TyTn II witho no OS, what do I do? - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

Hi!
I have an old HTC TyTn II that runs on Android. The android installation is corrupt, and I have no version of Windows Mobile installed underneath. How can I flash the HTC with a version of WM without getting it into some sort of OS?
I really hope someone can help me with this =)
Arvid

Put it into bootloader flash WM ROM either by SD or Sync.

Thank you so much!
I had a feeling that it would be really easy =)

Glad it's sorted.
Always Hard Reset (a.k.a Clear Storage) after flashing a ROM.
The best time to do this is at the "Tap to Begin Customisation" *, just after flashing the new ROM (*or whatever that screen says).

reinstalling shipped rom on tytnII

hi all, i must say that i really tried to search the solution but all i got
were referring flashing for cooked rom or if i had cooked rom and want to go back to the original.
i had to hear your opinion
as bought my htc tytnII with wm6.0, i went to htc support site and upgraded to official 6.1 os
(HTC TyTN II - Windows Mobile® 6.1 Professional Upgrade)
and then i moved to serch heb support, and found installation that run threw the pc.
after the installation i weren't happy with the results, and i even have adv commercial on botscreen.
so i turn to the HR, i thought it will give me again.. fresh start.
but right when he started to configure the system and started restarting
the heb support and the adv was there!
i just want pure start, with no leeching installations that beyond my control.
so im asking if reinstalling the upgrade from the htc site will give me what i seek?
i had to ask, i herd the word brick and got afraid..
although in the downloading screen in htc site it said:
"If it is the same version and your device is operating normally, there is no need to reinstall the software."
thanks in advance,
yaniv
Moved as not ROM Development.
You can reinstall the software from the HTC with no worries. If the rom is not meant for your device, it will not install.
The only way to harm your phone , really , is if your phone is currently running a cooked rom, and you try to flash a rom for another model of phone.
You are going to have bootscreens on every rom, windows screens, HTC screens, carrier screen, they may seem like advertising to you, but they are just normal bootscreens. If you do not like them, there are several threads here on changing and installing custom bootscreens and splash screens.
straight out of the Kasier Wiki.

[Q] Windows Mobile 6.5 AND Android on HTC Tytn 2

I was reading this forum for couple of days, and by now i know that i can install Windows Mobile 6.5 on my HTC Tytn 2 (curently having Windows Mobile 6.1). And i can install android (while still having Windows Mobile 6.1)...
1. But can i install Windows Mobile 6.5 and then install Android (preferably froyo 2.2), so that at the end i have both of those sistems?
2. And if something goes wrong, or i simply dont like one of those, can i remove one of them?
3. Or can i even remove both of them and go back to my wm 6.1?

Hello and welcome to the forum
The answer for all of your question above is :
Yes you can
first you have to realize that only one system can be flashed on your device whether it is Android or Windows Mobile. So, if you want to try both on your kaiser you could flash WM 6.5 to your ROM and install run android on your SD card by using Haret.
and if you want to revert back to WM 6.1, you can always flash your stock WM 6.1 ROM.
Here is some guide that might help you
1. How to flash
[Resources] Flashing Your First Kaiser Rom (For Noobs)
2. How to install android on your SD card
how to install with atools and haret
you can download atools and its requirement here :
Atools: all android tool you need
3. Where you can find stock WM 6.1 ROM
- download from official HTC website
- or search here http://shipped-roms.com/shipped/Kaiser/
follow all the steps on each guide carefully and good luck
Than you very much.
hie,
my friend have HTC Kaiser he also want to install android on his kaiser any one tell me that android on kaiser run perfectly means all functions work perfectly or not? & he can install android on kaisers device memory?

I don't have experience with flashing smartphones, I quit flashing while I was using old SE. If there is anyone who could help me with flashing back to WM from android, please do. I have RUU rom WM 6.1 I'd like to use, but android phone won't connect via activesync.

Try using the sd card method. copy Kaiser CustomRUU.exe and RUU rom WM6.1 on the formatted FAT32 sd card and put in TRI color mode and see whether it works or not.
Or, install czech language pack for android? afaik if your android is stable, it's far more usefull then winmo 6.1 could ever be.
