Just download the .net 3.5 cab. Search for it, it's everywhere on this forum. Install it and cookie should work.

CHT requires Sense 2.5. The best way to get CHT is to burn a ROM for it, either with Sense 2.5 or with CHT already burned in.
thanks to both of you but how do i go about burning a rom with sense 2.5 on it

You can either get an official ROM from AT&T, if they've done one with Sense 2.5 (sorry I don't know). Or you can HardSPL your phone (see the sticky thread) and use one of the custom ROMs from this forum (just take a look, there are loads with Sense 2.5, including ones with CHT already cooked in). Details of how to flash a custom ROM are in one of the sticky threads.
Edit - I just did a quick search, and I couldn't find details of any official AT&T ROMs with 2.5, so I don't think that's an option (unless another Tilt 2 owner can provide some info to the contrary).
sweet! now if i flash my rom can i flash it back to the stock rom if i have to do a warranty swap or something. and where exactly can i find the built roms? i also looked in the my first rom flash for noobs and it said some thing about the model id or something that if its a world phone i can use that hardspl or something?
You can flash back to stock for warranty return, yes, you just need to get hold of a copy of the stock ROM for that (which should be easy). You'd also need to un-do HardSPL and reflash the stock SPL (again, not hard).
The built ROMs are all in this forum ! You'll see lots of threads with details about them, they're the ones with all the square brackets in their names, showing you the OS version, Sense version, any other add-ons (like Cookie/MaxSense/etc) and so forth.
If your phone is a Tilt 2 then it's a GSM phone and you need to use the HardSPL/radios/ROMs in this forum. The "worldphone" that that bit is referring to is the CDMA phone which uses different stuff. This can be confusing since the term "worldphone" can be used to mean different things. If you take out your battery, then the model number will be written near the serial number, it will be I think "RHOD300" for a Tilt2.
how would i un hardspl? also thanks for all the help is there any way i can add you to a friends list if i have any other questions?
There are instructions in the HardSPL thread about how to re-flash the stock SPL.

You are correct. The stock AT&T ROM came with TF3D, and given AT&T's history that's the ROM it will die with.
the-new-guy, please see mskip's great thread on flashing here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=550540 Even though I'm not exactly a noob, I still referred to the instructions there before flashing my Tilt 2 for the first time.

Hi all,
I have a AT&T Tilt with radio 1.27.12.11 as default. I followed the instructions on how to unlock and install custom ROMS on the phone. I have installed dutty's rom for now.
I found this video:

If you jump to 3 minutes in, does anyone know what ROM this is to get this interface? I would like this interface. The video author does not seem to mention it
Thanks!

Pretty much all new ROMs contain M2D take a look @ the Kaiser ROM Development and read the first page of the ROM thread then if your going to flash read more so you can know how to solve any issues that may have already been covered.
try to avoid the 6.5 hybrids due to some bugs between outlook/exchange that haven't been resolved yet. If you don't need email access then I recommend AthineOS's newest M2D release a couple days ago, Fast and stable with that 1 minor exception. I see this bug in other 6.5 releases.
you can always search out the manilla2d thread in the general forum I believe it is.. I am using a Kaiser rom by -G- that did not come with it preinstalled so I Was able to choose my interface & set it up myself using the v22 m2d instead of the v18 that most of the roms still contain.. I Dont think you even need to flash your rom to add m2d if you just install the cabs, someone will correct me if I am wrong, but I believe manilla2d is just a kick anus today screen plug in..
Hi Guys
Ive done a search but cant find anything specific so im starting a a new thread.
I have a Touch HD which I got through Orange UK.
Rom version sis: 1.19.61.1 WWE
At the moment im told that I cant receive any updates directly from the HTC site and orange dont really seem to care about offering a good after service.
So my option is to flash my phone with a new ROM, however which version to go for is my biggest question and I really dont have any idea. I understand the flash proceure. WIll any ROM allow updates from HTC site?
Thanks
Craig
hi
i also have a uk branded orange touch hd
i flashed it with the latest official rom from htc (the one that needs a serial number to download and the orange serials dont work)
just use a serial provided in the offical rom upgrade thread to download the rom from htc and use uspl 2.5 to flash it
i used uspl 2.5 to upgrade the rom
all info can be found using the search fuction on this forum
i also made a dump of the phone before i flashed it, just need someone to rebuild the .raw files to a flashable rom
hope this helps
math
Nice one Math, that helps a lot! Will give this a go over the weekend.

