Hi guys,
I'm quite newbie... I've just moved from SPV c600 to DIAMOND. I've one problem that really makes me mad. At first I must tell that I've tried everything hard reset , than checking if any apps is causing that one by one-with no result. Occasionally I just can't pick up/refuse a calls with HW buttons. I use S2U2(installed yesterday), but this problem I had even before i installed that app. Does anybody of you experienced such an issue? Anybody knows the answer how to fix it? Thanks in advance
Same thing happens to me! It is like HW buttons work whenever they want but not all the time. If you install AEButton Plus you can remap HW buttons, but again the same thing will happen. The changes will work sometimes but not always.
I have a similar problem. Can you answer with soft buttons? Hoping some solution ideas will appear here or in that thread.
Same issue here.
I have added my experience to the above listed thread, and also opened a thread at Howard Forums.

This has become extremely frustrating.
Sprint has not been very receptive to this either.
what works for me is to lock & unlock the screen.
unless it case is related to another problem which i have experience before as well. But this has gone away since i loaded a different rom from the original htc.
*edit
this should fix it

Looked around, really couldn't find much info on this anywhere specifically for the N1.
Is there a way/app/hack to get the power button to act as a mute button while in a call ?
Thanks!
Tom
I haven't heard of any, but I find it hard to believe anyone would actually code that. The N1s are well known to have issues with the power buttons wearing out which will lead to them not functioning at all. Using the powerbutton for additional things on the phone seems like it would just accelerate the issue.
This isn't to say that someone won't develop it, but I think it would be a generic app and not something with the N1 in mind.

Hi, ty for the reply
Didn't know about this im sorry to find out about this now that i got my N1.
I hope its just a localized issue and only happening on a batch of N1's. Since i got my N1 only recently i wouldn't be surprised if HTC knew of the problem and fixed it mid mfr process.
I'm also looking for something like this for the N1, and wouldn't mind paying for a app that could make it happen!
Hi,
I am having a problem with my Samsung Galaxy S I9000. I have noticed that the volume through earphones is very low(actually the background noises in the song/movie are very clear but the main voice is very low so I think its some frequency problem?).
I tried searching for a solution and found that people suggested using the code for the Service Menu. I tried using it *#*#197328640#*#* but nothing happened. So after a lot of searching I found another code from where I can back into the service mode main menu. I did that and found out that my main menu does not have the Audio option. normally I have seen that phones have 6 options. Mine had only 5 and the audio option was missing. Can somebody help me fix it. Is it a specific that I am facing? Should I get the handset exchanged. Also, if I should get it exchanged should I unroot it first?? please advise...i am having sleepless nights thinking what is wrong with my phone
PS: While searching on google, I did not find a single person with this problem
Please help!!
Is it possible that your headphones are broken? Have you tried using an alternate set of headphones?
I have this issue to i think it is the standard head phones so i will be changing them first can get some of amazon quite cheap so will try them first
EDIT : i can confirm it is head phones i have tryed my partmers and sound is fine so new headphones will solve your problem

Which ROM and kernel you are in ???
Hey all,
for those of you who are experiencing irresponsive back/home buttons you could try this below:
go to settings -> language&keyboard ->HTC sense input -> advanced -> calibration tool
When you're calibrating the keyboard, press the keys very lightly, after you're done you should have a better back/home key response.
At least it worked for me hope this helps!!!
Just calibrated it, see how it goes during the day and report back .
i guess it has to do with stock setting were meant for you to press it normally(harder/more precise?) to be responsive, so if you calibrate it to be responsive to light touches, pressing the keys as you would normally would make it better.
but then again its just my own thoughts, hope it helps
I didn't realise it registered the firmess of touch? Just thought it was on/off input?
Aah excellent ill try this
I wonder if this has any effect on the sensitivity while having a screen protector.
had a go should be able to tell after a days use
If anyone can test this with the Spigen Glas.T that would be great. Thank you.
Doesn't work im afraid . Its definitely a software issue though, hence you can lock and unlock and the buttons work again. Confident it will be fixed in the next update.

Yes...anyone try it?
so this problem with capacitive home/back buttons is REALLY pissing me off.
went to sprint store, asked to see their display unit, told them the problem i had. guy said "I NOTICED THAT TOO". used their demo unit, EXACT same problem. Talked to some people on IRC who also noticed it.
*really* hope its software-fixable because I love the phone otherwise
It worked for me. Seems either way it's a software issue.

Will test it a bit more but it seems like it worked for me.
Thanks TC!
I've used adb shell # getevents to see that FREQUENTLY tehre is just no event generated when pressing the home and back buttons. It *is* a hardware problem. I've never been so annoyed, displeased, or disappoined with a phone. I'll be returning it. Even tho the model I saw in the store had the exact same problem. If my next one has same problem I'll give the ol F**K YOU to HTC and not look back.
Also, havent found a way to get software keys on it...which MAY be an acceptable alternative to broken hardware buttons

an OTA released here in Taiwan , and seems it got this issue fixed. I don't have the phone but I suppose this will go to your phone soon. If it does't please don't bash me:cyclops:

What OTA is that specifically? And did it specifically say it fixed that? This is clearly a widespread problem.
Hello!
So, a few days ago, I was calling people and nobody would hear me, at all. No matter what, it was completely mute. I even tried it myself with my home phone...mute! So I guessed it was a microphone problem.
I have tried looking up a lot of options but I can't seen to find a "microphone volume" option, so I thought that was not the problem as it was not an actual option. So I took my Razr I to the Motorola authorized technical assistance. 10 days after leaving the phone there, I got it back from technical assistance, and they claimed that it was an electrical problem, which in turn had been solved. So I got to test it, and...the microphone was mute!!!!!!!! Then I called Motorola costumer service, and I was oriented to take it to the authorized technical assistance again.
I mean, what the hell is that? What is that technical assistance that does not test the devices before getting them back to the costumers?
To sum it up, I took a quick look at Google and I noticed that my problem is not that uncommon. Anyways, tomorrow I'm taking it to the assistance again.
Did anyone else in here had the same problem? I searched Razr I forum here on XDA but did not find any matches.
Regards,
