Awesome stuff and thanks for sharing the link!
Trying this tomorrow (its late here )
Thanks!
THanks! i gota XT702 from China...and everything is like blocked...now i installed it...its a proper milestone now and not moldstone
Aye, I've got a Milestone from Newegg , and I'm not sure as to which company actually released the model I have. (Carrier or Region). Anyone mind lending me a hand here so I can download the update?
Heres the phone.

Aww...
I would so love to try this out (and I suppose with the help of a nandroid backup I could). But I also know that I would lose Canadian 3G since the ROM would not support UMTS 850/1900.
@DarkOne951: The model you have is European with UMTS 900/2100. So it can't get 3G anyway on T-Mo or AT&T. The ROMs on that page are all for 900/2100 phones.
If you want to know which country variant you have, go to settings, about: Firmware configuration version
and tell us what is listed under that heading.

I already know about 3G, and it really doesn't bother me. I only have Edge on TMO where I am anyway. As for the firmware, I'll get back to you on that.
As your phone is a pure Milestone, the rom above should work like a charm~ ^^
Facebook sync on 2.36 RTEU/UK:
in build.prop replace
Code:
ro.product.name=MILESTONE
ro.product.device=A853
with
Code:
ro.product.name=umts_sholes
ro.product.device=umts_sholes
reboot and clear the facebook.apk data:
menu>Setting>Applications>Manage applications>menu>Filter>All, select Facebook and Clear data
Then, when you enter your facebook login again, sync options will finally show up...

Perfect, I'll do that =)
So to be clear this is still 2.1, but with bug fixes right?
I wonder if it fixes the bug in which applications can only see one cell tower ID in UMTS mode, and that ID is stale if the phone has been moved around since it last entered UMTS mode.
Anyone could tell us about the improvement(s) of this new Rom ?
Thanks
Hi guys,
We have just released the firmware files for all Asian markets.
Later today, we will introduce a new G.O.T OpenRecovery to V1.0.2:
- New install and uninstall for the tweaks (Apps2SD, Overclocking, memhack)
- Modified and updated G.O.T theme
- Modified handling of the build.prop
Regarding the question above, simply navigate to the Release Notes section on our blog.
Ok! Just did the Thai install over top of Telus. My Swype beta broke as a result though. 3G works.
Just re-rooting it now... done. I backed up build.prop and swapped it to the one that came with Telus though, in order to retain market protected apps. In fact, doing this restored my Swype to believing I was back to the same device.
I can report the music bug is nearly fixed. It used to be that if I played an MP3, paused, rebooted, relaunched the music app, it would jump into playing that song. Now it blurts out a tiny snippet of sound and then stops. I can also report no spurious reboots after shutting the phone down.
I will test the wifi fixes at school on Monday, since the 802.1x network there causes this phone some grief.
Most root apps are working but Titanium Backup isn't happy. It doesn't seem to think it has root privileges. I went back to OpenRecovery and installed busybox from there. But after reboot, root explorer doesn't seem to see busybox anywhere. So at the moment Titanium is dead
EDIT again: Root Explorer worked on my first reboot after root. Now it's not seeing the root permissions either. Ugh. Re-rooting from recovery a second time, this time after replacing the OpenRecovery/root directory with the copies of su and superuser.apk that I had in my previous install (from OpenRecovery 1.14). Ok I think it works now. Titanium however is still unhappy. This time I went into Root Explorer, copied busybox out of the OpenRecovery/sbin directly, and manually pasted it in /system/xbin (not sure if I need to change permissions). But after doing that, Titanium became happy again.
used rds lite but stuck at moto screen after flash wtf had to do a nano restore...i had ap2sd applied is this the cause?
hmmm did nano restore and media player bug is gone was update applied?

Aha! Well that'd explain everything... it'd explain why root worked *and then later on it didn't*.
In any case, copying busybox to /system/xbin using Root Explorer seems to have done the trick at least where Titanium Backup is concerned.