Ok, where do we start? Which ROM you choose is really a bit like asking what car should I choose to buy. The choice is entirely yours based on what you want and what you like.
I think the first question to ask yourself is what do you want? What Windows Mobile OS do you want? WM6.1, WM 6.1 with Touch flow, WM 6.1 with the latest version of Touch flow or WM 6.5 Beta. I'm sure there are more but lets keep it simple.
WM 6.1 or 6.5? HTC Touch Flow or not? What is your native language as you have nothing set in your profile etc?
May I suggest you have a look through the first few posts of each of the ROM threads for this month and see what takes your fancy. If you ask ten people you will get ten possibly different answers.
Look at peoples signatures and see what most people use as most display what current ROM they are using. Maybe try a few, but I suggest use the safest route and follow the instructions to the letter.
Its always a matter of personal opinion but I like Duttys current WM6.1 with TF3D XT3. It's the latest and well tested with fewer bugs than the stock ROM from HTC (IMHO) and is based on the latest technology from the next gen HTC phones.
Do your research and enjoy!

Yes, the choose is your, but as an Orange user myself. I was bored with the official HTC Orange Rom and decided to flash my rom. Did manage to keep the back up on original rom in cause of warranty reason. I have try quite a lot of cook rom the only problem I had was mainly with battery life wasn’t good and will not last for a day or so. Since with this rom, HD|ROM||WWE|| ** EnergyROM HD Series 21042 - Final Topaz Manila ** || Build 40909 || man!! The software and battery life is incredible. Yes I would recommend to you

where did u get this rom from? link?
couple of newbie questions. I also have orange phone ...
If I upgrade to the latest HTC rom will I loose all my programs installed in the phones memory?
Will I loose my programs/they stop working (e.g. Tomtom) that have been reigstered with the phone (in add/remove programs) on my memory card?
Can I restore everything from a backup (sprite) ?
Is there any way of goign back to the older ROM if I need to send my phone back for warranty reasons?
Thanks

Will my sprite backup restore all programs and settings to the new rom version?
How can I backup my existing ROM? I'm guessing the official ROM is a HSPL?

USPL and HSPL these are different method of putting new ROM to your phone.
you will find more information in here:

with this method you can get a backup of your current ROM

Thanks again. I never thought it would be so complicated. I thougth someone would have created a GUI for this stuff, its amazing what they have GUI's for these days and this is still command line.
Still unsure as to wether I can restore my sprite back up after going to 1.56 rom though. With the amount I have installed its probably not worth the effort for now.
This is probably an obvious answer kind of question, but I am super new so bear with me!
Can I get Manila 2.5 on my CDMA TP? Does it require a flash? I've never flashed before!

You can find cabs for the Manila 2.5 to allow you to add it to your rom that you are using like the other Manila. You can use the search in the formus to allow you to find them. Good luck.
ive benn having trouble adding the mania cab to my rom it does not show up im using ervius package creator
go to the ROM development section. My best bet, just flash your TP to a new ROM
I just flashed my first ROM and it's easy and definitely worth it; just follow the directions in the CDMA section carefully.
I tried to DL the cab but it always fails on installation. Says that I dont have the specifications.
I have a major problem right now.
i wanted to get co0kies home tab on my TP2
but i think that something screwed up..
i followed this tutorial for manila / sense 2.5

i did everything it told me to.
exact the way it told me.
after installing sense 2.5.2012.cab i've got this problem..
the language changed to english ( was on dutch )
and now i have this..
everything is wrote in capslock, and has IDS_ infront of it.
example: IDS_INTERNET, IDS_MUSIC_LIBARY, IDS_TWITTER, IDS_SETTINGS
etc etc
how do i fix this?
please help me fast!
greetings!

