Rom specifics - XPERIA X1 ROM Development

I have been looking for a rom that is exactly as normal, but without help files, inhand handango crap, no powerpoint, no onenote, no windows update, and without some of those useless programs. I have been looking for a week!!
I have a mexican X1a, which is exactly the same as the american AT&T one.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

try this one. pretty awsome, minimal and fast rom.

try which one? You didnt post the link? thanks

What I really want, is EXACTLY the same as stock, but without some pre-installed crap. As I CANT stand ANY bugs or crashes. I have software version R3AA014 GENERIC_LAM
VERSION 1.05.947.14 whatever the heck that means. With date 5/12/09

i recently purchased a tilt last friday, and it will be here on monday. what are some things i can do to make it better? Such as software, and as ive been reading if you really want to do anything such as software you need the HTC ROM because the AT&T ROM doesnt allow the programs to run correctly? any info appreciated.
Go to the wiki and read, read, read.

Not trying to shortcut my answer, but there is really a great deal to relate. Better to get it straight from the horse's mouth.

What programs do not run correctly with the AT&T ROM? I have the latest AT&T ROM and my programs seem to work fine! I'm also not sure I understand you correctly; you suggest flashing the HTC TyTN 11 ROM over the Tilt ROM to improve program functionality and performance? Please explain the advantage or are you asking if there is and advantage? Wouldn't some of the cooked ROMs be a better option?

For a noob, is this a good ROM choice?

Okay, i have been reading through and through on xda, and i want to flash my tilt. This will be the first time. I want a fast ROM, and one that is not bare bones, but has some stuff. I have been looking at Sleuth v3.0. And actually, being a noob, I really don't know exactly what I want. I just want a fast ROM that i can add free GPS (like Google Earth), use email express, office, and have a User Interface similar to the iphone. bigger buttons, no bloatware. I have an Itouch, and have had it for quite sometime, but there is only so much you can do with it in terms of software.
I have looked, and maybe i passed over it, but instead of recommending Sleuth v3.0, is there some nice post I can go to that explains all the roms, or maybe even recommended roms to use, with screenshots and such.
thanks a bunch!
Check this out. http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Kaiser_Cooked_ROMs
Most of these ROMS are built for speed, so there is not too much crap loaded in them. If you look at each individual ROM the chef has listed all of the included apps. If you want to add something just do it after the flash, you can still customize.
By the way, This link was in the Wiki, which I hope you read through before you flash your device.
Q-mobile 1.2
beware, once you try it, its really hard to stick with another rom!
Your search has ended!
You definitely have to try ROMeOS v4.1. I have tried almost every ROM released on this site for the past 6 months and I have to say this is by far the best. It will run everything, it is extremely stable, and comes pre-installed with the htcclassaction video drivers! It included the best file management/ftp/registry program available, and the best thing of them all its VERY fast!
the best advice is to try them all and pick which one you like the most. for me, I constantly roll back to Laurentius v9 and Hyperdragon III
Im am a noob at flashing as well and have been seriously considering Romeos.
Does it come with a radio?

Throttlelauncher 0.9.5c running smoothly??

I can't seem to get the latest Throttlelauncher running smoothly. Is it because of our crappy drivers? Or because it is using TF3D? If anyone has it running ok, please let me know. I don't want to give up on this program yet...

Your question should be posted in the orginal 0.95 TL tread,
but for your information, i started with a clean rom, ( no manilla or whatsoever )
and tried 0.95, it looks nice, but its not that smoothly as manilla, if you try 0.94 you will see that one is much more smoother than 0.95
Thanks for the info. I might test it out later, I don't feel like flashing a new ROM just yet. I was originally going to post there, but since there were so many different phone users, I decided to ask here.
Mods, if you feel this should be moved, go right ahead (not that you need my permission lol)
I have Throttle Launcher installed with I believe the GSmart theme. It runs well for me. I would have to say that it is not as smooth as Manilla, but it is much more customizable as you might have already read. My only complaint is that it is very time consuming to edit XML files to customize it. A good configuration tool would really help this app.
Well...looks like I will wait for this app then. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on it though!