I'm rooted but without CWM (still have stock recovery). Can I simply defrost (freezing is all I've done) and get the update? Or do I have to do a hard reset to get back to full stock?
If hard reset to stock is required, any tips or techniques that you use to save time to get back to where you were? Thx.
Well I am updated and while I notice that all the extra Verizon apps are gone here is what I see...
1. Kindle, bing, slacker, tunewiki, and Verizon tones are all still installed and no option to remove them.
2, After I installed a dozen apps of my own, I still have 1gig of app space available.
3. The phone is remarkable faster and smoother.
I am going to see if they fixed the Exchange email client issue I was having...

Rooted should be ok, you may likely lose your root. It does not install with clockwork. I used lgnpst and imaged my phone, I then did a factory reset, felt like starting from scratch.
Verizon only removed a handful of apps. I am not sure it was worth the trouble. I have to root again so I can go back in and freeze or uninstall all the crap they left.
Id say in the de-bloat department they were a epic fail.

yeah I returned my phone to stock with the lg tool and tot file, then did a factory reset, updated, rooted again, used titanium back up to uninstall the rest of the bloat Verizon missed.
While I do not know if the update breaks root or not, you can use the root tool in the dev section (esteem root v2) to root your phone. It works like a charm.
So was anything else updated? Trying to decide if it's worth my time to bother with. I am already running a zv9 that I seriously debloated and tweaked to where it's useable.

me too. I am running zv9 with root. And uninstalled lots of useless apps for me. I tried update, but failed.

It will rebloat your phone. While they did patch some things, my phone did actually run smoother. I did have to root it again and un-install all the bloat they left, vzw tones, navigator, city id, kindle, slacker, etc...
No better battery life and not much of a performance increase. Id wait if you are happy.
keeps trying to update
I was planning on rooting & putting BrokenOut ROM on my revo when my contract ended. Then this OTA update came out, and I was worried that it would prevent that. So, I rooted the phone and put CWM recovery on and did a backup. As expected, the OTA update failed.
But, it hasn't given up. It tries and tries, about once a day. I hear my phone chirp, and it has rebooted and drained the battery, and shows at various times either the "update failed" screen, or the "updating in 2 minutes" screen, or recovery. When I get prompted to run the update, I defer it - but the deferal time doesn't correspond to when the reboot happens.
It's possible that the rooting and recovery are behind the problem, and not the update - but I suspect the update has something to do with it.
So, what I'd like to know is:
1) if I get the update, can I still use ROM Manager to change the recovery back to CWM, and still be able to flash BO on it?
2) to get the update, is it safe to just use ROM Manager to put the stock recovery on it, then run the update? I haven't done any debloating or other rooty stuff not mentioned above. I'd rather not lose data by reset, tot, etc.
3) can I fix my problem without getting the update? Maybe one of the options on the "update failed" screen? I'm not sure if I've selected only "OK" or only "Cancel" so far - or what those are supposed to mean.
4) do the security updates make zvb better than BO? (Does anyone here no what the security updates are?)
Thanks...
Broken out is based off of V9, so unless there are updates to the radio, you will most likely over-write most, if not all, of the updates.
As posted earlier, someone has rooted and installed cwm. But, someone wants to post up the update (you can rip it from the /data/local/tmp directory, iirc) I will try my best to update BO. Also, if someone can do a backup of the new update and post it up, (not the blob crap, the other one ) I'll rip the kernel and post a flashable zip. Maybe they did fix something. We will see.

Yeah, I figured current BO would undo zvb, that's why I was wondering which I should go with. The update downloaded several times, but I don't see anything in /data/local/tmp. Don't know if the download failed or just didn't persist. It hasn't tried to update for the last 30 hours or so. I'm not eager to encourage it at the moment.
I see that haxcid re-rooted, but nothing about re-cwm-ing.

I rebooted my phone, and once again it prompted me to install the update. I selected "defer" and then checked settings / about phone / software update / status which says "Package downloaded successfully".
However, /data/local/tmp is still an empty directory, according to ES File Explorer.
That's where the file was stored for v7, v8, and v9. Maybe they changed it for this update. IDK. I'll look into it. No worries. It's all good.
I think it gets downloaded to /cache/fota, but deleted once the process finishes failing. I will try to trigger it again and copy it before the phone reboots. I was not given the defer option this time.

