Or, is this the Eclair source?
--Edit--
I just read that the i9000 source code was pulled from Samsung's site. I guess that means what's out there now is Eclair.

Looks like the Froyo source code for the I9000 has been re-posted to Samsung's open source website.
Okay, first of all: mods, you can delete or move this post at your discretion. I'm just curious to see who's seen this.
Anyway, I've been looking around for some hope of running AOSP/CM on my Vibrant, and I stumbled upon Samsung's Open Source directory with the SGH-t959 being one of the devices with open sourced components. Me being excited, I downloaded the source, and sure enough, has components we might find necessary: 3d_module_GPL.tar.gz, Kernel.tar, and Platform.tar. Although the platform sources are meant to overwrite AOSP 2.1-update1 and the Kernel source is 2.6.29, I'm thinking we can somehow use these to hopefully be able to build ROMs for the Vibrant.
So, what do you guys think?
Samsung droped that source code like two months ago. Most of the stable 2.1 ROMs are because the devs already used what they needed from that code.
Ahh, thanks for the clarification. Makes so much more sense now.
Mods, delete?
I have seen discussion on JF6, JI6, JH7 etc, but unable to find a consolidated source where I can find what each one means, the differences and release notes.
I am forced to believe that JI6 is Froyo?
Hello. I don't know if this is the correct forum to post my question (I would rather put it in the Android Development section) but as I don't want to contaminate the quality of that forum with (maybe) stupid questions, I will ask here. If a moderator feels it's not the right place, please feel free to movemy post wherever.
I started building Galaxy Note's (N7000) ICS kernel following the Howto from here XDA forum.
I am looking for the JB Kernel source at samsungs website but couldn't find it. Just ICS and GB versions. Where do the developers get the JB kernel source from?
I also would like to integrate CWM recovery on my kernel build, but couldn't find any info/howto/tutorial.
I guess I have to integrate the sources found at https://github.com/ClockworkMod/www.clockworkmod.com with the kernel. Could someone point me in the right direction?
I have Linux experience and had build custom kernels for my own computers, so that, linux batch scripting, C/C++ is no problem.
Thank you very much in advance.
