The extended rom of your phone seems to have gotten corrupted by too many installing/deleting applications or some or any essential OS files corrupt and not responding. You can try by switching OFF the phone and taking out the battery for a couple of minutes say 30 mins and then try again to switch ON the phone or try Soft reset, see if it works, otherwise try a Hard Reset.Hope it'll work, well if it still doesn't work, than the only way out is to reflash a new Rom.
Cheers !

Ok....i will shoot again. Because you didnt read the faqs for it. Flash a stock rom...then do a hard reset....then flash the one you want....then hard reset again. Should all work for you then.

Yeah and now this is a double double post right? haha. Just too many n00bs that dont read the faQs....or really know how to flash. Its just too easy now for everyone to just pick a rom....or hell even just to unlock there device. Then they are here screamin because nothing works. Shoot i with it was this easy for every thing i had But like i said before READ............then flash. Then post and let me know whats up. If it still freezes for you then let me know. Im sure it can be fixed........since its either a bad flash....or bad .mp3... If its corrupted it could cause a freeze. But the player wont. Nor will any other player for that matter. O i guess "rant off" for now.....
Hello... Thanks for all ths not so sweet post... Mr. smokestack76, If i becoming crazy, is becasue in terrible tired to follow guides or faq, and this damend kaiser do what he want to do... I normall alwyas do hard reset before and after flash... That is reason i came here to try not bother u so much... But Im not perfect and perhaps i mistake in something... what you mean when you say "Flash a stock rom..." Hoping somebody could safe my live... best regards.
Flash this rom Stock rom And then flash what ever rom you want. It should work then.
Thanks for ur fast answer... could I have any problems if my terminal is european? At last u will be nice person... even for drinks some shots... hahaha... I will try this evening... will write if it works... Thanks!
Well if your worried about that you could also try flashing the cooked rom again. Maybe flash it twice and do a hard reset. But the rom i posted for you to download is just a stock HTC rom. So it wont matter where you live.
Well... Im just try follow ur words, Mr. smokestack76, and it seem is the same... I change the hardspl 3.29 for the 3.29 hard2... but is the same... Its like too much proccess running and get colapse when i try play one song from manila 2d interface... jajaja its just automatic standby, and cant open it... must softreset... ;( and still not try camera... any other idea?
Edit:
It just get stuck again try enter my location inside Weather channel from manila 2d Interface... but is like too much load for procesor, becasue i can open dialer pressing send button... and some kind of sound appear... but i cant go out from dialer screen... I really need help... ;(
Go back to the original rom that was on your phone and see if you have the same problem.
And maybe have someone type for you, the translater you're using makes it seem like you're from Bizzaro world..
who knows? hahaha perhaps I belong to it... Now I just get stuck again opening Audio Manager from Programs... HTC ROM 3.34.721.2 this rom could works? or perhaps change radio rom? Sorry abotu my bad english... Im jsut spanish improving my english... jajaja bye

