Lately, my G1 has been switching to edge speeds while I connect to the net. On occasions, the signal also dies (No Bars at all). This has been happening for about a week now. It's never happened before, anyone know the issue?
Also, I've been having issues with my text messages being sent 3 times when I send 1.

I should feel like a tool.....
The other day, I turned off 3G via CommManager and I guess I didn't really realize I had done it - I have no reason to care if I am on "H" all the time or 3G or whatever. I didn't even pay attention to turning it off.
Over the past couple of days, I have noticed my reception at 3 bars, sometimes 4 bars.
I was surfing the Internet and noticed that my "H" was not showing and the speeds had been really SLOW.... so I messed with it for about 3 hours and then looked in CommManager and saw that 3G was off. I turned 3G back on and the "H" appears, speeds are great and the reception in the house is back to 1 bar.
This "one bar" has been a mystery to me and ATT for about 6 months. Now, I know what is causing it.
Hopefully someone else can benefit from this mistake / error / fix.
For the last three days (since Monday really), I'm experiencing random data drop outs on my Nexus One running CM6. for reference, I'm using the 4.06 radio
This is a new issue, just started Monday. I'm in an 3G area - normally when I fire up a data connection, the indicator goes from 3G to 'H'. But when the issue presents itself, it alternates between H and 3G.
But nowadays, randomly, data just *stops* working..normally for a few minutes at a time. If I enter and exit Airplane mode, it seems to go back to working.
Anyone experiencing something similar? Also, the issue is appearing at different parts around Portland Oregon - in locales miles away form each other (like 20 miles away).
I'm on T-Mobile. This issue has never happened before Monday - for me, T-Mobile's data network has been rock solid in the areas I frequent.
I'm on T-Mo in Washington, and was seeing similar probs.
I think T-Mo may be doing some maintenance?

well, it's nice to know I'm not alone. ..it keeps happening with more frequency today and is starting to tick me off.
anywho - what part of WA are you in?

Been happening the last few weeks for me too (CM6 and MIUI), luckily I had my regular GPS.
Restarting, flight mode, 2G, alternate APN...nothing brings back data. Probably a network issue like the above poster mentioned.
Trying to work out whether I have an issue with my One, my sim card or the network...
WHenever I use wifi I have no issues with connectivity and data speeds. However, when I am using 3G/H (I don't have LTE/4G) the speeds are painfully slow and often nothing loads. This happens both in my place of work (Central London) and at home (North West London). I'm not sure whether it has always affected the phone, I think so. I am on T-mobile/EE and the issue doesn't change whether I have one bar of signal or five bars of signal. I downloaded the SpeedTest app to check what was happening and it seems that it can't even do the initial 'ping' to the server.
I plan on checking another sim in my phone, and my sim in another phone to try and narrow down the possible errors but was wondering whether anyone here has had any similar issues. I'm currently on my fourth One (1 and 3 - misaligned screens, 2 - dead pixels) and I am really hoping that I don't need to get this one repaired/replaced now. Hopefully someone has some good news!
Thanks in advance!
With Verizon I started to have drops in signal all together and rarely could connect to 4g. I went and activated a sprint account and it first things seemed fixed. Now 24 hours later my phone will not connect to 4g even though signal monitors show a LTE connection, I have to force a 3g connection to have internet. This is happening in areas with great 4g coverage for both providers. Would you consider this a defective phone? Has anyone else experienced these issues? Any help would be great both Verizon and sprint seem to be at a lost about what's causing this.
I'm currently running a stock rooted kitkat note 3 as my daily driver for working at home. Recently I've noticed missing calls, calls not going through, and also text messages not going through despite having plenty of signal both on wifi and on cell. The s7 edge I have has none of these problems in the same place. Turning off wifi on my note magically fixes the issue and suddenly texts have no problem being sent again. Keeping wifi off isn't a viable solution though. I've also noticed that there is some type of handoff that is occuring between 4G LTE and 4G (as indicated by the notification bar). I'm seeing the icon periodically go back and forth between the 4G icon and the 4G lte icon. Signal strength on both looks ok too. I've flashed NC2 and OC1, as well as some other ROMs and the issue persists.
Anyone have some ideas for me to try? (i'm out of them on my end).
I highly recommend this ROM:
