do you have the proper radio and spl? if not, flash the radio first so you don't turn your phone into a paper weight.

Did you wipe before flashing? How is your sdcard partitioned?
I am running the Modaco Stock ROM Kitchen "10/May ERD79 -> EPF21B - Stock ROM for Nexus One images / zip / online kitchen (optional root / insecure / himem)":
http://android.modaco.com/content/google-nexus-one-nexusone-modaco-com/300414/10-may-erd79-epf21b-stock-rom-for-nexus-one-images-zip-online-kitchen-optional-root-insecure-himem/
- ROM = Stock EPE54B
- BOOT = SuperBoot with Himem
- RECOVERY = Amon_Ra's Nexus One Recovery 1.7
- The FROYO 2.2 OTA will work automatically ?
- Do I have to go back to the STOCK Recovery image ?
- Do I have to go back to the STOCK Boot image ?
- If I get the OTA can I save it as OTA.ZIP and then from the Amon's Recovery do Update from Zip ?
Thanks
No need to spam MoDaCo AND xda...
From what I understand you will NOT get the ota if you have a custom recovery. We will have to wait until the .zip file is out and flash it from SD like every other rom.
you will get it with amon ra but won't be able to flash.
I'm tired of all these froyo threads.

I followed the instructions in the following thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=614850
And after the installation I got Build ERD79 (original shipping ROM), almost immediately I got the OTA update to 2.1-update 1 and now my device has the build ERE27 (official update).
That means if you go back to Stock ROM and Recovery, the OTA process should work fine.

So will we be able to flash the official update.zip once it is posted with the custom recovery or would we have to revert back to flash it all together?
I've seen some say yes and some say no.
Thanks!

How are you flashing the recovery.....flash it through fastboot...
fastboot flash recovery [recovery.img]

Sent from my Legend using XDA App
have been using ra recovery forever and in a dumb moment loaded clockwork recovery. When I wanted to revert to an older rom I was surprised to see that all the backups and roms are gone and not showing on clockwork. Is there a way to get rid of clockwork and will ra recovery be there with all data or is there a spot where all the backups and roms are in the clockwork program
thanks
Just reflash the recovery you want with fastboot.
The WIKI on Cyanogenmod's site for the G1 says that Clockwork Recovery has issues with the G1 due to limited memory. Is this still the case, or is it safe to use Clockwork instead of Amon Ra now?
they are both safe. Amon ra has a better menu but in my case the nandroid in amon ra wont restore my backups. clockwork works fine plus you can use rom manager.
My Preference is Amon RA, I had problem with Clockwork Recovery, nanodroid works well for me. I use Amon RA.
I use clockmodwork 3 (Alpha version by Roalex), because I test roms often and it does not check for the signature of a zip on default. Plus, Clockmodwork recovery 3 is the only recovery available for the HD2, so I use that also because I am most familiar with it.
Clock work works pretty good for me!
