HSPL - Touch HD Windows Mobile ROM Development

Hi there everyone ,Now Im going to ask a question im not supposed to ask and
Its prob benn asked a few thousand times before ,and yes I did try the WIki but for some reason it says its down ....so anyway on to the question ?
I need to undo the HSPL and put things back to stock for a short time , the memory card reader seems to be faulty and I need to send it in for repairs but obviously seeing as I HSPl here in SA that voids warranty so is this possible to go back to time before OliNex ..well for a short period anyway
just a link to the appropriate would do ,else if not just a no .
Thanks

You just have to flash your HD with your Original Rom for HD and everything will be back to normal.
You will need to provide more information so that I will try to find your Original Rom.
Where are you from?
What's your Network?

Thank you for your responce
South Africa
Network MTN
If I flash that Ill get the stock rom back .
Will it also replace the Olinex in boot loader .

It will not replace HSPL (this will only work with USPL).
To get HSPL back to normal look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=431217
Bottom of the first post.
Good Luck!

Thank you
Just need to find the SA stock rom and I will run it .

If you have a query regarding HSPL it should be posted in the HSPL thread (where your answer is anyhow).....no need for a new thread
As for location of stock SA rom, not sure, hopefully somebody else would know. We are hoping to get the wiki up and running again shortly

I really am going crazy with this rom flashing stuff. I have read the wiki for 2 days.
I understand I need to CID unlock my phone before I can apply cooked roms. But after countless searches I cant find clear info on how to CID unlock my phone.
This really is a last resort, I have been rading for 2 days with no certainty of what to do next.
Thanks

USPL and HSPL do this for you so you are able to flash a rom or radio. Read this page from wiki. It'll help you understand
Follow cRaCKwHoRe's guide on how to flash (can be found in my signature). If you intend to do a lot of flashing I'd flash HSPL as its permanent whilst USPL is temporary and you'd need to re-use it before every flash to new rom or radio
Latest HSPL can also be found in my signature
Ah excellent thank you so much.
So can I flash straight to the newest 1.56 rom from my current version which is 1.19.61.1WWE on orange?
Or is there a stage in between I would have to do.
Thanks again.

Flashing from one HTC stock rom to another you don't need to use USPL or HSPL. But going to a cooked rom you do.
Answer to your query is it depends on route you take. If you go down the USPL route you'll need to follow cRaCKwHoRe's guide. Would take to long to explain and he as already done a very good tutorial on the subject. If you go down HSPL route, all you need to do is flash latest HSPL then 1.56 rom
That clears everything up. one last thing, which rom would you reccomend? I like the look of the enwer roms with WM6.
Thanks again much appreciated.

I'm currently testing Dutty's V3.4. His V3.3 is already released but I'd wait for the new release hopefully in a few days. Both are based on WM6.1. Alternatively their is so many good roms out there. I'd also recommend Davideuck, EnergyROM & L26_THDV2.2 (Laurentius26). All very good roms by very good cooks. Best thing would be to try each of them and make your own opinion
thanks again mate, you are a legend, Ill post tonight to let you know how it went.

There are a few forms of unlocking but the bottom line is that you need to bypass the checking which is done in the flash process.
One way is permanat as done once no issues anymore - HSPL
Another is as and when you need - USPL.
Wiki has a walk through that needs to be upated but I thought still was useable.
Flash the new 1.56 shipped rom and then move on to cooked roms. (will help you by pass the greenscreen issue)

Sorry to hijack your thread futurama but I am having the same problem. Could you let me know how you did it
Thanks HDuser. Not sure if you know where I`m up to but originally I flashed my Orange 1.19.61.1 ROM with USPL and then flashed Duttys 2.7 1.56 based ROM which has given me the green screen problem. An earlier poster suggested I flash Olinex HSPL 1.54 to cure the problem. The problem I am having now is the phone refuses to sync with the PC. I have tried Vista and XP, the PC does not hibernate or sleep or anything, the phone is set to not switch off. It will usually sync on first connection but after a few seconds it will disconnect and therefore HSPL is reporting as being disconnected.
I have tried the earlier HSPL and HSPL 1.56 (as the ROM in bootloader screen is reported as being 1.56 and SPL is 1.14). I feel I`m going round in circles and its only a matter of time before I brick the phone.
I have read and re-read the wikis but I am now just getting more and more confused.
davemazo
Look the best way to approach any problem is to go back to the roots.
Flash a stock rom, find your own stock rom and refalsh it, then take it from there.
Your post is missleading and I have no idea were to sart. One issue is your PC ist does not Hibanate, not or go into sleep mode, at the saem time you are saying that you can't sync. Sounds like you have other problems and those other problems are making you have problems with your device.
Thanks HDuser. Sorry for confusing you, but I am now totally confused myself, Basically though the phone does not sync with the PC, I have tried 2 PC`s, with Vista and XP.
But back to your point about flashing stock ROM, I have tried a link in the wiki to download the one I need which is Orange 1.19.61.1 but the link seems to be broken and I don`t know where else I can get it. It doesn`t seem to be on the Orange website or HTC.

There is a part on the black stone wiki that mentions I need to CID unlock my phone. It says you need to do this before you can flash roms, I felt it wasn't clear that, all I needed to do was flash HSPL in order to allow me to put new roms on.
This is what I did.
1:Flashed HSPL olinex 1.14.
2:Flashed HSPL Olinex1.56
3:Flashed MIRI WM6.5 10.0WWE
only part I had trouble with, my phone wouldnt let me flash the HSPL at first, I had to use a manual thing that you launch on the device the it lets you flash the HSPL.

It sounds as if you have it sorted now and everything working. As HDUser stated previously HSPL & USPL allows you to bypass the CID lock to enable you to flash new roms

restoring a bricked phone

any ideas.......read all the threads here, nothing works.
i had the 1.7 orange version. hardspl'd it and put a 6.5 dev on there, but radio quality was poor. so followed the procedure to put the stockspl back on there. But nothing else works, I can't restore the original rom (grabbed from here) as the screen stays at 0%. tried to hardspl it again but that doesn't work either.
what do i do now .........?
thanks.
Was restoring the stockspl succesfull?
What info do you get in bootloader?
The info is:
JADE110 64M
SPL-1.40.0000

Am afraid you have a problem, you should have down it the other way around...first stock ROM then stock SPL.....but this is merely a fact then helping you out, i have absolutely no clue how to go from here...sorry!
Maybe someone who can offer some practical assistance will be along soon ......
@Nirak: yes, I misread it. What a silly thing to do. Do you think HTC can help. The phone is in warranty.
Well, since you've got stock SPL on it you could give it a try. When they start asking questions you could say you tried to install a WM 6.5 ROM by accident.., dunno if they buy it...
But on the other hand, being honest is maybe better, they might just help you out or else you have to pay, but since you have a rather expensive paperweight right now, this might be an option too.
BTW.. did you try to contact one of the releasers of the HardSPL? (Cmonex or Olipro), you never know where they can come up with....
May be they will see this thread. .... otherwise how can I contact them?
Thanks for the ideas.
Have you tried to flash your rom through the boot loader mode
try this
hi
try this
1. do HSPL on ur phone again using the tools given in the thread
2.after successful HSPL Flash the Stoc rom the right one for ur phone
3.then flash the Stock SPL again the right spl for ur phone
this is just my suggestion i hope ur successful and it helps to solve ur problem

Yes, nothing happens. The screen is stuck at 0%. I tried using a htc original rom, it got to 1% and said something like not suitable for this device.
I sure this sounds rather silly ,and I am sure you have tried it,have you tried removing the battery and then putting it back again.
Not sure if you tried this already:
Run HardSPL when your phone is in tricolor mode (bootloader?).
Then reflash a stock ROM, also in tricolor mode.
Finally, flash stock SPL.
Hope this helps.
@izzysc: I have tried it (will try again though) in running HardSPL when phone is in tricolor mode. It did not work.

Do i loose my guarantee after Flash?

i flashed my x1 with some rom, and now i flashed it back to the basic rom but i allready have the hard spl mod (debranded x1)
and my keyboard now sucks, i got the bill / and support card
so can i go to the shop where i bought it and get back a new one or repaired one?
do i have guarantee even if i have flashed my x1 ?
thanks !
now u still gotta flash stock spl... just check the sticky threads...
also had tht keyboard prob... hope its not gonna happen again..
Uhm no it wouldnt work right now but if you look at the stickyed threads you will see a way to flash back your normal hardspl and your normal rom this way it will look like just an ordinary branded xperia
i have bought the x1 from a shop in germany
Without any brandings (vodafone,t-mobile,o2)
where i can find the stock rom for it ?
can somebody find a link for this one ?
Not very hard to find...

yeah and which of these ? generic de or what ?
and this ones are all exe files how can i flash them ? cuz i got hard spl on my device.
I wouldn't worry about flashing the HardSPL. I sent my phone back to Sony after flashing and didn't hear a thing. They sent it back reflashed with an official HardSPL and Firmware. There's not much chance of them finding out, and even if they did you could just claim innocence and say you have no idea what they are talking about.
If it's a problem with something that they would need to test with the phone turned on and working however, I would highly suggest you flash the original rom (don't worry about the spl).
Just my advice

okay thanks very much, i dont know much about it.. but you helped me.. thanks for the advice.. !
one of my X1 cracked jz beside the back hatch. i've flashed it with cRoms from xda! guess what? i'm still up for warranty as long as the stickers protection the machine inside is still intact.
btw, does x1 comes with guarantee?
Right is just like a pc ... as long as is still in warranty they want care if u have customized it in any way or whatever they just reflash it to latest SE rom ... and repair it
never had problems

Please Help Me......

Hi,
I have an att tilt (8925). The other day I happend to upgrade the ROM or flash from 6.0 to 6.1 from htc official site there after the phone doesn't get the signal(wireless).
The following is the device information.
ROM Version:3.57.502.2 WWE
ROM Date:07/17/08
Radio Version:1.65.21.18
Protocol Version:25.88.40.05H
Please any kind of help would be really greatly appreciated....
Thanks in advance.
And you used the ATT rom?
Thanks for the reply but I am sorry I am totally new to all this wat do u wat me to do....
yeah looks like you did.
Could you give us more data ?
Where did you find your phone ? Was it unlocked ? Did you do hard-SPL in it ?
What is the OS version, exactly ?
Maybe you must change the Radio, maybe you must flash with another ROM version.
Maybe you only must enable the phone...
Please enter the boot screen and write here all your data numbers (then, switch off the device, you'll boot normally again), and also write all the data you can find in Start-Settings-System-"Device data" (or similar the last screen)
(don't write here the IMEI as it's not needed and could be used for third party people to lock your phone) !!!!!!!!
With all the data we'll know what exactly is your device and what exactly may be happeing to it.
Hi,
I got the phone from ATT with windows mobile 6.1 Professional.
R 1.65.21.18
G 25.88.40.05h

ROM Version:3.57.502.2 WWE
ROM Date:07/17/08
Radio Version:1.65.21.18
Protocol Version:25.88.40.05H
and this is the data from the device
Please help me,Any replies would be greatly appreciated.

What actually happened and why the difference? Surely if you have an AT&T phone and put an AT&T ROM on it (with no other modifications) as per how AT&T intended, if that causes it to fail, AT&Ts warranty department should be informed and should come to the rescue? If you've already hard reset the phone and tested again (it's important to hard reset after a ROM flash) and have tried reflashing the new ROM again and hard resetting afterwards with the same results, it's time to contact them?

