If you updated to Facebook 1.3.0, have you noticed it keeping your phone awake? I updated and Spareparts is showing its wake lock time higher than Android System over time. I'm using Darchdroid 2.7 with uv kernel.

I also had 100% awake times with it last night, needless to say, uninstalled until fixed. What a disappointment...

I updated to 1.3.0 and I do not have this issue. For what it's worth, I disabled all syncing and notifications in the app settings
Edit: I realized I haven't opened Facebook since the last time I rebooted. I recently opened it and closed it. Indeed, the partial wake bar is rising slowly but surely...
Having the same issue here on a HTC Desire, had to uninstall the update.
Partner doesn't seem to be having the same issue on her Legend though, which is strange (though, the facebook for HTC sense program is keeping her phone awake, , I don't understand how so many developers are falling into this hole - It's starting to become a serious problem with Android)
Same issue here on the desire. I uninstalled the update, back on 1.2
Fresh made A post about this on his page. I have 1.2 if anyone needs it.

Weak. I can't attach files with the xda app just pictures.

facebook has confirmed and is working on a fix: http://www.androidcentral.com/facebook-confirms-battery-drain-latest-android-update
Just uninstall the update through the manage applications menu, once you click on Facebook you hit manage space and then uninstall updates.

I downloaded WeatherBug Elite when it was free and it will work for 1 or 2 times and then give me the error:
"unknown error. Please download the app again"

Have you done what it says? I had that popup after uninstalling weatherbug free. I reinstalled and have no issues.

Unfortunately I have done it multiple times and continue to have the issue.
Read the reviews. Everyone said it sucks. Granted most of those people dont know how to operate a phone. I installed ran fine, just drained my battery in like 2 hours, with the status bar temp thing, so its gone now.

That's why I don't allow programs to run in the background and give me "updates". If I want to see the weather I'll pull up the program.
I pulled a noob and just created my own thread about the same problem... oops!
I've been having the same problem, it also happens with Shazaam. I have to delete and reinstall both every time I reboot the phone.
Talk about pulling a noob, I responded to your post not realizing you asked for it to be deleted! Here was my response to your post:
I also have this issue with both WeatherBug Elite and Shazam Encore. I actually uninstalled Shazam (at the time I noticed it) because I installed SoundHound Infinity.
However, I just manually rebooted my phone and, yes, my WeatherBug Elite came back with the error (after re-installing and setting it up).
I tested my other Amazon apps (Airport Mania: First Flight, Angry Birds Rio, Angry Birds Seasons, Diner Dash 2, Doodle Jump, Flight Control, Fruit Ninja, SoundHound Infinity, and Talking Tom Cat) and it's only the WeatherBug Elite and Shazam Encore.
Something is going on with the rebooting for just those two apps. I can't believe it's an Amazon specific thing.
I'm running a Droid X with Liberty 1.5 ROM.
Hmm rebooted and got the same issue... interesting. Ill try deleting app data and using TiBackup the next time after that.
In Amazon app store you can send issues to the developers.. i sent them this issue. Hopefully more users do the same and we get an update.

What was weird is that it alerted in the taskbar just fine.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA Premium App
Doing a little research with a few people here (with Droid X's) is that it only happens on my phone.
The difference between mine and the others is that I'm running a custom ROM (Liberty 1.5).
It works fine for my Droid X friends that 1) is stock and 2) rooted, but stock ROM.
So, for me, it looks like there is something with the app and the fact that I'm running a custom ROM.
I too experienced fc on weather bug and shazam on Phoenix Ultimate and current rom Unleashed. May be it's an issue with the app itself. Other than those 2 apps, all works without any issues.

I think it's an app problem... All my other free paid apps work fine.
I just deleted it and got the weather channel....

I was having an issue where Weatherbug Elite would say I had to enable one of the location services (GPS or Network location) even though I leave network locating on. I tried clearing the app cache by going to menu>settings>applications>manage applications, hit the ALL tab at the top, go down to Weatherbug Elite and hit Clear Data. This cleared up my problem. Maybe it'll help yours.
I have the same problem. Everything else works fine but this thing is the Devil. I cannot get it to work on my EVO. I have tried everything. I mean everything and now I'm more confused then an Amish Electrician.
ive read of people not being able to update or download google maps. my problem with it is almost every time i download an app from the market google maps downloads instead. or it tires to update. and the app i intended to download does nothing as if i never clicked on it to download in the first place and clicked google maps instead. its like maps just takes over and decides that its going to do what it wants. wtf is the deal?
are you on stock JF6 or what?
oh sorry. i guess some info wouldve helped. im running serendipity 6.4

hmmm.. i used to run that ROM and i had that problem on the first boot. after that however it went away after i just went to into the market and cancelled the download. As far as the apps not downloading after you press them, i feel like thats a market app issue.. have you tried reflashing to an earlier version of serendipity?
Im on 6.4 and have had no issues with the market or google maps. I have always flashed a freash nand if things start getting funky.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
Ive been using serendipity since out was released. I noticed this happening a few versions back. Maybe since around 6.0. this my second flash of 6.4 cuz I had a brief stint with another rom and had the same issue there.