[REQUEST]Clean Leaked T-Mobile 6.5 ROM

I might be being naive, or too demanding, or even the only person that might be having a wish like this, but still, it's something I would really appreciate.
As most of you are aware, the T-Mobile 6.5 ROM is leaked, and after playing with it for a while, my personal opinion is it seems much smoother then the WWE ROM.
But despite the fact I have a T-Mobile device, I'm living in Europe, and would be much happy with a rom without the bloatware(well, ok, maybe they are useful for T-Mobile customers, but total bloat for me). And also the lack of the connection setup wizard, is much of a problem to manually enter the settings.
So, as a result, I'm asking if the wonderful chefs we have, would be bothered with cleaning up the T-Mobile ROM, adding the Connection Manager, and end up with a ROM that will be pretty much a WWE stock ROM with no customizations.
Thank you =)
I have begun cooking something similar to what you request, but reached the conclusion that it would be best to have a clean version of HTC's rom for europe and use only the radio from this rom, specially if you are not a t-mobile subscriber
Well, that's what I am doing at the moment. But considering the fact that, this new ROM claims to fix some known bugs.(like the ghost messages on manila) So what I thought is it might be better having a ROM that has the new leak as core, but not much diffrent then the Europe ROM. Thank you =)
see if this is what you requested:

Pretty simple. Dump the shipped ROM with EVKitchen, and take out what you dont need...and then re-cook it...

I'm happy to load it up and give it a go. Downloading now from here http://www.htc.com/au/SupportViewNews.aspx?dl_id=901&news_id=583.
I see it has a new radio version too - 4.49.25.77
Getting **** download speed from HTC server though - 10.2 kb/sec. Says the download will take 4 hrs! And I thought rapidshare was bad
Update: 32 minutes to go and HTC have brought out 3 new phone models since the download commenced )
Try the US server it is much quicker. I always find US downolads much quicker than Asian or Euopean - for anything.
I have the new "Unofficial" HTC SenseUI ROM which I like, so I don't want to try the Telstra one unless it is good. It suggests there is no Telstra customisation (a good thing).
I am not sure if the current ROM I am using is NextG compatible so that is the main reason for my interest in the Telstra one.

I think as long as the device is 850 mhz compatible then the ROM doesn't matter as far as NextG is concerned. The new radio version might be interesting though if it's especially written for the 850 mhz model. Anyway, I'll let you know what it's got shortly. I read somewhere that it's got a 'My Phone' tab in Sense that accesses stuff like Foxtel etc.
OK, so here's the lowdown....
Windows Version: 21881.5.0.84
Sense 2.1 19221417.0
Tabs: Home, People, Messages, Email, Downloads, Telstra Applications, TV, News and Sport, Internet and Search, Camera, Music, Calendar, Settings, Favourites, Weather, Stocks.
Yukky Telstra light blue wallpaper on Sense tabs (you can change it of course).
Hard to talk about reliability, but ROM appears to be very snappy, although older type 6.5 with 'start' at the top left.
Not sure why they would release a 'new' ROM with Sense 2.1 when the official HTC update contains Sense 2.5.
If you're a Telstra customer looking to access all of the Telstra Apps/Services then the ROM might be worth a look. If you're interested in cutting edge stuff, then give it a miss.
As mentioned earlier it does contain a radio that isn't in our sticky - 4.49.25.77 - so that might be worth ripping out.
Thx... think I will stick with what I have.
Can someone post a mirror or even a serial number for it.
radio please!
I assume this radio would provide better reception in Australia, I am a Three customer, if I download this ROM, I wouldn't be able to use all the telstra apps WOULD I??? like watch TV, FOX and all the fancy apps that telstra has pre-installed in the mobile device.... IF NOT! then can someone please get the radio out and post it in the radio section, would be appreciated by those of us who live "down under"... thnx in return!!

can never have too many download options.....
I've posted the link into the radio sticky as well in case someone there wants to rip the radio from it.
Thanks for the mirrors
thank you very much for this ROM. Very much appreciated.
I bought the HTC Tilt2 (AT&T) version of internet, and I am on the Telstra Next G network. It makes my life easier.
(Once my iPhone contract ends, I will switch it to Telstra Next G.)

I have recently swicthed from Optus to Telstra (have a T7381) & thought would do the right thing and re-install telstra rom ... if you use GPS it takes ages(or not at all to get a lock) HTC have been working on fix for last month ... whereis navigator crashes regulary and the rom is full of 'non' removable telstra links... speed is fine (on par with HTC generic 6.5) ... just installed the NRG 21903 Cookie rom (first cooked rom on my TP2) and would highly recommend ...if you like a full featured rom