Did you try this process twice (in case of a bad flash)? How do you explain the different Windows Mobile versions you referred to as being on the phone originally? How old is the phone?
Hi,
I tried that not twice but many times....I told you that I originally had win 6.0 then I updated to 6.1 given at htc.com its just out of warranty by a month, its like 13 months old.....

The reason for my question was because in your 3rd post you said the device came with WM 6.1 from AT&T.... My HTC branded TyTN II had a warranty for 15 months from new and even if yours is just out of the warranty period for Tilts, they shouldn't completely ignore you if you can prove the problem was caused by using their ROM upgrade. That said, given no-one else with this phone and ROM has complained about the same issue as you here, either your local celltower has coincidentally failed at the same time as you carried out the flash or some damage has occurred to your device (such as to the aerial sticker perhaps). The simple way to find out would be to test it out in other areas where you know reception to be good, also to revert its ROM/Radio and SPL back to the original Tilt setup. You can find all the required files and instructions here at xda-dev via the wiki about how to do that.
As Flying Kiwi says, you can revert to 6.0...
I'm also intrigated by this change of versions from 6.0 to 6.1 (not WM versions but your posting versions)
Well, le'ts imagine you flashed the correct 6.1 ROM to the correct device (the data you wrote here allow us believe in this, I think, but I'm not an expert in SPL and radio versions). It should work. If not, you may try to download the old SPL and 6.0 ROM and flash them. (You'll find their links somewhere in the Wiki, here). Maybe you need to change the Radio to get the phone working ? Did you use the correct ROM for your S/N device ?
On the other side, you may try to do the entire Hard-SPL process and then flash one of this wonderfuls ROM's you may find here.
Or reverting to the original 6.0 and SPL "from" a cooked ROM ?
I'm thinking about my most terrible enemy, the electricity down, and thought you might download a bad version, or it got corrupted but you could flash it...
Please, don't follow my instructions till one of the masters will read my post and tell if I'm (or not) mistaken.
Hi All,
I thank you frm the bottom of my heart for all your responses, surprisingly when I when to att device support center today they said that my phone is still under warranty and they replaced my phone with a new one....

My Network And Back To Stock SPL

Hi,
I Had Really Alot of problems with my network and the phone droped almost all my calls
so i decided that i will go back to my stock SPL and go for warrenty
coz i searched the fourm and i didn't find a soultion for this problem
I just need to know the steps that i have 2 do + i don't remember the stock rom that was in my HD ~
Thanks !
goto http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Blackstone_Ship_exe
there are all the stock roms available, find the one that suits your needs
goto http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=431217
this is hard spl topic, read the instructions (7 simple steps) to downgrade your spl to default.
IF YOU USED USPL YOU DO NOT HAVE TO REVERT ANY SPL
Yeah I Used USPL ,
So I Only Have To Istall An Official Rom and the spl will go back as it was ?!
The Probllem Is That I Don't Know What Is My First Official Rom :s ?!
Is There Anything I Can Find from using the s/n or something !
basically spl will not return to normal as it actually did it the first time you reset your phone, anyway yep you just need to install stock rom. not to be rude mate but did you actually check the links I provided? in the first one there is a list of all stock roms, which of course depend from vendor, country, language etc. If your rom was for example in arabic + english there is only one you can download, therefore that must be the one. if not, you will have to read, read, read and then read the related threads for those roms until you find your one.
you could also goto htc site and try to download, if present, a rom update for your device. you will have to enter the IMEI of your phone and if your code is accepted, you will be 100% sure that you are allowed to flash that rom in your phone. and your warranty will be ok
I wish people didn't user Rapidshare who offer neither:
There are no more download slots available for free users right now. If you don't want to become a premium member, you might want to try again later.
That's about the sum of it. Sadly I too have a dead screen I need to restore to factory.