Not really. I believe MT disabled the update feature from BO; hence the 'super fast' FC's at boot.
Warning: crawrj mentioned this wouldn't flash in TWRP. I use CWM, so not sure whether it's compatible with TWRP (or any other recoveries) at the moment. So, if you're not using CWM... I would suggest waiting a bit.
So as most people know, the new OTA update aims to kill root on the device and the motochopper root method. Once I received the update and saw that it removed root, I immediately set out to figure out what was causing the issue. I also noticed that I was getting the notice about an application performing unauthorized tasks, or something to that effect.
After doing a few file deletions and restores, I finally found the file (KNOXAgent.apk) that was causing the notice about unauthorized actions and needing to restart. I've been running the phone with the MDL update for a little over a week now, and I haven't had another notice. I did lose root during the update, but was able to easily root it again with the motochopper method once the KNOXAgent files were removed.
So, here are the steps I took to avoid losing my root.
1) adb shell
2) su
3) mount -o remount,rw /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/system /system
4) rm /system/app/KNOXAgent.*
5) Reboot into recovery and flash the OTA zip provided below. It's the OTA update with the KNOXAgent patches removed from the updater-script. This will allow the update to continue installing without having an error about KNOXAgent not being found on the device.
The same process may have to be done with future OTA updates once KNOXAgent is removed, but it's better than losing your root method each time an OTA comes out. As I mentioned, I've been using this phone since May 13th with this being done. I also had to take out the My Files updates as well, since I have the CyanogenMod file browser (My Files doesn't have root support).
Unfortunately, it seems XDA has problems with filtering spam and requires that you have 10 posts before being able to post external links. Since I don't have anything else to post at the moment, and can't post on the development forums to report problems to developers in order to legitimately increase my count without having to spam threads I don't care about, you'll have to copy and paste the link to get the update package.

Lol, too little too late for me.
Ok it installed on Garwynn's CWM but it didn't install the modem. Is that your results also? Won't install with OUDhs either. Gives error 7. I can confirm that root works without knoxagent installed. That is runny really. We find out right away that knox was causing the security warning. But since the kernel was so widely talked about as being the killer of root we completely overlooked knox as being more than just the alert Thanks for figuring that out.
Edit: Also installs on Agat's recovery but doesn't install the modem.
Edit Again: Ok just as an FYI this no longer is an issue. Chainfire has done it again. His latest SuperSU 1.30 fixes the root issues on MDL. You can use the stock kernel and leave knox alone.

Awesome! Glad to hear it's fixed. Not sure why the modem didn't install. I didn't get any errors on my device after taking out the patches for My Files and KNOXAgent, as both were missing on my system. I'll try restoring back to MDC and updating to SuperSU 1.3 to test it.