The map problem is related to GB ROMs.
The last update on the market for google map will make it take control and restart on its own.
Even if you close it in your running services, it will actually prompt restart before closing = never closes and drains your battery.

For me, in my apps it says installed.and that's it.it will still hijack my other app downloads and download itself again..

Buh-bye maps, you will not be missed.
Hello free ram and much better battery life.
Autostars app should take care of the problem of Maps restarting at will.
Google Maps
FYI: Turning off "Use Wireless Networks" in the Location and Security setting appears to keep MAPS from loading in the background, thereby saving some battery. Keeps you from completely deleting the app.
My two cents.
Hey guys, I've come across a problem I've never had before. Recently I've had errors popping up of low memory and a lot of FC's of Facebook, messaging, browser, pretty much everything. I'll look for apps in the play store or browse games and can only scroll down about 2 inches before I hit the bottom. I've used various cleanup apps and still low on ram. Been running aokp jellybean build 5 for months without problems. Any suggestions?
Sent from my SGH-I897 using xda app-developers app
what is actually running after you boot phone? settings, apps, running tab will show.
have you tried booting into recovery and wiping both dalvik and cache?
other suggestion would be to deny startup or else freeze various apps to see if that helps.
Sent from my SGH-I897
Perhaps a little update wouldn't hurt, there's AOKP JB milestone now. Little backup, clear/wipe and flash it.
But like laughingT mentioned, chances are that you have a app draining your RAM.
Well I updates to milestone 1 originally but when I did the lock screen theme never changed when I changed themes as well as other things (keyboards etc) so I went back to build 5.
After rebooting my phone and seeing what apps are running after starting up and its 3 Google maps, Google, voxer, gmail, OMC widget, Facebook, play music and stuff like that before I've even opened anything

Maps can be stopped (make sure GPS isn't on). I heard OMC Widget caused a lot of battery drain but might've been updated since then. And Voxer, you can stop it and only start it when you need it.
you could try System Tuner, available on google play.
the startups button, gives a list of all apps, system and user, has ability to selectively disable apps at startup.
I use it to prevent Google maps and many others from loading at boot. don't go overboard, say by disabling keyboard or settings, obviously.
I think OMC widget has been updated, but batt use may vary with which widget you select and how frequently you set it to update.
I'm using OMC with the clock weather batt bubble thingy widget, and from what I can see, it suspends updating when screen is off.

Since yesterday I've been experiencing issues with location features on non-Google apps. Specifically:
Waze boots then FCs.
Facebook can't find my location when I try to check in, but CAN find my location if I tap the location icon when writing a status update.
Google apps are unaffected. Navigation works fine and check ins via the G+ app also work properly.
The only things I've done since the last time I used Waze or Facebook was to install Rootkeeper and attempt to install the latest OTA. The OTA installation failed at the bootloader so I don't think any system changes were made.
Regardless, I've since uninstalled Rootkeeper and flashed the odexed, updated stock ROM that viperboy posted but that hasn't fixed the problem.
Is anyone else experiencing this?
I am also experiencing issues with my location update. This started after the update was installed on my device. My phone reads "current location" but never updates. I have rebooted many times but no fix.

I am encountering the same issue. I justed restored my One to a unrooted stock state last night. This morning ran into the same issue of Waze closing when trying to launch it. Also noticed that the location displayed on the phone now says ""My Location", Yelp and Foursquare will not display useful info unless I get a GPS signal. Foursquare shows me results all over the globe (Tel Aviv, Sai Paulo) and when the map appears in Yelp it is off the coast of West Africa....

After every call ended, S-Health pops up, after unplugging headphones S-Health pops up, and sometimes varies with other apps when exiting them or doing whatever... wtf. Thought it was me but two buddies with new S5 as well said the same thing. Any way to disable this, I don't even use it and not signed into it. Useless to me, I keep my workout sched for different days in Evernote anway. Praying to the root gods something is figured out to get rid of this bloatware.

Same issue
I've had this same problem on my S7. I 'Disable' the app and it asks me if I would like to restore it to the factory version to which I say 'yes'. Then at the next update it reinstalls the latest updates and it all happens again. I'm not very tech-savvy so am hoping someone can help. I've now removed all permissions and blocked notifications on the app settings so fingers crossed it stops happening.
