I don't know enough about compiling kernals, so I'm curious if this is something another dev will have to do after a proper version of 5.0.7 is released, or are there kernals that can be flashed now to have it?

Can the Donut market be put onto a hero build wuold it be as simple as pushing the market apk or is there more to it then that? and if pushing it is possible what are the commands for cyan 4.1.11.1 donut market to jacheroski 2.2b.
not possible. Hero = android 1.5
THX 4 the help
makes sense and another question, if im using jacheroski 2.2b with the extra ram hack and I flash back over to cyanogen 4.1.11.1 will I still have the ramhack ? and what if I did a nandroid restore of cyan would it still be there?
No RAM hack is kernel based. The kernel is located in the boot.img so if you make a nandroid backup yes the kernel hack will be in the backup
cool
thx just wanted to know if it was kernal.
Alright, I found the thread for the rom hack for Cyanogen's roms, and I saw that SenseHero's thread had the bfs rom hacks posted on his thread. If I switched to KiNgxKx's Sense Hybrid 2.3, could I use the bfs kernels from Sense Hero's page? or if not, what rom hack should I use??
i would like to know this too. If anyone knows please give us an answer.
Well now I'm running cyanogen's 2.6.34, but the processor is capped off at 576mHz. Can anybody recommend a good overclocking kernel to flash?
I'm running CM 5.0.8, but I think I'm going to boot 6.0.0 RC2.
Hi everybody,
I'm still on CM6, mostly because i want 720p recording, and i have to say that IR kernel give me about 30% more battery life compared to stock CM6 kernel.
Unfortunately I'm not able to use any of the last IR kernels.
If I try to install any of the 2.6.38 based kernel i get a bootloop, so I'm using the last based on 2.6.37 (31 march). With this kernel my battery life is very good, but I can't connect my N1 via USB... the notification does not appear... I think it's a bug.
The kernel I'd like to use actually is the last one at the time of this writing: 2.6.38.4_AVS-CM6_CFS_20110424_1137.ZIP
But even if it is marked as for CM6, i get a bootloop...
Anyone have the same problem? What is the best/last IR kernel for CM6?
Thank you very much and... sorry for my English

Use 2.6.35 kernels, they're the last for Froyo, if I remember right. Look at the kernel version explanations in iR's thread, you'll see.
I'm using IR Kernel based on 2.6.37 and it's working fine, except for the USB problem.
What I don't understand it's why for each kernel release the developer still upload kernels for CM6 even if we can't use with Froyo...
I mean...
2.6.38.4_AVS-CM6_CFS_20110424_1137.ZIP it's supposed to be for CM6 and
2.6.38.4_AVS-CM7_CFS_20110424_1139.ZIP it's supposed to be for CM7
but the one for CM6 doesn't work with CM6...
Unfortunately I cannot post on development section, otherwise I would have asked him on the right thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=653598

Do you have the location please ?
Hey guys, loving CM7, but the nightly im using has a few quirks(no bluetooth, shuts off at 15% battery). I had tried phiremod before, but it didnt include any recent kernels and was stuck at 925mhz. So, i went back to what i had with the amazing 1300mhz. Since im trying it again, where would i get the latest oc kernel for the latest version of phiremod?
I forgot to ask, do CM7 specific kernels also work? If so, i feel stupid.
Pherimod is cm7+themes+apps so yeah cm7 kernels will work.
