Just to say... Thank you!

Hi there!
I know there aren't many women in this forum, usually this type of advanced gadget is "seen" by most as man-only gadget, especially in the country where I live.
Anyways, I come here from time to time to read the news and I am very very impressed with the kind of knowledge you people have, it amazes me the things you have have archieved.
I never thought I would post here because I have nothing to contribute, but I decided to come here and say THANK YOU!
Thank you for offering and sharing with me (and others) this knowledge, keep up the good work!

Ya, i read the guide and used the dutty's rom... i dont know.. i kinda liked it, the background is kinda "manish" but... its a cellphone, lol i wish there was a more of a female theme tho... but its all right!
I noticed it is a lot faster than the one that came with the kaiser so i am happy, I like this kind of things, you know... cellphones and stuff...
I was just a great experience for me, and its being really great.

joga bonita = beautiful game.
they say soccer is a beautiful game.. and i watch lot of soccer.. sure is better than watching basketball or football. i still dont undertstand my friends fasination with NFL... it honestly bores me to death.

Not to sound sexiest, But I'm glad you posted, women should be more interested in science and math and technology. But Societies shun that and push women into role of homemaker and if you want a job, become and English Teacher or something. I've found women often times can solve complex problems faster than men with the same skill set, simply because their mind works differently.

Hi Tseten, actually no... in Brazil we only speak portuguese, a lot of people are trying to study spanish because of the "mercosul", but well... I have some doubts if mercosul is really doing any difference for our economy...

Somehow I am quite different from most people, I like technology, I like games and computers and cellphones. I was an user of the old Palm Treo, not a long ago I had a 680 that I absolutely loved. But then I saw the HTC Touch, with MSN! then I thought "OMG!! It has MSN!!", I am a heavy MSN user, i consider myself a chatterbox lol....
Then I started asking people about PDAs, and I decided to buy a Kaiser, it was kinda buggy and it never really worked the way I wanted, but at least I could play some of my favourite games from the Palm (think astraware). Then I found this forum and after installing dutty's thing MSN worked, so yay! I am Happy.
My opinion is WM lacks the simplicity and the "fast" response of the Palm OS, however WM is a lot more advanced and it has a lot more resource than the old palm. So I am still trying to perfect my skill...
Anyways, I don't know if women are better or worse than man, but we are surely different in some aspects especially when it comes to the cognitive approach...

I do not have lots of ideas I just think that the user interface is not really appealing... For me it would be best if there was a way to really customize WM so we could have the programs categorized in a different way other than clicking start or pressing the windows button...
It would be nice if there was a way to have all the programs listed on the screen (divided by category), for easier access with the finger, maybe a way to navigate thru the pages using the finger...
And the contact list is always bad, WM should remember the most used phone numbers and just have a simple screen with photos and bigger icons, where you press it with your finger and it just dials...
Think of a bigger icons on the screen, instead of a list (or maybe at least have the ability to change from list view to icon view) and a way to scroll thru pages using the finger, maybe even sort by "most used" and "alphabetical list", just touch and dial, you know?
I believe they should focus more on using the finger other than using stylus, having small icons and small buttons on screen is not really helpful for fast access.
Maybe its only me... Maybe its because I am not really used to this hi-advanced phones, but thats what i think!

There's actually a solution to your feeling about the "today's screen" interface, I felt exactly the same until I had a look into SPB Pocket & SPB Diary, I think they could rock your WM life

Kill me, I don't think android is perfect

actually this isn't just about android, the same **** happens in forms about everything from TV series, movie stars to books and video card manufacturers, who knows.
What happens is whenever I make a post about something negative about whatever is discussed in the forum, everyone wants to kill me. I mean what the ****? Nothing is perfect okay? It’s a sad fact of life, learn to accept it?
It would seem to me that many people here tend to think their awesome magical super multitasking gigantic 6.99in. screen octa-core hyper-fast android phone with 35 home screens 126 gadgets, running a different LWP on each homescreen, customized to the last pixel, rooted even before being produced, quad-led flash and 82mp camera with 10x optical zoom and phase-detect autofocus and optical inferred, ultraviolet, x-ray mode, with photon-multiplying night vision, with built-in light saber, smartphone. Is the most perfect phone ever to be conceived since before the Big Bang, never to be seen again, not in this universe, or any other coming after it, or any other parallel to it, by any intelligence, divine or not, alive or not, carbon based or not, organic or mechanical, conscious or not. Not even the all-powerful all-knowing omnipotent omniscient Yahweh can reproduce, or even conceive its intricate design.
It’s just so sad whenever I post something going against such a belief without repeatedly expressing it was definitely caused by my own stupidity and inability to write my own operating system with machine language from the ground up blind folded one handed on a phone, debugging it, and installing it on the very same phone, without any other device or help. It seems that if I don’t do that, I am not allowed to say anything negative about android or people would try to kill me.
I know you have your explanations, you call it the “constructive criticism” standard. Something like, as I understand it, if I wanted to say something bad about android, I better have a solution for it. So if I don’t have a solution we should just sweep it under the rug and never mention it? Why is that? Cuz someone might get upset? I mean how pathetic? Like does your life’s sole purpose depend on the invincibility of the argument of your phone’s perfect design?
Now let me say something more serious. You shouldn’t find your confidence in your phone, or the brand of your motherboard, or the price of your watch, or the horsepower of your car, or the cup size of your girlfriend. Because all these, one day they won’t be there with you, they all diminish with time. So go find something more worthwhile, so you don’t get mad when people convince you that your phone isn’t perfect.

