Hiya!
I made a post about this a couple of months ago in the HTC Hero forum, but I hope Magic users will have use for it as well. This is a compilation of the best freeware apps for Android, in various categories. There are about 100 applications at the moment, and the guide keeps growing.
The Ever-Growing List of Awesome Android Apps
If you know of any great apps that's not listed in the list, please share
Cheers

There should be an application in the market which would sync with the themes list and the roms list from the respective sections in the forum.
There, you would be able to sift through all of the roms and themes on your device, no problems!
When I saw the CyanogenMod Updater in the Market, the app came to me.
Im not too sure how we would be able to see all of the roms at the moment, but sites like AndroidSpin seems to have a good concept.
Any ideas, or developers?
I cannot develop, but I am learning.

Jordan! good to see you on here bro. as awesome as this would be, it would take some work. compiling all the roms into a database, and all the themes sounds easier said than done, but thats a alot of data. unless someone wants to host all this, aside from XDA, i dont see this happening. it does sound like a good idea though.
Start by saying Android on XDA because XDA is not Android, its HTC aka Winmo. So any app saying "XDA" will be including WinMo then there is no point to have an XDA app
maybe you guys can do something with the author of androidspin.com
he already has some kind of database.. maybe you guys can help eachother out
Sups, Palos! That's tight to see you here
AndroidSpin is a good place to start, for he has all of the roms cataloged already, it would be easier to start there and somehow incorporate it into an app.
Hello,
My name is Isaac and I am here to find out what developers and publishers find useful as far as reviews of their mobile applications. I have just finished developing a website that totally caters smartphone applications. It is non-platform specific so if you develop for Iphone, Droid, blackberry, etc.. then your apps could be listed at the site.
What I am looking to get out of this is to find out what information developers want to get from end users the most. This way I can configure the review site so it can get the most useful information to developers. Thus giving developers the info they need to concentrate on what is more important to their target audience.
So I hope some of this interest and lets get talking, what are important questions you like to see answered in reviews
come on guys, help me out, what are things that you found most important when getting reviews of your applications?
If someone reviewed my mobile app, I'd like to know about a couple of things like:
Ease of use,
Functionality,
If usage of app can provide a longterm solution,
and/or if the user was satisfied with the app all around.

Hi,
First of all before developing any application, I check the user requirement. As you know people want different type of applications. So I collect the user opinion from different places. Then I develop an application according to user requirement. After completing the application, I post my application reviews on different mobile based forums and get some feedback.

Thanks, all good things to have rated to know how well your app is perceived by end users.

So basically if you have an idea for an app you then question potential users for what they would like to see and then build something from that?
Any particular questions you post on the forums that you feel gives you best info?
I always look for a decent star rating from those before me and also read through the developer description. If it seems useful I get it and worse case you just end up deleting it later. The main thing that makes an app flourish in the market is it's star rating and number of downloads.
But honestly, there are already several similar sites. I guess it will be really hard for you to build a big user base for your website. Other players are already in the market for a few years. And they are all free...
Maybe it is a better approach that the devs do not have to upload the app to you page but that you just allow the users to "request features" and you can allow them to vote for features. This could provide a feedback to the developer of the most important missing/demanded features. Maybe there is a chance to contact the developers via one of the google apis for marketplace once you have significant feedback from your users for a specific application...

Yes there are many similar sites, mostly concentrating on a particular platform though. Which to me makes no sense since a lot of developers want to make apps for different platforms . But you make a good point allow users to vote on proposed features that the developer is thinking of working on so they know what users really want and would likely buy for.
OK guys and girls, I'm listing a few links to some threads that I've come across on XDA and some other sites that will give you resources to help you emulate the look of WP7/WP8 (not a lot has changed in the aesthetic side of the two OS's). Its been a pain in the arse trying to find everything to make my phone look like WP. This is an attempt to put all finds in one easily accessible spot.
Credits of course go to the original authors/ OP of the respected threads.
Most of you may know about some of these threads, but for those of you who are new to these launchers this should help you out. I didn't see the need at first to create a new thread, but decided to do so anyway. If you find this helpful, add to it, hit the thanks button, and pay it forward.
Typing all of this from my phone at work, so bare with me for any grammatical errors.
Launchers
I'm only listing the two that I favor and think are the best suited. This is clearly my opinion. There are several out there, but these are my favorites.
Launcher 8-

Launcher 7- ( can't get the Play store link because of my play store default on my phone. Just type in launcher 7 and it'll pop up in the play store)

Hubs Tutorial
I created this some time ago on rootz wiki. Most of you know how to do this. Again this is for noobs to the launcher.

Note: do not pay attention to the wallpaper instructions. Another thread link will show you how to do this.
Weather hub-
Came across this the other day and the OP did a beautiful job with this idea. I'm running it now and its gorgeous.

Apps-
These have been discontinued by the team and are now offered for free. You may have some compatibility issues based based on the ROM/Version of android you are running. Other apps such as calculator, notifications, music player can be found in the Play Store with free and paid versions.

For the Xbox hub simply download the Xbox smart glass app from the market.
One Note is also available.
If you want a better dialer, look for the many theme engine themes or use WP7Contact. There is an option in that app that will have it start up on the dialer alone.
Different Hub wallpaper tut-
After much searching and finally finding someone to help, this can be accomplished using Tasker. A special thanks to GermainZ for helping me with this and brandall for starting that thread.

If anyone else would like to contribute by helping others, pasting links to old and new finds please do so. I will continue to add to this and organize it better as much as my busy schedule allows.
Thank you

One more.
Hi guys. I have created a spreadsheet to classify the new lollipop roms, and i want to share it with you.
There are several threads (thanks) for rom indexes, but this is a real-time collaborative one. I know, it can be a mess if people start deleting other people work.
Anyhow i will let the spreadsheet online for a few days. If nobody uses it or people breaks it, i will delete it.
Feel free to update it, add new roms, or post ideas. I don't guarantee any kind of support, the idea is to be collaborative.
Here is the google spreadsheet:

I think xda should create a web tool for debdv's. Every developer could enter the main info of his rom, and we would be able to see it like a table. We could do filters for device, android version, etc. I think it would be nice.
I don't think it will happen, because they want us to flash every single ROM and spend hours deciding what one we like.
Even the titles and original posts no longer seem to be updated. I've searched many threads trying to find a lollipop ROM with a black theme (not dark grey). I found newer versions mentioned towards the last couple pages of a thread, that weren't mentioned in the original post.
I know it's extra work but man it's difficult to sort through the different ROMs when the thread op lacks so much info.
