Hey,
I'v been using these forums for a long time but finally came into a problem i could not search about on google and was wondering if someone could be kind enough to help
So I got a milestone that's from Brazil on 2.1 and sadly my 3g doesn't work. I downgraded the phone to 2.0.1 and my 3g worked again! I have been trying all day to get 3g working on 2.1 with no luck what so ever. I used root explorer on 2.0.1 to try and copy these files and replace them on my phone with 2.1.
File_Audio , File_Audio2 , File_GSM , File_Seem_Flex_Tables , generic_pds_init
The thing is i can't fine generic_pds_init on my 2.0.1 phone. None the less I tried copying audio, audio2, gsm, and seem flex tables on my 2.1 but after i reset it i get stuck at the motorola screen. I was wondering if anyone figured out how to use 3g on a brazil milestone with firmware 2.1. If so would anyone be kind enough to help me out? Thanks

Here's the deal: I had my phone upgraded to I9000WXJP6 a while ago, now I'm trying to upgrade again and I'm kinda lost. I'm trying to get support for arabic and I'm wondering if XWJPB will do. If not is it possible to go for the I9000JPJPG without breaking my phone?

I guess it's safe assuming you know how to use odin properly. I've done this yesterday. Coming from Darky's fast ROM, i flashed my i9000 back to XXJPU stock then flashed again to I900JPJPG all using odin. And i'm thinking to flash again tonight back to 2.1 as my GPS is still flaky on JPJPG when i get home as i have PPC mac here in the office.
NOTE: Bear in mind that using odin will DELETE everything in your phone i think except the files in your external SD (assuming you have one inside your phone).
Hey!
Soo I'm a total noob and i've looked around but can't seem to find this problem. I flashed a stock 2.3.3 for the samsung Galaxy S I9000M. My phone is originally from bell and I couldn't go on the market and sms that where sent to me shows that it was sent 4 hours ago. I bought it off some guy who unlocked it for me. I'm on the Fido network.
So I got a friend to flash it for me and it's on 2.3.3 I9000xxjvk. And now I can't get the 3G to work and it says i'm roaming. Mind you the market works now and sms shows the right time.
I know it has something to do with the modem. My friend suggested the SP6160_ARIES_DB221110 from :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=876391
Now I have odin and the AIO Vibrant Toolbox installed. But i have no idea how to flash that modem. And I don't feel like bricking my phone thats barely a week old.
Please can someone tell me if this is the right modem and a step by step guide for a noob like me to install the modem.
p.s. I have the correct Fido APNs. it's the same one i used when i had it one 2.1

Basically you need a Bell Modem. JL2 or KCI will do.
Have you turned OFF Mobile Roaming in the settings .

you guys are life savers.
well thats weird.... Now i can't search anything on the market, says it's not in the market.... But before I could. i can still download it if i find it on my pc through android market.
Now i can't even download from the pc site. and when i go on my phone it tells me
Warning: : your device might not be compatible with android market. Contact your device manufacturer for information.
This is frustrating. I flashed the JL2 modem, should i try the KCI?

I'm not having any problems with the market, though in the past I did install eris market fix. Give it a shot.
I've got a Liquid e and am running LCR 2.2 on it. It will not however work with a Rogers/Tbaytel SIM card. I'm trying to figure out how I can make this phone work on Rogers. I bought the phone online and was told it was unlocked but it will not work on Tbaytel which uses Rogers phones. If someone can tell me where I can find the Rogers bin for 2.2 I would really appreciate it so I can get my phone working. I'm new to phones but have figured out how to change bins and flash the phone.
Thanks
I have a CDMA Milestone on a small local carrier (Bluegrass Cellular), and flashed the C 1.43 baseband (stupid mistake!). My carrier uses the C1.07. I found the .SBF file and flashed it using RSD Lite. I now have the correct baseband and 2.1 Android installed, but apparently the settings for the EVDO are wrong. Is there any way to find and change these settings? I took it to see if Bluegrass Cellular could do anything with it and they seem to know less than I do. I told them that it had previously been rooted, and they just assume that's what caused the problem. The phone, texting, and everything else works fine-just not the mobile network. I hope I haven't made a $300 mistake! Any ideas?
I'm in the same boat so if anyone has a solution or a stock Bluegrass sbf it would be much appreciated.
I'm with bluegrass also and am trying to avoid this very dilemma. Did it mess yours up when you flashed a ROM or how?
Sent from my A854 using XDA App
Try flashing another rom, another version ?
Since phones now have USB, i don`t think u can brick it...
And since nobody got a solution, u should keep trying til u find a solution or someone post it here ;D
I'm a new owner of the Rogers Optimus 3d. (although I have had other android devices before) I need to use auto proxy to setup my mobile web access so I need to be able to have root. I've tried using Froyo (and some of the Froyo roms here) and although they were an improvement I would like to go to gingerbread. Tried flashing 21a baseband but it seems to be hunting for a signal a lot more (it goes from e to 3G to h constantly) then sometimes I lose signal altogether. I'm just curious if other Rogers owners have run into similar problems and what you have done to solve it. I remember reading somewhere some people were having luck with the brazil baseband (20a I believe) .....but I can't seem to find any links that I can download it from.
By reading all the forums I've learned a lot but I havent seen many Rogers users around so I'm unsure if that's why I'm having problems. Is the Rogers hardware different at all?
Thanks in advance
there is a gingerbread rogers rom and a Brazil rom. Both not rootable.
Thanks, I guess I was mistaken I thought that the brazil own was root able.