You make a thread titled "Android is not perfect" and don't give a single reason why it's not perfect. Instead you go insulting those who use the operating system (Which I would hardly call constructive criticism). Yes most of us realize that Android is not perfect. Software will never be perfect. There will always be better and more things to add. Now I agree with you in that some people take the specs of their phone way too seriously but that is not the majority of users.
P.S. It's not just Android people that will get mad if you start insulting. If you go to an Ubuntu forum and telling them that Linux is crap, they will yell at you. Same with an iPhone forum.
Oh and...

I'd rather kill the OP than read that wall of text. I don't think anyone would mind that..

I'll never understand why someone would go to the effort of typing up such a rant and not even bother to make it readable? Isn't the whole point of rants like this to have people read them (and based on the title, incite some kind of argument, it's obvious troll bait)?

Why Android phones suck?????? I'm speaking for all Androids!

So I was frolicking around on YouTube today.
Search Box reads "Destroying Apple Products"
This came up on the search results.
So I said "Why Android phones suck?????
Ok lets see what this Apple / Windows fanboy has to say?"
Opened it up and his arguments were totally invalid.

doesn't mean that it pops up at the same speed rate.
iPhone has yet to gain 4G access let alone 4G LTE.
What kind of goofy can be ok with using a SlowPhone????
I can turn my phone into an iPhone if I wanted to.
Hell we have iPhone launchers and icon packs.
Hell there's even MIUI that makes the iPhone sh*t bricks
with jealousy.
Why would I want to buy an iPhone and get stick with all the limits.
I don't wanna pay $600 for a stupid limited phone with a tiny screen.
Don't wanna pay that type of money for the iPhone 4 when 4S is right around the corner.
And all these law suits that Apple has dropped.
Soon enough I'm gonna be afraid to go to sleep just in case

Amen! I said the same thing in my head. I posted this thread to show people that there are people out there who are trying to find something wrong with Android. And they try to find some of the littlest of things, because that's how petty they are. (And they got shot down)

I know because he said it at the beginning but if you are going to make an "Why Android phones sucks" video.... at least have valid arguments and at least know what you are talking about. And find better things to complain about.
Android compaints: OH MY PICTURES ARE NOT SHOWING UP IN MY INBOX.... BOO HOO HOO....
IOS complaints: I can't send sh*t through bluetooth, I can't customize anything but my wallpaper, my screen is tiny as hell, global warming, my skinny jeans aren't skinny enough, this ios commercial had the word "android" in it, they aren't playing enough Wacka Flacka on the radio, why is God not answering me?, why isn't Apple releasing iDevices faster I'm bored with my 3 month old IOS device, my mom doesn't turn up the heat enough in the basement I live in, I fell off my skateboard and bruised my elbow, ect.

iOS is better than Android. Have you ever tried to open WSJ using 4G on Android? It's too fast! iOS is much better since i can take a shower and eat breakfast before it loads WSJ. Much better.

LOL, i remember when i had the 3GS and i saw a man in a dress and on a kid bike on the street, so i wanted to write a FB status about it. Didn't happen. My 3GS REFUSED to connect to the internet so i had to write it down as a note and post it later on my computer. Thanks for revolutionizing the way we use tech Apple

if you find yourself in the friendzone and you don't want to be in there, then you need to stop acting like you're in there, you need to be physically escalating and doing all the things someone sexually interested would be doing. If she's resisting and giving you the "I'm sorry, we're just friends" bit, tell her something along the lines of "sorry I didn't mean to lead you on and give you the vibe that I wanted to be just friends" <- this is funny because now you appear the one who was leading her on, instead of her leading you on. Granted, this kind of behavior might end your friendship with this person, but in reality do you really want to keep being strung along? My experience with that is its very emotionally draining, it's usually not worth the friendship.
if you legitimately value your friendship with this person and don't want it to end, I would still try to escalate when you can but you need to keep her on the back burner and go date other people that will solve all your problems

I was best friends with the mother of my daughter and son for 2yrs. Then she realized the guy she was looking for, the man who was with her no matter what happened, was right there in front of her. We were friends but she knew I liked her because I asked her out a couple weeks after we met. So I think it's best to tell them in the beginning. But that's just my story.
