I have a kernel that goes up to 1.152MHz ..someone.. can't remember who released, but was later changed to 1.113Mhz again.. I believe it is because of stability issues, blah blah.. it's dangerous.. blah..

These are kernels that allows overclocking. As far as I know, for N1, no one has the guts to OC a $500 phone higher than 1.1.
IMO, OC'ing Droid higher then 1.1 (which doubles the clock) is a completely crazy idea.
There's just no way you can double stock speed without any side effects.

I have a Captivate with Cog 4.1.1, Firebird 2 kernel, and JK4 modem.
I just ran a Quadrant Advanced benchmark on it, and was really surprised by the CPU score of the Nexus One.

Why is its CPU score so much higher than every other score? Am I missing something?

Quad doesnt mean alot to our device as it was built for the snap dragon and not the hummingbird that we have. The N1 has a snapdragon built in.
Please dont worry about Quad scores as they can be inflated and not mean anything at all. Use real world feel to judge.

#1 - forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6954933&postcount=1
thread is now dead..
may anyone can get some idea from this..
the whole thing is to come out with a faster gpu performance
yes it would be great if any dev try to port it or try to overclock gpu....

Hey,
I overclocked my phone to 844MHZ , been testing it for couple hours and my phone works smooth.
There are two option in apocalypse OC- 1 restore to regular(=800MHZ) when rebooted, 2- keep the OC even when rebooting.
isn't the point of OC is to keep the cpu overclocked to 844MHZ(for instance) ?
will it damage my phone if I keep the OC even when rebooting?
Well! It depends... usually restore at boot option prevents ur phone from going into continuous bootloops, if unstable OC values are set.
However, if you've enough knowledge about OC, you can left it to remain overclocked even after boot.
NOTE:- Don't OC too high...
Hope this helps!!!

Doesn't seem to sleep much
Build : 7.0.A.3.212
You're using ondemand governor, that's a reason.

Mine's still unrooted. Thats why.
Gotta go power saving mode?
I'm using ondemand and it sleeps much more than that.
Moreover, I switched for a while to msm-dvcs in the hopes that it would be better, but only got much worse battery life.

Stock, rooted, everything related to performance unchanged.
@OP and all affected: install Better Battery Stats, there's a free version for xda members in the forums. Let it run and do it's work for a couple days and then come back with a proper report on what's what. Posting a screenshot of an app showing time-spent-in-state of a not sleeping device is just...
Stock JB. Rooted. One Power Guard on AI Mode.
As I've been flashing different roms on my phone, I always wanted to get the best battery life. But if you've locked the frequency to a single one than there is no problem.
But what if your phone's CPU is set between two ranges like 300-1000 Mhz?
How will you know what's the current frequency of your phone?
SO I created this app to know my phone's current frequency.
It helps because if my phone is running on highest frequency than I need to kill apps and find out what app is eating my CPU and battery or probably flash another kernel.
And if its running on the lowest set frequency than its working just fine and its the best kernel, no need to flash another one.
This app supports Android version 4.0 and above. It shows a toast message as well as swipable notification. Give it a try maybe? Yeah? OKay.
Its available in the amazon app store (click my signature) and attached an apk file for the pros. :fingers-crossed:
Thanks
