PMIC_IRQ3 = 0x0
PMIC_IRQ4 = 0x0
PMIC_STATUS1 = 0xc0

and a android picture with messege: "POWER RESET or UNKNOWN UPLOAD MODE"
Can anyone help me please :-(
thanks

That sucks man
It's the first time I see this message
I think you boot don't work

mine has done that a couple times. I have always just taken out the battery, unplug the USB, put the battery back in, hold Vol down and home and press the power button to enter download mode, then flash with ODIN.
Not sure if that will work for you. Hope that helps.

never seen that one but do what dagentooboy recommended and you will be fine. as long as you get into download mode the device can be restored with odin! terrible blurry picture btw. can't read anything

that's the screen when i push the download combo
i tried to press vol down + home + power and that's the screen i get after one galaxy s open screen...

keep the battery out for more than 30 secs and try again.

try again. odin sometimes hangs, especially at the "file analysis". don't worry, as log as odin DOES recognise the device it's not bricked! stay calm and try again!

i tried everything nothing works :-(....
that screen is killing me... :-/

If you are in the UK you can ship it me maybe and I can flash?

Hold Vol down + Home + Power until the i9000 powers on, then quickly release power button, only holding vol down + home until you get into download mode.

still nothing works no i have a screen with the messege
power reset or unknown upload mode
:-(

that's the screen i get when i try to get into download mode
vol down + home + power

does anyone have any idea?

Have u tried vol up + home + power? And do a restore? Just checking...
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App

It says 'FORCED UPLOAD BY KEY PRESSING'.

How did you get there in the first place? What went wrong?

Try to boot the phone with usb cable out & batery in & try the key combinations.

Very unusual, never seen this screen before. Usually when I have any booting problems I just reflash again with Odin. Don't think that will work here though...

You have to get you phone in download mode - orange android holding shovel - to start odin flash process.
You have to boot phone up normally, connect to computer in debugging mode to use master clear
yeah i cant do any of that but i can connect to odin because it says added and the box turns yellow
Have you tried adb to boot into download mode?

Either lies or total douchery. "Dude, I just had this problem and I fixed it! Nyeh nyeh!"
How about you contribute with a link to where you found your solution? Unless this was a super common and well known fix, "just search for it" isn't helping.
I've got the exact same thing!
Yesterday my phone just wouldn't boot...
After leaving it for a few hours, I connected it to usb and the phone booted into Android, then rebooted. Eventually I couldn't access anything and it was stuck in a bootloop. I could only get into Download Mode, no Recovery Mode, and flashing a new rom (Darky's Resurrection Edition) didn't help either.
This morning I get the POWER RESET or UNKNOWN UPLOAD MODE message. The last thing I did yesterday was flash to I9000XXJP2 stock.
A fix would really be nice!
This does work to get download mode back
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=819551
100% success using a breadboard, micro usb from an old car charger
2x 150k 1x1k
I MacGuyvered the 4&5th pins without solder so it was unstable and didn't work at first.
But Download mode is on the screen.
Now all i have to do is wait for the return of the windows machine to to odin it back.
time to read up on that now.
good luck
No power button

1. Download Odin 1.8x and execute it (run it/double click it)
2. Open your phone and take out the battery
3. Install the same battery back the same way you took it out
4. Press both volume buttons (that means up and down and keep it pressed)
5. Plug in your charger line to your phone. The USB side goes directly to your computer.
I don't know how more specific I can get. Good luck

Hey Guys. I also had the same problem but without all the RST_STAT = 0x1 bull crap. After replacing the motherboard, (not telling you to replace your motherboard) I couldn't get into recovery mode, rather it would always go into the POWER RESET or UNKNOWN UPLOAD MODE. The simple trick for me that worked was just tapping the power button while holding the volume down and home button. May work for you, just don't hold the power button down, otherwise it will go into the POWER RESET or UNKNOWN UPLOAD MODE.
Hope this helps.

