Hello,
How can i stream my Internet to my Diamond. Any Tut?
THX.
Out of the box Windows Media Player and Streaming App handles streams (video and or audio). Just paste the link of the stream when you are connected to internet and it should start!
You might have buffering problems though even with a good fast connection. I don't know why it happens. If you run into this problem try increasing your buffer size.

Here is your answer:
When connected to Windows Mobile Device Center, your device can also use the network connection on the PC. You can use this feature to perform tasks such as downloading e-mail messages or browsing the Internet.
Note:
For added security, disable network bridging on the PC (specifically, bridging to a Remote NDIS adapter) before connecting to the PC to pass though to the Internet or a network. For more information on network bridging, see Windows Help on the PC.
To connect to a network or the Internet
Connect your device to the PC to start Windows Mobile Device Center.
Do one of the following:
If you have not already set up a Windows Mobile partnership between this device and the PC, click Connect without setting up.
If you have already set up a Windows Mobile partnership, click Mobile Device Settings.
Click Change Connection Settings.
In the This computer is connected to list, select Automatic to use the most common settings, or select which specific device connection should use the network connection on the PC to "pass through" Windows Mobile Device Center.

I've tried this and it doesn't work!
After I unplug the cable, Wireless LAN comes back.
I think it's Active Sync which deactive WIFI when it's connected to PC threw USB.
I agree. Then the next question is how to disable Auto Active Sync?
Try to go to Settings connexions (or option like that) in ActiveSync on your PC, then uncheck Open ActiveSync when device is plugged.
Start -> Settings -> Connections -> USB to PC
Uncheck Enable advanced network functionality

Without XDA, my Diamond is just a piece of stone!
How to use internet thtough usb from pc with i9000?I`m new with android, with WM and activesync everything goes easy...and here how?
same question here, tried a lot of things but nothing worked
AFAIK it is not yet possible at this time, just too much stuff to do to get it working
fastest way is to do a WiFi with your PC/laptop
there are software for the PC to make it into an AP even if you don't have a router
Froyo does comes with usb tethering option, but I don't have the chance to try it
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
Theres an option in About Phone in setting under usb setting. Select mobile internet, select that and plug into pc via usb cable. Wait for about 30sec and vola, you are all ready to go. No need for wifi.

don't really understand your question but...
For 2.1 - Settings > About Phone > USB Settings > PC Internet
Plug in your phone to your PC via the USB cable and wait for the drivers to install, once it's done you're able to tether using your phone's mobile network.
OR
Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile AP
Configure it, turn it on and connect it like a Wifi using your phone's mobile network as a hotspot.
For 2.2 - Settings > Wireless And Network > Tethering > USB Tethering [Checked]
Plug in your phone to your PC via the USB cable and wait for the drivers to install, once it's done you're able to tether using your phone's mobile network.
OR
Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile AP
Configure it, turn it on and connect it like a Wifi using your phone's mobile network as a hotspot.
hope that's what you're asking for.
what does PC Internet mean here ??
using pc's internet to cellphone
or
using cellphone's internet to pc ????
On WM PDA, the PDA can use the computer's internet for connectivity. However on Android, this feature is not implemented by anyone.
So what if you don't have WiFi, like me? My PC is connected to the internet through a USB modem.
When i connect my Galaxy S to the PC (Settings > About Phone > USB Settings > PC Internet) i get a (very fast) LAN connection but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. Is there anyway to configure either phone or PC so i can download or update apps from the market to my phone using the PC's connection (thus saving on my data limit)?????
Yes you can use your galaxy as a modem to connect your pc to internet by setting the usb setting to pc internet.

This I know, but the question is can I connect my phone to my PC's internet???
Done lots of research on this, Simple answer is NO you cannot share your PC's internet via USB to SGS. Winmo users like I dearly miss this feature from ActiveSync.
some newer laptops includes Ad Hoc WiFi
as in Share the laptop WiFi with another device nearby that uses WiFi
so the laptop acts as the AP
there are software for older laptop as well to do the same
How to configure my Galaxy S to connect my laptop to internet using USB connection to my Galaxy S? I installed Samsung USB drivers on my Win7 laptop and connect Galaxy S via USB. I went to Options -> Wireless and network -> Connection Sharing -> ticked USB sharing but error pops up on my Galaxy S.
What am I doing wrong? Did you succedded to share the connection?
I am using 2.3.6 JW4.
Thanks.
If you want to share your phone's mobile data connection via USB,
then,
1. use the pc data cable, connect the multifunction jack on your phone to the laptop.
2. in idle mode, select Applications - Settings - Wireless and network - Tethering and portable hotspot - usb tethering
3. to stop, clear usb tethering.

You have to be connected to USB for the option in Hotspot to show, mine does not show when it is not connected
And no, you are sharing your mobile data so no need for WiFi

No, it just shares mobile data via USB or WiFi depending which hotspot you create
You just need a USB WiFi adapter for the PC

Might work on the P30 if you disable Mobile data and only have WiFi connected, then tether via USB
