Gameboy - Nexus One Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I have this .sav file (a gameboy save game) from a pc gameboy advance emulator. Is there a way for me to use Android gba emulator to play the game with the .Sav file on my phone? I've tried replacing the files but couldn't find the files on my SD card.

Games in Internal storage

Hey guys, i installed all my games inside my Diamond's internal storage.
After i upgraded the rom, The games do not appear inside my games folder.
But i could access and play the game when i search using the file explorer.
Other than reinstalling the games, is there anyway to move the games into the games folder?
Make shortcut (using total commander or other) and put it in windows\start menu\programs\games --> ? ... works on my diamond.

How can I watch movies from my PC via nexus?

My PC and Nexus connected to same network over wifi. I tried to do subject over estrongs file explorer but there is no result I can't play any video file unless I coppied it to the phone. I what to watch video streamming from the PC, without needs copping. I guess there must be special app for this task. But wich one is it?

I haven't been able to stream from my pc, but I can use ES to copy a file to my sdcard and play it via rock player. I'm pretty sure there are served based apps like OrbLive that allows you to stream from your desktop, but they require you to install a service on your pc. My pc is cluttered enough as it is, so personally I'm against that route.
Curious as to any other options you uncover.

i believe gmote allows some video streaming though i'm unsure of which file types.
Gmote won't do divx avi. Otherwise it's a perfectly workable solution for mp4 and any format that android natively supports.

Perfectly will be to watch avi using estrongs file explorer over samba via yxplayer. But any of files can't be open direct from the PC in estrongs file explorer at least. They must be first coppied to the phone. How can I open files direct from PC like if I do that from PC to PC?

Maybe there is a player which can play video over UPnP for example?

If you're rooted - look in Development forum, there's a post about how to mount the Samba server path as one of the system directories using binaries. This would allow you to do exactly what you want to do.
You might also try using RockPlayer Beta as the media player.

Connect your phone to your computer. When it asks you to mount or connect to samsung kies select mount. Your phone should show up as a drive, from there you can drag and drop your files to your internal card or your external. Once you disconnect your phone should scan media files and you can look in your music player and files should be there.

Sound bites from games showing up in Music Players

Any way to get rid of these without deleting the games?
They show up in the HTC Music Player, as well as DoubleTwist
Find the directory on your sd card with your computer or astro. Make an empty file named ".nomedia"
This will stop gallery and music from looking in the directory.

Yup, you can also get the nomedia app that lets you easily manage your folders with .nomedia files.
Thanks.
Worked fine for the HTC Media Player but not for DoubleTwist

[Q] Can't find music on SD card even though it's downloaded

Ok so I download an mp3 using one of the many mp3 apps out there (Music Box Pro) I have it set to download to SD/Music
When I open up file explorer I SEE THE FILE in this directory, and I can, via this explorer app, select and open the song and listen to it.
But why can't I locate it on Winamp ? Why can't I use a ring tone maker to locate and use this song ? It finds many other songs -- but not the ones I download
anyone know why ? is a permissions thing ?
basically I am wondering why I can't access the songs I download - I can't assign them to play lists, etc. or use as ring tones. Why not ?
Try finding the music box pro file on sd card and if it exists open it and if the tracks are in it then copy them to another folder ie sounds

nah, I have it so that the tracks are automatically downloaded to my /sd/music folder -- yet still can't really access them or find them it's as if they don't have permissions, it's really messed.