What radio version do you have? But even with different radios i dont know of it being able to cause those issues........
Also how are you flashing roms? Are you using windows vista? Do you have a SD card you can flash from? If yes to those questions flash from your SD card and see how that goes.
Mr. smokestack76 I have Xp SP3. I flash from USB. perhaps i could fnd some sd to try... Radio 1.70.19.09 which radio do you recomenden to me? Now I have PDA V18G2
That radio should work but you can try the one in my signature. I know it works well with mine. Since your using XP its not a issue there. Im running outta ideas here.
Starting to believe me these is weird problem with this mother f*~$ kaiser... hahaha when i just installl or just hard reset made, and arrive under manila 2d to music channel, it start to go slow... to searching and index the music... when this proces is finish, and apper right the first song, the name, the time, everyhting ok... but u press play and nothing happens... and the sistem is not complety freeze, just very slow... and if u change channel or do somethig that make system colapse, but becaue is too much work to do for him. I think... perhaps i need overcloking the kaiser? xD And this problem is with all the roms i try... and I from last summer reading and flasing diferent kind of roms... This evening i will try ur radio... Where you live? North America? Europe? I read about some radios have some problems with diferent phone company... Thanks a lot Mr. smokestack76.
Mr. smokestack76... I need your help!!!! Im jsut flash the radio rom u have at ur sing.. and happens same... dont know... what to do... could i try HTC ROM 3.34.721.2???
Ok then so the problem tends to be with regards to M2D Music Tab, can you copy a couple of songs to the device memory and then turn off device remove memory card and restart device. Now try and play the songs with M2D Music Tab.
"I ask this as the problem could be the read off the memory card, maybe there are issues with the card itself"
Try that and hit us back with what happens.
Umm... yeah parhsp it could be that... I not think in that... nw I put HTC original... will try if get stuck... If with this rom not get stucked... how i can put manila 2d? any link i could check?
many people recomend that you do a hard reset after flashing a new ROM:
1-why?
2-does it really improve anything are there any people who think that this is a myth? ive even seen people claming that this solved their battery drange problem
3- whats the difference between a freshly flashed rom and a hard reset device?
4-when exactly is the best time: after the flash directly or after the first reboot when the phone finishes installing stuff from extended memory?
I'm wondering the same thing...
Me too
but i've heard that there can be some "rests" of the old rom after flashing a new.
And the hard reset clears the whole memory, so the system is "clean".
If I'm wrong tell me how it is right.
Personally, I don't believe this. I never did and never have a problem.
the argument is that a rom image (that you flash) doesn't always fill the entire memory space so there's a chance that some of the arrays could contain old data as the RUU doesn't clear the space first.
It doesn't hurt to hard reset whether this scenario happens or not, just hold the hardkeys down during first boot after it comes out of bootloader ..

the plot thickens
even the cooks thinks its not worthwhile
ill do it anyway (even if its a myth) since there is no need to wait for the rom to boot for the first time and no extra time is needed as fards says
From my experience, you really need to hard reset itje's touchit roms. I'm not sure why, but when I didn't hard reset, the device felt really really slow. This is very noticeable. After the hard reset, everything will be fast again.
I'm using jack's lite rom now, but I don't find that you need to hard reset on this rom.
i also never hard reset my device after a rom upgrade. never had problems.
ive tested my self acouple times tryin a rom for a day then hard reseting and see no difference in file structure, (backups) or registry (reg dump and compare)
so i do not hard reset my device after a hard reset

ummmm!!!... ok
i had tons of strange problems when i didnt do a hardreset after the flash.
software didnt work, icons were missing, phone didnt worked at all and so son. all problems were usualy fixed after a hardreset.
+1 for the not really worth it but do it anyway on the xperia (even in itje roms)
if this poll was on the wizard forum, im sure everybody will say its a MUST. so far only %30 here think its worth doing
yeah its a bit weird that only %30 think its worthwhile considering the number of people who do it when you read the itje ROM thread

many people use and think hard reset is equal to push the stylus into the soft reset hole...
I recommend hard-reset after flash...
It happens so many times that when ppl flashing my roms, and get bugs that I dont have, or many others dont have..
And what has been the sollution for many??? Hard-reset...suddenly they report back that it fixed their issue??
And how can ya'll "non-hard-spls-belivers" explain that?
But no matter what..
If you feel it helps, so do it
If you think it wont help...then dont
ah, and one thing more...
If you flash only the same build, basicly same roms, just with minor updates, then hard-reset after flash might not be needed cause the conflicting residue in nand might not conflict with the new flash...
perhaps just speculations and sci-fi....
But I will recommend hard-spl for any new flash, untill someone can hardcore prove the opposite...
but as said before...ya'll do what you want

I always recomend hard-spl for flashing new firmware, but thats off topic
I'll do everytime after flashed a new rom. 宁可信其有,不可信其无,believe it just cost you press some keys together, lol

After flashing, during the first boot, there already IS something that looks like a hard reset. Something like "auto-hard-reset". Therefore allow me to ask you 3 questions please:
1. Is this "auto-hard-reset" similar to the manual hard reset(when we push simultaneously left, right and soft reset key, or via Start>Settings>System>Clear Storage)?
2. What exactly did you mean in your quote(its part that I've marked bold)? I've never heard anything about holding any keys DURING the first boot. Everywhere is written: "Make hard reset AFTER you flash." Or maybe I missed something?
3. What if NOT to wait for this "auto-hard-reset", and just manually, BEFORE it happens, make an HR(pushing simultaneously left, right and soft reset key) in time when firmware splash screen is showed? It would save the time... but is it harmless?
Thank you very much for your answers!