i've turned off HTC Sense, and turned on the normal WM GUI, Very simple but works without problems, so i think that i'ts the Sense that isn't working correct..
Maybe there's a way to sort things out on your phone right now, but I think it would be a lot simpler if you flashed a ROM that already had Sense 2.5 and Cookie baked into it. There are plenty of ROMs here that should do that for you, though of course you would need HardSPL first.
The sticky postings about HardSPL and how to flash ROMs are very detailed and explain things well. But if you have further questions on those then you can ask in those threads.
Someone else might come along and tell you how you can fix your Sense 2.5 right now, but that's beyone what I can do myself.
Thank you for your post, i will upgrade my phone to 2.5 with the ROM from HTC.com
Because i have a unlocked phone i can just download this, lol..
after that i might HardSPL.
thanks!

That doesn't have anything to do with whether your phone is unlocked though, you may well find it doesn't work (saying "invalid vendor id", or similar).
The official HTC ROMs will only work on HTC-branded phones for that specific area/region, unless you have HardSPL.
I live in Europe,
I will download the official HTC Rom for Europe Users,
After fixed, i will try to HARDSPL.
what does it means actually?
spl
im no pro but flashing hardspl will allow "unsigned" roms to be flashed. this means roms from htc and "cooked" roms will work on you're phone.
awsome, didn't know that.!
Hey guys, where could I find the latest ROM version for HTC TouchPRO 2 (Rhodium 300) shipped from HTC? I have a Tilt2 from AT&T, is it posible to run this ROM in this phone?
Thanks in advance ...
There are threads on official ROMs here, as well as the "cooked" ROMs. Also check the Wiki, at http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Rhodium/Shipped_Roms
If you install HardSPL, then you can install other official GSM ROMs as well as those official ones specifically designed for your model/carrier/branding.

If he's got a Tilt2, then I don't think the official HTC site will let him download an official HTC ROM, because those are designed for HTC-branded phones.
you can download it here http://www.htc.com/sea/supportdownloadlist.aspx?p_id=250&act=sd&cat=all it will ask for your serial # to download.
There is a problem ...
The problem is that my phone serial number doesn't let me download the ROM, I'm not sure if it's possible to run a ROM from a HTC branded Rhodium 300 on a AT&T Tilt 2, even though they're the same device, and where can I download the ROM without a serial number, because I've been reading the Wiki and there is no post for that device (RHOD300).
Thanks you guys for your answers.

If you have HardSPL, then *any* official *GSM* ROM will work on your device (though you may need to install a cab to map the keyboard). So RHOD100/200/300 ROMs will all work on the Tilt 2. There are links to places to get official ROMs on this forum, try a search.
Did the RHOD100 ROM work for you?
I haven't tried ...
I've been around the Wiki but there's no RHOD300 ROM, and I don't want to try the RHOD100 one because is not the same device, time ago I had trouble doing that with my Kaiser, if anyone knows about a link to a RHOD300 ROM (HTC) it would be much appreciated.
I heard something about an update from Verizon for TouchPRO2 users, hopefully there's one from AT&T in his way ...

Don't count on ATT doing any update. You can run any gsm rhodium rom as long as you have hard spl.

Just to let you know (and anyone else who is interested), I flashed the RHOD100 ROM on my AT&T branded Tilt 2, and it works perfectly. You can download the ROM here: http://rapidshare.com/files/2924648...Radio_Rhodium_4.49.25.17_Signed_Ship.exe.html
It's the OEM unbranded Touch Pro 2 ROM, like I said, no problems what-so-ever with my Tilt 2, I've been using it for a good 2 days now. I wanted the exact same thing you did, and trust me, I'm happy with it! Good luck

Yes, if you flash a generic HTC ROM, then you will need a cab to map your non-generic (i.e. AT&T) keyboard.

In your opinion, between the three types of ROM, which one is more stable? Which one is better? I'm using the Sense 2.1 and it has a couple of bugs with the music tab, and some other that i don't remember right now, but i want to know what to use in order to avoid this little bugs.
To be honest, they all suck. But if you work on them with brain, all of them can be great. I suggest that you start with the Rhodium S.
Thanks for the advice ...
