Need help urgently.. - XPERIA X1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have one question.. Please help..
Is there any way to turn off the automatic data connections (such as HSDPA, 3G, GPRS, etc.)?
What I want is that I can manually turn on/off this data connections when I want to use it or not.. Why? Because there's a time when I use Wi-Fi to browse internet using Opera Mobile, then my data connections turn on automatically (I don't realize this) and it cost me a lot of money..=(
Thanks..

You Can Use Customized Rom For All That Tweaks Else You Can Search Here Hope You Get It ....

Hmm interesting.. If I install and run that program, what should I do to use data connections when I need it? I need to turn off the "no data" program, or I only need to turn on data connections at comm manager?

the nodata is a program in program files when you start it up you can disable and re-enable the ability to use 3g data as you see fit

Setting for Tilt Data Plan: KaiserTweak

I just got the data plan and have yet to be able to connect to it? I've tried messing with the KaiserTweak settings. I have data connections enabled. I also enabled leave connection always on but that gave me the connection is not active icon. When I disable that function all I get at the top of the screen is an "H". What do the settings need to be in order to get the data connection properly functioning? I've yet to see the connection is active icon up top.
Update
I am able to update the weather on the HTC home page I'm using by enabling the data connection on all the time but the browsers still do not connect. I also don't see the active data connection icon.
did you uncheck proxy ? if not , do so
Proxy is already unchecked.
You do have a data connection the H means = HSDPA
(Like a 3G connection but faster)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HSDPA
Also try refreshing your settings (This works for me... and it's annoying!)
Start>Settings>Connections>Connections>Manage my existing connections.
Then "Next" thru all the settings until you get to the end. Press Finish. The data connection drops and the re-establishes.
See if your browser then works.
When I follow that path under connections I don't see a manage my connections option. All I see is "My work network" with 3 options under that. Add Modem, add vpn server and set up proxy.
Try this
Try these files. I use them whenever I flash a new rom and haven't had any trouble connecting since then.
One has all the medianet/isp settings and the other is for mms. I know you didn't say you have a problem with mms, but just in case
Just run and reset and everything should work.
Thanks, I'll have to try those when I get home. The browsers do connect to Wifi with no issues. Could there be a conflict with that? When there is wifi connection available which connection will it grab onto? Wifi of MediaNet? Those files won't affect the current wifi settings used to connect will it?

I've never had them interfere with WiFi since I use WiFi at home and MediaNet at work.
The settings cab is a pretty simple cab, it really just fills out all the information in the boxes to set up the connections but it saves a lot of time and gets everything right, for me at least, in one shot.
Let me know how it goes.
I tried those cabs and I still can't get any of the browsers to work. Nor my email. I keep getting a connect connect message. Anyone know the proper settings to get the browsers to work? However the weather is able to update on my HTC home page.
i dont nknow if youve tried this but everytime i flash a new rom i have to do this or ill have the same problem.. in your connections settings go through the meus until you find this device connects to: and by default it should say the internet.. but you have to select media net (att right?) cus thats the only way apparently media net is not the same as the internet!
ex: go to setings > connections > connections (icon) > advanced > select networks > "programs that automatically connect to the internet should connect using: and itll probably be set to my isp and you ewant it on MEdia net

3G on the Diamond

I am trying to setup my Diamond so 3G only connects when I want it to. I've added the 3G button to the comm manager. Even with this set to off it reconnects when the web browser is opened.
I also have the advanced config manager installed with the Auto GRPS set to disabled but still the 3G connects automatically.
Does anyone have the same problem and/or know a fix?
It will connect whenever anything requests data, as far as I know, there's no way to stop this.
Thought there may be a hidden setting maybe in the registry that could stop this. It is annoying that the comm manager says 3G is off yet there is data connection after loading up the browser. And I'm sure it just connects even without actively requesting a data connection through the browser.
What happens when you set both options in Connections to use "My Work Network" and set your WLAN as your Work Network?
use no data
then this way you don't start it unless you want it to
hope this helps

Use no data? Am I missing something or is this as simple as it sounds!? Are you suggesting that by not using programs requiring data then I will not activate the 3G connection?
It certainly is a shame that upon activating a program requiring a data connection that you cannot select the source of this data ie. 3G, wifi etc or just cancel the request entirely.
if you want it to use wifi, simply connect to wifi before you launch the application. Windows Mobile is very different from Symbian in that way (Symbian will ask for each app).

GPRS on diamond

Hi,
Im new here, so i dont actually know if someone asked this before, so here i go
How can i prevent my diamond from using, gprs connection, for weather updates, opera, explorer, and ect.
Id like it to use wifi, for all those things but it seems he uses gprs for default, is there any settings to tell him to use wifi instead of gprs?
Thanks
settings->connections->connections->advanced tab->select network
pick the item in the dropdownbox's which are not called

ok, this worked, but now how do i force weather updtates, to use wifi?
The diamond will choose to use the data-connection available. If wifi is enabled, that's what it will use, if not it will try to use something else. turn off auto update, and update the weather manually whenever you have wifi coverage.
ok,thanks for help, everything works as i want to
so anyway, one more uestion. how can i instal security sertificate into my phone? (*.cer )

Is there any utility like this?

Is there any utility, which will do the next:
If any program want to conect to internet it will ask me first how do I want to connect: Wi-Fi, 3g, GPRS? And I will choose...
Would it help you to disable the automatic connection via 3G or anything else than Wifi?
There is an app that enables/disables Data connection with one click:
NoData (can be downloaded here)

Thanx a lot.
I saw some discussion about this program. But as I understood it doesn't do what I want. When some of the program want to connect to internet, I want to choose the connection: Wi-FI, 3g, GPRS. I don't want to preset anything in advance, because I don't know which network will be available at this moment.

Do not want data connection

I do not have a data plan and only want internet access through wifi. In settings, I have turned off data connection. However, when I am in areas where wifi is not present and the device tries to connect to the internet, it automatically turns data connection on. Is there a way I can permanently disable data connection so that it won't do this (so that I don't incur data charges)?
Try nodata.
Awesome. Thank you - exactly what I wanted.

i didn't set up a connection so it never tries to go on G
