Last night I restarted my phone by power cycling it. I help the button and pressed turn off, waited for a few seconds and held the power button to turn it back on.
When it started again all my apps were gone, everything except the basics like Contacts, Calendar, Camera, Clock, Settings. Even all of the stock Samsung stuff had disappeared too. All my contacts are gone as well as my gmail account settings.
Weird thing is that my bookmarks in the browser, my wifi settings and apn settings are all still there, as well as my alarms and call settings/sound settings.
I had installed OCLF and it was working fine and I even reset my phone a couple of times. I haven't done anything else besides that. Anybody have any ideas? I don't have a SD Card either.
Edit: Thought I should add that I am running the 2.2 that was released a couple days ago. The official one. Thanks ^.^

Phone is AT&T htc one that has not been updated yet and is un-rooted. Ok so i know there was a thread before about this, but there was no real solution. The phone home screens are fine but every app i open even ones that do not normally do so open in landscape mode. Yes i have turned on/off auto rotation, yes i have re-calibrated the g-sensor, have reset it, and lastly tried uninstalling several apps just in case.
*** also now it will not charges and says to use the supported charger when i am using the exact same charger that came with the box. i have had this phone for several months and do not know why this is occurring.
So if anyone could please help me fix it without Factory resetting it i would be very grateful
SO I've had my Live for 2 days and it's been fine until now. It's been tonight when I found this forum and played a bunch with the phone, now it's got a problem. I turn the watch off, and now it vibrates constantly. What I've done between yesterday and today:
Turned Developer options on, and enabled ADB Debugging
Installed a bunch of apps, found in a thread on here
Turned the phone off and the vibrating starts.
What I've tried:
Turned the debugging off, no change
Sync'd the apps from phone to watch - no change.
Has this problem been found / reported / fixed anywhere?
Thanks

Did you install an app that makes the watch vibrate when it gets too far from the phone? I have one installed, the only thing is, the watch doesn't know if you're disconnected from the phone because the phone is powered off or because you're too far away so it will vibrate. Depending on which version of the app you installed (I have seen a few) it could be vibrating non-stop, the one I am using only vibrates briefly.
Maybe try a factory reset on the watch? It only takes a couple of minutes to get it set back up anyway.

No I didn't install any app for that purpose. Last night I tries to get around the issue by plugging it into the charger, then turning it off, and that worked.
This morning it appears to be behaving. I turned it off while the phone was out of range, and it was okay. Then tried it again when it was re-connected, and again, fine.
So perhaps it was a gremlin last night, who knows? But now it's working okay.
So the problem is whatsapp turned grey in the start screen for no reason, as it's been working the whole day. I've tried restarting a couple of times, but no success so far. Any ideas how to solve it?
Try to start it from the Apps screen not ur HS. If that also cannot be done, uninstall it, then reinstall it again.
I went to turn my phone off (VZ Edge 6) and up popped a "Going into Safemode" alert. When I turned it back on again, I was indeed in safe mode.
So I restarted normally.
It said safe mode was off but all my third party apps were hidden. Both on the home screens and the tray.
I was able to go to the play store and see they were installed and open them that way.
I went into the bootloader menu and tried restarting normally about three times.
Also, I went in and wiped the partition (a trick that worked when my fast charging/regular charging quit working).
No luck.
I did some searches on this and most of the trouble issues said "Your volume down button is stuck". It didn't seem to be.
In the end, I started deleting my apps and reinstalling. So I'm ok now, but I essentially did a poor man's-factory reset.
I did note that as I deleted a handful of apps, the apps reappeared-- so maye it was an issue with Safe-Mode ON, Safe-mode oFF + some glitchy 3rd party app.
Anyway, wondering if others have encountered this.

Yep, same happened to me. Your apps are still there. The tray still has them, but they are off to the right. Just re-sort A-Z and you'll see them all again. You will have to add them back to the home screen though.
