so i no how to use odin stock rom and thats how i bricked. i was using Cognition v2.2 rom. and wanted to go back to stock i plug in my phone to usb mount and it connects to odin one click stock rom i press start and it going and right when it saw do not turn off power my phone cuts out because windows didnt recognize my phone. i cant get it to turn on just to a werid back screen with red letters and when im in that mode i can connect to odin but when i press start nothing happends. i tried to master clear nothing happends also im sure this happend to someone elses phone before lets me no thanks

You have to get you phone in download mode - orange android holding shovel - to start odin flash process.
You have to boot phone up normally, connect to computer in debugging mode to use master clear

yeah i cant do any of that but i can connect to odin because it says added and the box turns yellow

Have you tried adb to boot into download mode?
Sent telepathically using vulcan mind meld app.

i wasnt getting any response from my phone no power couldnt get the vol up + down hold to work but when i pressed vol up and power i got a werid screen the letters are red going down it says

PWIC_IRQ2 =0X0
PWIC_IRQ3 =0X0
PWIC_IRQ4 =0X0
PWIC_STATUS1 = 0XC0
PWIC_STATUS2 =0X2C

try this..

That sucks man
It's the first time I see this message
I think you boot don't work
mine has done that a couple times. I have always just taken out the battery, unplug the USB, put the battery back in, hold Vol down and home and press the power button to enter download mode, then flash with ODIN.
Not sure if that will work for you. Hope that helps.
never seen that one but do what dagentooboy recommended and you will be fine. as long as you get into download mode the device can be restored with odin! terrible blurry picture btw. can't read anything
that's the screen when i push the download combo
i tried to press vol down + home + power and that's the screen i get after one galaxy s open screen...
keep the battery out for more than 30 secs and try again.

try again. odin sometimes hangs, especially at the "file analysis". don't worry, as log as odin DOES recognise the device it's not bricked! stay calm and try again!
i tried everything nothing works :-(....
that screen is killing me... :-/
If you are in the UK you can ship it me maybe and I can flash?
Hold Vol down + Home + Power until the i9000 powers on, then quickly release power button, only holding vol down + home until you get into download mode.
still nothing works no i have a screen with the messege
power reset or unknown upload mode
:-(
that's the screen i get when i try to get into download mode
vol down + home + power

It says 'FORCED UPLOAD BY KEY PRESSING'.
How did you get there in the first place? What went wrong?
Try to boot the phone with usb cable out & batery in & try the key combinations.
Very unusual, never seen this screen before. Usually when I have any booting problems I just reflash again with Odin. Don't think that will work here though...

[Q] Help!!!!! Please!!!!! Stuck!!!!!

I flashed m phone back to stock, and then tried to flash the speedmod kernel thru Odin. The flash failed and now my computer will not recogonize my phone and the phone will not turn on. When I try to turn the phone on, I get a phone symbol, ! in a triangle symbol, and a computer symbol. If I restart the phone using the vol rockers and the power button, I can release the power button and instead my USB to get the phone in download mode. But once in download mode, I am unable to connect to Odin to flash back to stock. Any help will greatly help.

If Your phone have the 3 buttons issue you will need to do a dungle jig. I had the same issue yesterday and the jig was the solution.

Try vol down + home + power that should get you in to download mode.

those 4 btns : vol-up, vol-down, power, home.....
i try a lot of multiple sets within these 4 btns.....still the same....
even i did the special steps, eg:
after shut down, press vol-up & vol-down and plug in the usb cabel ;
press vol-up & vol-down & power until the AT&T logo appear, then release the power but keep hold the both vol btns........etc...still the [email protected]@ keep shut down itself.....

Just to clarify, the yellow triangle IS download mode. You need to have that on your screen (which means you're in download mode) in order to use Odin. Simply try again!
read this [GUIDE] Recovery options for "bricked" phone.
I have try you problem.
Turn it off ,dissconnected the usb cable
keep trying down + back + power
I can enter download mode again.
thank you all !
i was making a mistake but now i did it right thanks to u all and i flashed it and it is working just fine .......

Galaxy Ace Hardbricked?

The other day i installed the SGS3 V4 rom on my s5830 (only realised after that it was made for s5830i -.-) and now i just have a permanent black screen, no backlight or anything, nothing appears when i plug the charger in and it wont boot into download or recovery mode the only way i can get some life out of it is if i plug the usb cable in then hold Vol up + Vol down + Home + Power as i put the battery in, then my computer shows that a device has been recognised and a yellow rectangle appears in odin but whenever i try to flash the stock rom it just hangs on '<1> setup connection...'
Ive also tried using a usb jig but it doesnt do anything unless im not using it properly.
anyone found a solution? Im now stuck with my blackberry again and i cant stand it
