Thanks for your response Roy. I have previously tried Google IME and too bad it doesn't support Traditional Chinese (yet) :-(

I downloaded JF4_v4_1.zip, extracted the following files and libraries and copied them to /system/app and /system/lib accordingly:
DioChineseIME.apk
libKeyboardCN.so
libDHWRCN.so
libRecomWord.so
And.... it works!!! Only downside is: it's Simplified Chinese but I want Traditional Chinese. Is there Taiwanese version of it? It seems to me that Singapore is using Simplified Chinese and Taiwan is the only country in the world to use Traditional Chinese. It looks so much more beautiful! Can someone please help me with that? Your support is very much appreciated!!

Ah, so Traditional Chinese is now supported in the new version. Too bad because I am now addicted to DioPen, with both PinYin and Stroke input. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I will keep Google PinYin for a while until I can find the Traditional Chinese for DioPen.

Please, anyone from Taiwan here who owns a Samsung Galaxy S? I want to have Traditional Chinese support in DioPen! Please anyone? Thanks in advance!

Not true, Malaysia uses traditional Chinese, and also Hong Kong SAR too.
Also Google PinYin supports Traditional Chinese both pinyin and stroke. As mentioned by Roy Ngan, once you checked on Google PinYin, below that go to the Google PinYin and check traditional chinese.
Just check out the settings.

Hi anyone already flashed this FW? Can somebody tell me if it has DioPen with Traditional Chinese? I installed DioPen on my European FW but too bad I got a simplified Chinese version. I really need the Traditional one... please, who can help me out? I am at the verge of installing this FW on my Samsung Galaxy S european version but am reluctant since I don't know what hardware differences are there? Is it safe to do?

You can try touchpal, very powerful chinese ime

I'm using Rods MIUI rom Rusty, what about you? Any ideas why I can't see UK apps in the Market? All apps come up either as:
~$PRICE
or
US$PRICE
Nothing at all for UK :-(
Ah, intesting.
I presume you've got your location/languages set right? I assume it's defaults are probably not UK English.

Browser (web) when I checked locales shows as en-gb just did a basic test with a PHP script, not sure what else to check?
The English setting (if I select it) e.g. without Locale / MoreLocale goes to United States, How can you default the entire android system locales to UK?
Pop into the Keyboard & Language settings and see what the current language is. English UK is the one you'd want to be on, I presume.

Ah yes, that is a problem then. I guess the folks de-Chineseifying MIUI (or the MIUI creators) haven't added UK support.

People are using that Locales application that did change it to United Kingdom when I viewed Keyboard settings etc but it seems rather a pseudo method than a real locale change to the android sub-system! :-(
Any ideas?

which rom has chinese interface and handwriting input built in?

Want to give my tab to my mother-in-law who lives in Taiwan but need to flash it with a rom that fully supports traditional Chinese.
Anyone know?

It's part Hindi, part English. A simple Google search would have told you that.
The international Xperia keyboard has it as an input language, as does SwiftKey. I cannot find how to use it on the Google keyboard, however.

I'm not sure as it probably needs the associated libs to work.
You could try this and see if Hinglish input is available - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2196653
It should have all the required system files and Hinglish input as it was extracted from a C6603 and that's what I'm using.

Did anyone manage to get the hinglish pack working on google keyboard? I know it's available on swype and swiftkey but i want it on google keyboard.. anyone?
I know it's an old thread but did someone manage to find Hinglish pack for Google keyboard? I just got Nexus 5 few days back and was looking for this.
Method for importing Hinglish or Hindi transliteration to stock Android keyboard
Method:
1) Download the attached text file(Hindi Transliteration.txt) to your phone.
2) Download the free app User Dictionary Manager (UDM) from Play Store
3) On your phone, start UDM > Import > External > <path to Hindi Transliteration.txt e.g /sdcard/download/Hindi Transliteration.txt>
3a) ETA: The file name in the path has to be exactly correct. On my phone the space in the filename became an underscore, so that's a potential source of error.
4) You're done, Enjoy!
4a) Optional - Uninstall UDM
Extraneous:
I wanted to accomplish the same thing that the OP of this thread wants. It was surprisingly difficult to find a list of Hindi words transliterated in English. I finally found a set of English Hindi pairs at "Datasets for FIRE 2013 Track on Transliterated Search" (link cannot be posted since I'm a new poster, Google if interested, it's the iitkgp site) , from which I removed the Devanagari script, made it compatible with UDM, and attached to this post.
Awesome man !!
Maine ye install kar liya hai... Dekhte hain kya hota hai... Abhi to badhiya chal raha hai....
Used google keyboard to type this...
Thank you very much... it worked

Note 5 Firmware flash

Hi there,
i have the international version of the note 5... called SM-N920I.
I would like to know, if there is a way to install german as main system language on my device. English is pre installed, but not german.
Furthermore... Samsung told me that at the korean version german is included.
So i downloadet the version and tried to flash it with odin 3.10.6. But it stockes at "nands write start" .... its confusing.
Or is there a easyer way to get the language data?
If you have any ideas please write... and sorry for my bad english

If not factory reset and see if you can..

Question OPPO Find X3 pro chinese version, lenguage question.

Goodnight
I wanted to ask some questions about this phone.
The seller told me that it had English language, the problem is that some elements continue to appear in Chinese language even if I configure it in English, is that normal? And if so, is it possible to change it so that it is all in English?
Thanks for your answers in advance.
I would say that this is quite normal for any phone in CN version.

Nope, unless oppo fixes the translations in the upcoming firmware (honestly i doubt it since these CN charcters/words are in almost all android phones for CN market even if you have english set as default lang)