I was presented with Upload Mode when my phone froze and I had to restart.
I simply pressed the volume down and power button until the Samsung logo appeared. Then released and it booted right up.
Hope this helps in some sort of way

My S3 Neo+ did the same after a stock install leave it for like 5mins then reboot. Or if you can boot into download mode, then reflash the recovery using odin. then do the rom installation stuff.
In theory, upload mode is supposed to be the doorstep of S-B00T terminal. Which is the base of the bootloader inclduing download mode.

[Q] 3-button Download OK but Recovery not OK

Hi,
I got a strange problem with my I9000 after flashing ROM.
Initially, the 3-button combination for Download and Recovery works well.
But after several ROM flashings (ODIN), my SSGS can't go into Recovery mode (vol up + home + power). However, it can go into Download mode (vol dn + home + power).
When I want to go into Recovery mode, I resort to use the power button (built in feature of DARKYROM). I also try the 3-button-fixed but to no avail.
Today, I flash ROM to the stock JV1.
I try to go into Recovery mode again.
I got:
RST_STAT = 0X4
PMIC_IRQ1 = 0Xc8
PMIC_IRQ2 = 0X0
PMIC_IRQ3 = 0X1
PMIC_IRQ4 = 0X0
PMIC_STATUS1 = 0X40
PMIC_STATUS2 = 0X2c
followed by a green ANDROID robot with a message "FORCED UPLOAD by KEY PRESSING"
Anyone has any idea how to fix this, pls?
I would like to have the 3-button works again.

I run into this problem when I was fixing one of my phone as well. I just refresh it with ROM which has 3 tar files. one for PDA, one for PHONE, one for CSC. the problem has been sloved.
I am not expert either, and one of my phone still not yet worked. hope that works for you.
jv1 is a rough gingerbread beta with a lot of known bugs including the one you mention. You need to check out the jv1 gingerbread threads

Also, get the can't mount E: Can't mount "/dev/block/mmcblk0p3"
Can this be reolved? If yes, how? Any help is appreciated...Thx

Bump because a handset I had had the same issue.
Running in to this on my Captivate. Unable to mount error and the unknown upload mode error.
"Power reset or unknown upload mode" appears when I try to boot the phone. After the AT&T screen, it goes to black. Hold power+vol up long enough to normally trigger a reset, and this message appears.
-Power off your phone
-Pull out battery
-Open Odin
-Attach phone to pc with usb
-Hold down both volume buttons and put battery back in
-Now you should be in download mode and able to go back to stock with odin
I got the same problem and cant now get into download mode
See this video-https://youtube.com/shorts/zKDCknLNjkE?feature=share
It worked for me

Now start usb upload?

I tried to flash my phone to stock, it flashed up untill it failed at factoryfs.rfs, it now doesn't get into download mode, or at least not the triangle thing, however if I hold Vol up, and power for a while I can get to a screen that says
RST_STAT = 0x1
PMIC_IRQ1 = 0x0
PMIC_IRQ2 = 0x0
PMIC_IRQ3 = 0x0
PMIC_IRQ4 = 0x0
PMIC_STATUS1 = 0x00
PMIC_STATUS2 = 0x0
Modem booting....
End modem booting.
Now start usb upload.
It shows up in Odin as its connected, however it just gets stuck in SetupConnection. I'm confused as to what to do, the only thing I could find about this is some guy answering back not knowing **** on another forum. Havn't been able to find anything here.. I'll keep looking..
EDIT: Ok for future reference for anyone that does come up with this issue again, I was able to recover. I found a post made by member Soween (which he found from adzidek)
Actually I used this method (from xda) :
1. power off phone
2. remove battery.
3. plug in USB cable to computer and phone (with battery out)
4. hold Vol Up and Vol Down
5. drop in the battery while still holding the vol buttons
6. in 2 secs you'll be in download mode
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Was able to get into download mode no problem and flash..
I know you already got your fix but looking at the stickies, you would've found this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1953930
Glad you got back up! :thumbup:
