[Q] How to change Fresh Application Slider Background? - Hero CDMA Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

In the applications such as Music, People, Clock, and Mail, where are the files located for the background behind the slider and the icons? I have checked framework-res.apk, and I did not locate it. My goal is to replace the background of the slider so I can change it to the one on the newer HTC Sense devices, such as the Legend. If someone could point me to where the background image is located for this, I'd appreciate it.

[REQ] White/silver Taskbar icons

Can some of the experienced taskbar modders make a white > silver gradient taskbar icons? Nothing to fancy, maybe take the design of the vista/windows 7 notification icons into affect. they are limited colors that blend together. The icons are not 3d, they are flat, some have color but they look good.
I find most of the task bars here are trying too much and sacrifice professionalism and readability.
I can do it myself, just need a guide on the dll files and locations to edit. I have iconworkshop and i assume i can safely edit the icons in the files and won't corrupt them.

Make icon text background transparent?

I am using cyan 4.0.4. Prior to rooting, I used OpenHome which allowed me to make the icon text background transparent (by default it's black). Is there anyway for me to achieve this without having to install OpenHome? I have searched all over this forum, googled it, etc and cannot find any info on it. Thanks in advance for any help!!
Since I haven't received a reply, I'm assuming there's not a way. Let me ask this. Is there any way to remove the text for desktop shortcuts completely?
I am curious about this also. I actually did not realize this was an option with open home. How do you do it with OH?
With OpenHome loaded, go to Settings, then Text Fonts & Color, then Edit Shortcut Text and Background. From the drop-menu, select either Background Color or Text Color then use the slider to set the Opaqueness to 0 for either or both

Need help with Custom Taskbar Icons

I have been having trouble with getting some taskbar icons to match with my current theme. I have the darkstar taskbar with some custom icons on it already, but there are a few icons, such as Mail and eBuddy that still have the default HTC background where my current taskbar background is pure black. I tried pulling the ebuddy apk, editing the icons, and pushing it back but that just resulted in the app not showing up at all. I did the HTC Sync icons with no problems but some others apps are just not working. Thanks for the help.

Which XML entries to change in ICS for white system elements

Hello Community,
I´m currently trying to find out which sections in the SystemUI.apk from ICS I have to change to get a white-based ICS.
What I want to change are mainly the notification bar, notification bar expanded background, drawer background, system settings background and the overall text color (would be hard to read atm since it would be white on white )
Does someone know which values I have to change?
I already decompiled the systemUI.apk with help from the JB Theme tutorial, but JB seems to be slightly different.
kind regards
no one who knows them? :l
im pretty stuck atm.

Custom Icon Background Transparency Problem

Hey all,
Hope you can provide some assistance. I got an all-white icon set, and modified a few .pngs in Photoshop to add color to match my theme. Backgrounds were transparent, displayed transparent in Photoshop, still opened as transparent after I exported them for web as png-24s with transparency preserved. However, as soon as I drag the icons over to the root of my storage card, my phone (HTC One) displays the once transparent backgrounds as black. What gives? I've tried using Photoshop 7, Photoshop CS6, and GIMP with the same results. I'm I missing something?
