Missing incoming calls & text - Hero CDMA Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone,
After three weeks I finally got everything to work on my Cricket Hero. Now, I have an issue with my phone not ringing or showing a missed call notification. I'm on DamageControl v1.0, & I've been experiencing problems for the past couple days. I noticed that in CDMA Options, there are three modes of operation: Hybrid, Evdo Only, & 1x Only. I read in another forum that in Evdo Only mode, you will miss calls & texts. Only problem is that when I change the mode to Hybrid, it sometimes reverts back to Evdo Only. How can I change the mode from Evdo to Hybrid and make it stick? Also, under EPST, I have the preferred mode set to Automatic. Can anyone help me with this?
Thanks

Can't make calls

For some reason I can't make calls. I'm using the stock dialer on a stock rooted ROM (see sig).
I dial a number and it looks like it's working (the call timer starts counting and what not) but it never actually calls. Just silence.
I haven't been able to test receiving calls yet but I did at least get some missed calls earlier when I was away from my phone (it was when I tried to return those calls that I discovered this problem).
I'm on Verizon. I have LTE set as my "Preferred Network Type" in Cellular Settings. Data works fine in both LTE and 3G areas. Texts work fine. Just calling seems broken.
Had anyone seen or heard of this? I searched this forum but didn't find anything.
poor connectivity on WIFI network on nexus 6
I also face the problem if not able to make/receive calls when WIFI network is activated.

Are you on the 98r radio? That's the one that ships with the Verizon branded Nexus devices and is different from the radios in the other 5.1 builds.

cant receive and make calls when connected to LTE

I just bought my note 5. Its the dual sim version. So the first few days was days.... i started having difficulty with making outgoing calls... texts are fine... its like 1 out 10 calls would push through. So i rebooted my phone thinking that it might resolve the issue....unfortunately it did not. Then a few friends sent me a message that theyve been trying to call me and it always says im out of coverage are... the whole time this was happening I was connected to LTE. When i changed my mobile network setting to 3g/2g .... then calls came in and went out. Has anyone have the same issue with note 5?
The international versions don't have VoLTE enabled. Not sure how to enable it. Mine also doesn't have WB-AMR (HD Voice) enabled either.
Thus, calls need to be switched through the HSPA network and can't be routed while connected to LTE. Essentially when making a call your phone switches and tries to register on HSPA, quickly.

Help! No LTE!!

Hey all!
I'm still rocking a VS980 until maybe early next year. I finally got around to rooting it since the stock rom was overheating the phone, and CM13 is a great upgrade. Only one small problem.. about a week after I upgraded to CM13 I lost my ability to use LTE data. Here's everything I've tried:
- I put the SIM in my old(er) phone, a HTC M7. That gets 4G no problem.
- Set preferred network type to Global and turned data roaming on
- I also double checked the APN between the two devices. There were some minor differences, but upon adjusting them to match it still didn't fix the issue. I reverted back after seeing that. I see a lot more options though, and it doesn't switch automatically to VSWINTERNET, instead staying on the admin profile without data.
- I tried editing build.prop with LTE tweaks including changing the default cdma value to 10, but that didn't work.
- Dialed *#*#4636#*#* and set the LTE option to every option that included CDMA; it didn't work. I also pressed Enable Data Connection which, ironically, disabled data connection.
- Finally restored the phone with stock firmware, only to have the phone not able to read SIM cards at all.
I'm honestly at a loss of what to do now. I flashed CM13 again and I'm at square 1. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can fix my phone? Otherwise it might have to spend the rest of its life as a glorified home theater remote. Let me know if you need any info. Thanks all!

Verizon settings that work

Hi all
I have been looking around and browsed all similar threads but I have not found an answer
Can anyone that uses MI Mix on Verizon (successfully) with working data, calls and SMS help me.
Like tell me what ROM are you using, APN (if manually input), VoLTE on/off, what network mode is it on (CDMA-UMTS..etc)
I cannot get for the life of me to get it to work correctly. I have tried all the Lineage variations posted here and I can either have calls and no data or "No service"
Was thinking to try MIUI 9.5.1 since it just came out but I do not want any of the chinese apps that I won't use or menus half translated.
I will really appreciate any help.
Thank you
I am able to get Messaging and Data successfully, but no incoming or outgoing calls. I spent two days with their advanced Global support only to hear the IMEI isn't compatilble with Verizon. Then why does the data and messaging work?
I have a mi mix and Verizon work fine in my phone no problem everything works
It'll work if you live in an area with Verizon Band 4.

Question Prefer LTE & Missed Calls

I'm running xiaomi.eu 13.0.8.0 on my Note 10 Pro currently, though I'm not sure it matters for this.
When I have the Preferred network type set to "Prefer LTE" my phone locks onto LTE towers with a poor signal, typically around -117 to -123 dbm, ( > 2km away, 0-1 bars). Sometimes calls work, but often I get reports that people aren't able to call me, and if I make a call it may take several minutes of retrying before it finally switches to UMTS or GSM and the call goes through. There is a strong GSM signal close by, but it typically refuses to use it and prefers the unusable LTE signal instead.
Short of setting it to "2G only" is there any setting that would let the phone switch to a usable signal, when LTE is so bad?
VoWiFi might help in this case to get around the problem, but I haven't gotten that working, either.
reset phone settings. prefer it
redmi note 10 pro same device as yours and I know as I am facing another bug, same would U bcz firmware is latest I have debloated many apps from adb pm.... command.
A Bug I know exist most people wont know is about Cellular network Band. It adds jitter in connection.
And I have solution for that one but that require root. maybe not
But Trust me I know problem Thats it we can find solution
To know the problem, It is actual in band selection. If u check it and find a fix please share it here.
I am writing my fix here
---> Download app from Playstore called "Hidden Settings For Android" to see the problem.
---> now search "band"
U have to use little brain and see all three selections name.
---> FUN read this " Two system apps called System settings and Miui System settings have control over band selection. Right!
---> One open settings for band selection and other opens settings for band selection as same as we think but they are different apps and have different data storage settings they override each other if u select one band in one settings and two in another make both their selection buggy.
By default when i didnt found this I was experiencing bad network.
Then I selected same band on both settings and keep them open in background and by network run back to normal * more faster than other devices on same network provider
As soon as I remove both from background, later bug starts to happen again.
Interesting. I ended up getting vowifi working by contacting my service provider and asking them to enable it on my SIM. So I keep the phone in airplane mode with wifi enabled when I'm at home. That's working much better.
I did try "Reset Wi-Fi, mobile networks, and Bluetooth" before, several times, but it didn't seem to make a difference.