I was going to ask an annoying question.... but decided it was annoying and did a search. here is what I found in the difference between SuperUser and SuperSU and SuperSU Pro ($2.49). Reference: http://android.stackexchange.com/qu...ruser-from-chainsdd-and-superuser-from-clockw
SuperSU improves everything about Superuser and adds more options. The free version offers faster notifications, there is possibility of disabling them for each app and a new interface, attractive and easy to handle. In addition, according to developer claims by using SuperSU you’ll enjoy higher speed from the apps that require root rights, especially on Android 4.0+. The paid version called SuperSU Pro provides the opportunity to keep root rights after a system update, which usually cancels these rights. Although the method is not guaranteed the option is very useful. We have password protection and advanced log configuration settings for each application.
You might also want to read SuperSU Brings Better SuperUser Root Permission Management to Android. Quoting from that article:
SuperSU is basically SuperUser on steroids. According to the developer, it “allows for advanced management of Superuser access rights for all the apps on your device that need root.”.
Edit: ::FacePalm:: What ever you do. Do not uninstall SuperUser after you install SuperSU. You will loose Root. LOL (Hey at least I can laugh at myself.) I am not worried about it yet... I know I will get it back eventually.
Edit 2: After reading the OP, all you have to do if you have TWRP Recovery installed is do the OTA, your update will install and you will automatically reboot into TWRP.
Go to Mount first and mount System.
Go to back to home and select Advanced.
Go to File Manager. NOTE: This can be very frustrating! Use BACK and Sort Options to reset Sorting if it keeps doing things you don't want it to do. Also (Up A Level) is handy. If you are on "/" directory, touch Sort Descending: Name and you will see System. Select Sysytem.
Now Sort Ascending you will see App. Select App.
Gentally and slowly Swipe down in the middle to reach Knox. I found 2 files. Select one at a time and delete them.
Reboot
Then rerun Motochopper Root method.
I am on Stock MDC still. So if you are on MDL I am not sure if this would work. Now follow the directions that I failed to see when you install SuperSU.
Install SuperSU. Open SuperSU and make sure SU binary is switched from SuperUser to SuperSU. Once you do that you can remove SuperUser.
Edit 3: Once you check to make sure SuperSU has Binary after a reboot... SuperSU will remove SuperUser for you. No need to do anything.
After all said and done... I am thinking that the TWRP stopped the OTA from installing. I have been extremely busy with work, so no time to read XDA lately has been stopping me from keeping up to date. I just need more time in the day.

Well, crawrj.. I just rawly patched the modem.bin with the modem.img.p, and the baseband version and such still hasn't increased. My software version and baseband version are still showing MDC, while build number is showing MDL. The weird thing about it is the kernel also updated from its original. How does the modem not update when it's being directly flashed onto the partition? Trying to get all of my stuff over to MDL, if that's what it's supposed to be. It has the new boot sound and such, but the inconsistent version numbers make me hesitant that the update fully applied.

There is some kind of write protection of security that locks the modem down. I have tried 100 different ways of installing the modem and can't. It looks like the official installs are the only ones that work. So right now the ota is the only way to get the modem. But I am sure we will get it figured out in time.

Well, that sucks. I guess I will give up trying to flash it for now. Already removed KNOXAgent again and dropped faux's kernel on here. It's showing my build as MDL, so at least I don't get pestered by the update message.
aww come on lol too late for me too. I went through hell rooting my phone when i upgraded to MDL. I flashed the stock rom like 3 times before getting my phone rooted and the last piece of the puzzle were the knox files. Instead of deleting the files i froze them using the system tuner off from the playstore after i installed shabbat's custom kernel.
Do we know of a way to avoid all these run arounds to root on MDL by keeping the stock kernel and without removing knox???

I think there are a few posts in the development sections that will help out with getting root on MDL. If it were me, I would just pull the SuperSU apk and unzip it. Grab the su binary out of there, push it to /system/xbin/, and then install SuperSU on the phone once it restarted. Now, I can't confirm that works... because I haven't had to get that dirty with rooting my phone. Motochopper worked perfectly fine when KNOXAgent was removed, so it should work if you have KNOXAgent frozen too.

wanna make sure I understand this right. I'm gonna flash this no knox update on top of forcesrom (which has knox removed), I should be ok right? but the modern still not install this way, is that correct? and I won't be able to update my modem until a new method comes out. do I got it all right? thanks!:what:

That's apparently right, for now. I'm working on figuring out why the MDM partition won't flash. I tried to patch the files manually, as mentioned previously and here, but it seems that it didn't flash as the baseband didn't change?
Hopefully figure it out soon.
Getting E:Error in /external_sd/OTA 5-13-2013 (No Knox Agent), Status 7. Any advice?
Hey,
Wondering if somebody could help me out. I purchased a Telus HTC Desire 510. The bootloader has been unlocked, TWRP installed, SuperSU root access. I installed Titanium Backup. I uninstalled system software such as Twitter, Facebook, services etc, and have noticed that when I restart the phone, the software comes back.
Can someone explain to me why the O.S. is doing this? It's Android kitkat. I have noticed in any file manager that it defaults to and emulated folder etc //sdcard/emulated. Also thinking it might have something to do with HTC software pre-installed //dumby proof backup software? In the past on any Android device, after unlocking and rooting I've never had this problem. Starting to fumble me...
Thanks

Hi, unfortunately I cannot help you at the moment but I will try to look up your problem. In the mean time, can you please create a stock backup from your ROM and make it available. This would be very helpful for many of us how are working on the VM / Sprint version of this device. Thanks in advance.

