActiveSync.
I mean, the device syncs perfectly with my home PC, but when I program it to sync with my ISP's Exchange server it doesn't work.
The process stops and the device gives a "Repllog.exe error".
This problem started since I upgraded my HTC TyTn II to WM 6.1.
Any thoughts?
I'd be very much obliged for any thoughts that you might have on this subject...

Ricardo

I think there is a bug in repllog.exe on WM 6.1 - it crashes overnight, every night, on my Touch Diamond2.
Cheers, Rob.
Same here, every night, on a Touch Diamond (2.03 ROM.)
Doesn't seem to do any damage or freeze the phone, just plain annoying.

It is improved in WM6.5 but still not 100% perfect. Also there's a bug in the schedule feature. I've just been to Egypt on holiday and most definately changed my ActiveSync to "Manual" for both peak time and off-peak as I didn't a) want to run up £7.50/MB roaming or b) be bother by work emails.
But my work emails sychronised somehow when I landed back in the UK. I'm hoping this was when it returned to UK 3G (please!!) but it shouldn't have done it as it's still set to manual and I definately didn't click sync. Phone was off in the overhead lockers.
Cheers, Rob.
guys - i dont know how many of you are using exchange 2007 with your wm6.1 roms. my office IT requirement is WM6.1 on its phones to support email download via exchange server. on wm6.0 my phone just doesnt connect to the server. i upgraded the rom to 6.1 normal and it connects and asks me to setup my password for encryption. As soon as i do that activesync cannot get any more data from the server.
i have tried both lite and normal roms but am facing the same problem? Are there any other cooked roms out there i could try or alternately any solution from the chefs for these roms which could provide a solution?
cooked rom can't sync with exchange 2007 due to missing some components in ... use official rom if you can
yeah thats the point. i wanted to see if one of the chefs could cook that stuff in. considering its not a problem in other phones. ive been using a tytn ii and using those roms with exchange 07 without any issues. hermes porting should be simple no?
oh and no i cant use an original rom because IT doesnt support wm6.0
