I have my Diamond paired to my car stereo for handsfree and audio playback. When I start the car I see the stereo connect to the phone and then about 2 seconds later the stereo switches to the bluetooth input and then 4-5 seconds later switches back to the radio or my ipod. During that 4-5 seconds I hear nothing.
Last week I installed one of DonSolari's ROMs and my phone stopped doing this, I didn't like the ROM so I switched it to a different one and the problem returned.
I think it is being caused by the phone making a sound when it pairs to the stereo. Any other noise made by the phone causes the same thing to happen, you never hear the noise presumably because it has already stopped by the time the input is active.
The ROM I'm using has sense 2.5 so I don't have access to the standard windows sounds screen, does anyone know the name of the .exe for this screen or another way of disabling this sound.

Something odd was going on with my Kaiser today. I always use my headset for calls and today when I made calls it automatically turned into speaker mode and I couldn't talk through the mic on the headset, but I can still listen. The speaker was on all the time and I didn't even turn it on. After I restarted the phone it was fine.
Has this ever happened to anyone? and what is the reason for that?
I get the same but only on the initial pairing of the device.
Unlike you however, I actually WANT to know how to activate this "feature"
For instance, I have tomtom on it, it would be great to have the voice coming through my car speakers via bluetooth
It's done it once accidently but never could replicate it again
well.. I was listening to music on my phone and the sound was still going through the headset, but I had no idea the speaker was also playing the music.. everyone was staring at me on the train and now I know why..
I tend to listen to my X1 in my car using a tape deck-3.5mm adapter, but whenever it's connected it will randomly call whatever my last call happens to be. I don't have voice dialing active (which is what I thought the problem was), so it's not picking up ambient noise thinking it's an order to call someone, and it seems to get worse depending on the song playing.
Yesterday I had a two-hour drive, and I only managed to get through maybe two dozen songs due to the interruptions. D: I even had it dial, hang up, and then redial again before I could close the phone function; multiple times in a row! My last calls list has the same number on it about a hundred times within a two-hour timespan XD
Any idea why this happens? Doesn't do it with a stereo bluetooth headset.
I think the wire may have an issue with the phone triggering a redial command. I used to use a Kaiser that had this issue with a 3.5mm adapter when the wire inside was broken (music would break up when moved). This is like using the button on a wired headset. When I replaced the adapter, the problem was gone. You might want to try wiggling the wire to see if that causes it, or get a different 3.5mm adapter.
I am having an issue with bluetooth when I switch from one app using bluetooth to another. Basically, when I am either listening to music or podcasts and then take a call the bluetooth drops out for about 2-3 seconds and the phone goes into speaker mode. This doesn't necessarily happen when going from the music or podcast app to the phone call, but after the phone call, the bluetooth drops out and I can hear the music or podcast playing on the phone's speaker for about 2-3 seconds before my headphones pick up the signal again.
I don't believe it is the headphones since I have used them extensively with 2 other smart phones with no issues.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Anyone else with this issue?
I can't be the only one experiencing this. So here's the issue, I connect my phone to any Bluetooth speaker and it plays fine. After some time of course the screen locks. I go to wake my phone and it stops playing on the speakers and instead starts playing on the phone instead. Meanwhile, radio in the car still shows it's connected. Even pushing next on the player moves to the next track. JBL Flip, wake up phone audio stops on speaker continues on phone. Motorola Bluetooth headset, same thing, wake up phone audio comes out of phone.
Why in the world would it do that?! Didn't do that with the Note 3.
Hi!
I've been using a bluetooth headset and speakers since I got my XPX, but I recently started using a wired headset at work because the battery in the bluetooth one didn't last all day. I've noticed that whenever I wake the screen, either by double-tapping or using the power button, the playback skips forward by one or two seconds. This happens no matter what audio player I use (I've checked Spotify, Poweramp and Pocket Casts) and only when using a wired headset. Bluetooth and phone speakers are unaffected.
I haven't had the chance to try other headsets with this phone, but this headset didn't cause this to happen on my old phone (Z3C). Since it only happens when I wake the screen, I kind of doubt it's the headset anyway.
Does anyone know what could be causing this and how to fix it?
Sorry to bump my old thread, but I 'd forgot I posted it earlier. I noticed the problem again today and was about to post about the problem again.
Does anyone know of a solution to this problem?