Hey,
Thanks for the reply. I created a backup with TWRP, approx. size 2.5GB unzipped in a folder a few days ago. I will try to get it online /zipped/compressed I geuss to a reasonable size.
I do see your VM/Sprint roms available. Unsure whether to try them as it's a different carrier? Telus runs on GSM LTE 4 1700/2100Mhz band 4. Could always revert back but I don't want to wreck the phone.
A great little phone. Still very new.
I see some roms say ''write protection removed'. Would this have something to do with the stock software coming back on boot? Ie . facebook etc. I always assumed having SU rights basically removes write protection. Who knows.

Since there is no S-OFF for this device, you'll need a kernel with write-protection removed... That's why the apps you remove keep reappearing upon reboot.

Thanks for the response. I went ahead and flashed the Cricket kernel on the device and it worked. Being a Telus device it seems to make no difference. I will check and make sure 4G LTE still works - if the kernel even has anything to do with it?
Glad this worked as there is a tonne of garbage on these phones that I'd like to get rid of. I might go ahead and try a custom rom - with the HTC software removed - as it seems to cause some issues when removing (htc software) from Titanium Backup.
Question as I'm curious- has anyone figured out a way to unlock the governor for the CPU/GPU. I think this config would be a prime candidate to mild overclocking.

Hi, I do not think so, but I am not 100% sure. So far, for Cricket Kernel with Write Protection Removed v1.0, Ondemand was set as default governor and all Stock Governors was Enabled.

The TELUS device is GSM, so likely the Cricket Kernel with write-protection removed will help you. Look under Android Development for it.
Sorry all.. realized this was a solved thread.
Did you install a Write Protect removed Kernel/image? That could be the reason. By the way, would you happen to have a TWRP stock backup that you make available for us? We're trying to get the VM/Sprint variant running on a GSM network, but so far we have not been very successful.

Would really love to know if there's anything available for this model. I see the metro and t-mobile versions have a few things. But this one's been left to rot?
And also on another note, if anyone has worked on it. Or tried to, have you gotten a "secure boot error" followed by a "1003 error" code?
Any information or directions to threads or anything will be gladly appreciated.
I have the Boost Mobile Tribute 2 (ls665) and I flashed the Leon's TWRP via TWRP Manager and now instead of booting into recovery, I get the 1003 secure boot error. I too would like to see someone do something for the ls665. From what I've read, some models of these phones which share the same hardware don't have the "Enable OEM Unlock" option in Developer Settings, but the ls665 does, or at least mine does.
Mine is rooted with Xposed and no recovery. It would be really nice just to be able to get a working TWRP on it just for the sake of keeping a backup in case I screwed something up I could restore.

How did you manage to get xposed on it without a recovery, if I'm not mistaken you need a recovery for that? correct me if I'm wrong.
And I have the same model, apparently only the metro LG Leon LTE (c50) (another thing, this is the tribute 2?, didn't know that) has a TWRP. But I've tried the same without realizing it. Hmm I wish someone would work on it, it's an overall great phone and I'd love to see new roms or anything for it really.
Another thing, it doesn't seem to have a stock recovery, at least not that i can access, it gives me an odd error now when I do try to get into it. Here's hoping any devs see this or knows a thing or two about it. I'm still pretty new at this.
Here's how you can install Xposed:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/themes-apps/guide-installing-xposed-locked-t3181593/page1
You should be able to install TWRP with the TWRP Manager app from the play store. It has the TWRP version for your model. Mine is a different model LS665 - I flashed the c50 TWRP and it didn't work. I'm hoping someone compiles a version for the Boost LS665 sometime so I can make a backup and try flashing some Leon Roms.