If it's still there then it seems to be a hardware problem and you should give it for repair.
First try to install the stockSPL and a stock ROM, maybe this is causing some problems (I never heard of something like this though).

Well, I had no intention to line up the steps to do in a perfect order.
It just came to my mind that he should try to set the phone back to stock.
But you're absolutely right, I should watch my words because someone could think it's step by step like a cooking recipe

ok ! , I ll try it as soon I get home!...
thanks!
my x1i developed a similar soft-reset cycle after removing panelmanager directory from program files, on every boot phone hanged after about 1-2 minutes and then restarted.
i was on itjes touch-it9 rom and a hard reset solved it. but i think this cant be ur problem as u have already tried reinstalling roms. hope somebody solves the mystery.
ok...........
hmmm... no... hard reset wont fix my problem
sounds like a hardware issue then..
try without sd card in for a while..
try without sim card in for a while.
are you installing anything extra?
if the problems still there then I guess you have to send it back for repair.
I have no sound whatsoever coming out of my xperia x1.
The problem happened when I installed pocketshield and changed the settings a little bit, I uninstalled it hoping that this will fix the problem but still no sound.
When I start SRS WoW it displays an error message saying that there is no audio driver or something like that.
Plz I really need help, i'm posting this from my x1
It happened to me once. You will need to hard reset it, IF the driver is missing.
i don't want to hard reset it it, can i place the driver manually??
I don't think so.
thanx for ur reply. i guess i'll have to do a hard reset, i've been avoiding it cuz i finally have app. and games the way i like this is also why i didn't want to flash another rom.
although i read on another post a simillar problem that was NOT fixed by harrd resetting or even flashing but i'll try and see for myself.
so here is what i'm going to do: as soon as i get home i'll back up some stuff then do a hard reset and see if the sound works then i'll try and flash a 6.5 winmo rom.
but i have some questions first:
1- if i'd like to send the phome to repair as it's still in gurantee period, will they accept it with another rom other than the original? or do i have to flash it agin?
2- can u guide me to a very simple tutorial on how to flash? cuz it'll be my first time.
3- can u also gude me to a good 6.5 winmo rom? i really do care about performance and speed.

1 - The official SE repair centre will not accept it with a ROM that is different from the original. If you want to send it to an official SE repair centre, you need an official ROM on it.. Private worhshops won't care at all, so you can take it there.
Original ROMs:

2 - How to:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=497511
3 - 6.1 and 6.5 custom ROMs and guides as well:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=477801
I can't recommend a 6.5 ROM, because 6.1 is better for my needs and I didn't like any of the 6.5 ROMs, but that is a personal preference. The newer 6.5 releases are pretty stable and fast, so you won't have problems, though.
Maybe someone else can give you a recommendation.
found the solution
i found what was the reason i had no sound at all
it is all because i installed SRS WoW 1.5
i tried to install it again after a hard reset it made the same exact problem and after uninstalling it it worked fine so i wanted to share this
Coll. Thanks for the info, some apps mess up the drivers and it is always good to know which ones to avoid.
I had the same problem on my Fujisu-Siemens Pocket Loox T830 when I installed SRS WOW. I was able to solve it without a hard reset because I had backed up the original sound driver before I installed SRS. But it teached me a lesson: Never ever touch that SRS WOW thing! It's crap, it completely messes up your phone!
i guess so but SRS WOW worked fine for me before installing the newer version
now they both cause problems