I've tried the twrp manager, c50. Just as you did and it failed.
Hmm, I hope someone does compile a recovery. I really love to try and mod this phone to it's absolute.
Also THANK YOU, for the xposed installer thing. I hadn't known flash fire worked for this phone. I had tried it but I couldn't get past the permissive enforce part. So I held off. But thanks nonetheless.

Umm, so I've gotten around to trying the xposed installer on my lg. And I wanted to ask, I've gotten flashfire, (store one, beta couldn't be obtained). And when I install and open the app, I get a message saying "Root access could not be acquired, or you are not running either superSU or (CM SU with SELinux set to Permissive). Are you root?"
I am rooted, and I have Super Su on, though I can't for the life of me figure out how to set SELinux to Permissive. Any help?
sorry for the noob-ish question, really haven't worked much on LG phones, samsung ones seem easier for me.

Could somebody please attach a stock build.prop or the minfree values that can be found near the very bottom of the build.prop for the Boost Mobile LS665 Tribute 2 ? I modified mine & accidentally deleted the backup and now apps close out like crazy & some won't even open. The minfree values for the Tribute 2 are different from the ones for the Leon, that's why I'm asking in this thread, hopefully somebody with an LS665 will see & be able to help me out. Thanks ?

You'll need a root file browser such as es browser or root explorer, you just navigate to /system/build.prop and then copy it to your sd card and then attach the file to your post in this thread, or you could open the file on your computer and copy/paste the minfrees values which are near the bottom of the text in the file, into your post here. Thanks a bunch, I appreciate it ?
Here you go. Doing it right from the phone because I can't find a micro sd adapter.
Ok I think I got the file attached this time.
Today i bring you the very first rom for our device.
It's only stock, but the installer includes enough options to keep us happy for a while.
The core installation includes a stripped down system menu with Google play and contacts. I also added, by default, the WiFi fix and hotspot mod. The rest of what you install is your choice.
Aroma options:
Choose which J320 you own
Debloat (fully customizable)
Deknox
Install root
Install busybox
Install Init.d
Install Xposed
Bugs:
None
If you find any let me know, but if you do not wipe, please don't even report bugs.

Installation:
Flashfire

This uses the same base files for each room, AQG1. So even tho the highest firmware for J320AG is only AQB1 you still get the July security update (minus the new sboot)
All devices are interchangable for me, on Cricket. Depending on your carrier maybe they'll all work for you too.
I have AT&T Samsung Galaxy Express Prime GoPhone, J320A. Owned it for one week. It has been carrier-unlocked. I'm now using T-Mobile SIM. Seems to work OK. Only issue I can find is where the SIM status page does not show my phone number.
I would appreciate pointers or maybe a place to look for installation steps. I assume I'll to need to root via Kingroot then replace with SuperSU (if possible). Then install FlashFire. I have rooted and installed ROMs on other devices (Galaxy Exhibit, 2012 Nexus tablet, Moto G), but seemingly devices are more locked-down these days. I understand that TWRP is not available for this device and likely will not be.
Last year, I bought a couple of inexpensive T-Mobile phones and "rooted" them with KingRoot which is still installed on those phones. (Not really thrilled about that.) I put rooted in quotes because it doesn't quite behave like a fully-rooted phone, IMO. I'm not very expert in these things, but I know how to follow steps and have used ODIN, TWRP, et cetera.
I'm leery of working with these more locked-down phones. Am I being paranoid and/or incorrect about these matters?
BTW, thanks for the ROM! I'm surprised there aren't more replies.
Maybe this phone is not as popular as I think it should be. Maybe it's too low-spec for the tech-savvy crowd. I got mine for just $64 at Walmart online, but they've since raised the price to $79. Seems like a good deal, even at that price.
I paid $15 to carrier-unlock it. I had to flash firmware (modem file?) before unlocking, then flash another file (restored modem?) after unlocking. I was following emailed instructions after the initial unlock procedure failed.
Here's the root thread
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j3-2016/how-to/root-samsung-sm-j320a-galaxy-express-t3573628
There's a xposed module that does just that, never tried it tho, and of course it's not permanent.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...pp-sim-changer-change-registered-sim-t2106490
I definitely like the phone and yeah, it's a good price.
Being locked does hurt it tho. No easy recovery and no roms from source. The only thing we might get will be ported. And with no kernel, porting is a pain to track down problems... but i like a challenge
My J3 was unlocked out of the box? Still don't quite get the different names for it though. Rooted with infixremix method and worked fi e until its download caused the dialer to crash whenever it was opened. Still trying to sort out the mess I made of this one.

How is this ROM working out?
Can anyone -- or DamienMc, the creator -- post a review of how this ROM is working out? Brief or long; any type of review would be appreciated.
I'm thinking of trying this ROM and I haven't rooted my phone yet.
Although I did unlock the carrier via a paid unlocker site. I'm using it on T-Mobile with no apparent issues. My phone is stock, of course, except for being carrier-unlocked. …Several questions, if I might:
Are those "extra" AT&T and Samsung accounts present? (ref. screenshot)
Are Samsung factory (i.e.: theme-able) dialer, messaging, and contacts apps installed?
Is it still possible to theme the UI with the Samsung theme installer?
Finally, which bloat icons have been purged? (ref. screenshot) I realize one's idea of bloat may vary from individual.
Any feedback or commentary is welcome. Thank you for your consideration.
could it work on J320H?

I'm not going to review it (someone else can)
But I used it heavily before I started work on something new.
It's as stable as stock... cause it is stock Nothing tweaked just the few add-ons to let you tweak it easier.
About the bloat.
I did notice I should have left Samsung account (and maybe billing) with the standard install. Because you can't use the theme store without them. But they're in 'bloat'.
You can always install all the debloat options and have 100% deodex stock and edit to your liking.

How do we flash this to our device mainly because twrp and cwm ain't a thing for the j320a. Also I'm using kingroot and I cannot go to su I've tried also flashify does not work either does flashfire how would you go about rooting with su cause I've tried the mrw method and contanstaly it would pop up kinguser has stopped working so do you have another method of rooting the J320A. I just followed the first post about rooting it.

After mrc and kinguser crashes you should have supersu. You need to run that first, let it update the files and then reboot.
If su doesn't even get installed, have the apk ready and install.
Another thing you should make sure your really rooted, reboot after king and recheck.
Also what versions of kingroot and mrw are you using?

I followed the rooting thread OP directions carefully and had many problems. My initial Kingroot was really ugly and heated the phone. I then attempted to use SuperSU-Me Pro (paid version). It was never able to complete, even after several tries. I struggled using various techniques over many hours. (I did have root with Kingroot.) Nothing would remove Kingroot 5.0.5, and as you probably know, Kingroot won't allow for many apps such as Flashfire. Very frustrating. I probably shortened the life of my phone and battery with all the crap I tried. Many pulls of my battery were needed.
I finally wrested control from Kingroot by uninstalling version 5.0.5 and installing Kingroot 4.5 instead. Then SuperSU-Me Pro did its work. Had I used Kingroot 4.5 from the outset, would things would have gone better? I don't know. The rooting process for this phone is a one-way trip with a dubious outcome. I know the Express Prime is not costly, but if you're risk adverse think twice before trying to root. I suppose you can undo the whole thing, but I haven't tried and likely will not.
Despite the problems I had, I believe using SuperSU-Me Pro was worth the cost and ultimately saved time. I'm glad I rooted my phone, but -- damn, it was a lot of effort compared to previous phones and my tablet.
I have not tried the de-odexed ROM posted in this thread's OP, but it's on my to-do list. I'm kind of afraid of messing with my phone for the time being. I'll post a review if and when I try it out.
For what it's worth, I wasn't able to get my built-in flashlight toggle to work. I ran the fix script via flashfire with no success. Update: Fixed after installing Busybox. Thanks, DamienMc!

Could you please tell the name of the service/company you used to carrier-unlock it ? (I'm in the same situation) Thanks! @danny8
