[Q] Galaxy S startuplogo sound but black screen - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I am using the XXJM1 Firmware (Flashed via KIES).
I have rooted the SGS with the one click tool.
I installed needed BusyBox Version 1.7x for the lag fix
I have "installed" the one click lag fix v2 (2-3).
- I missed to give root rights -> Script finished without doing anything (just pushed the files).
- I started the uninstall script and didn't miss to give root rights this time.
- Now I started the install script again and everything passed without problems.
I reinstalled my apps and restarted my sgs.
Now I just got the startup sound without a logo. I had a black screen until the PIN-Code Input window.
Q: Is it possible to get the logo back? Is that a problem in the future use? Did anything went wrong?
Regards
PhilAd

you mean the Animated logo boot screen?
you can install any Animated boot up screen
there is an App for that

[Q] Did I brick my N1?

UPDATE: I managed to get past the loop by deleting all apk's(/system/app)
from the google apps zip! (so don't bother reading the rest unless you
find yourself having the same problems I had...
Hi, sorry to bother you all, but I can't seem to find a way out of this.
My N1 has the broken power button, but I'm in Europe, so I thought I would try to live with it by installing the cyanogenmod(with the trackball wake).
I rooted from 2.2.1 by a thread I found here(rageagainstthecage), then installed rom manager, flashed the recovery image, radio, and then the cyanogenmod 6.0. The phone booted fine, but without google apps, so I downloaded that zip and flashed it as well, and then the problems started. Now my phone hangs at the boot animation.
My bootloader is NOT unlocked, so I can't seem to flash using fastboot(get signature verify fail), and I can't unlock it cause my powerbutton does NOT work at all anymore, and I need it to verify "unlock bootloader"...
I still have root and adb shell access while cyanogenmod hangs, so maybe there is a way to copy raw files over?
Hope you have some tips for me!

[Q] Helpwith Clockworkmod recovery

Hello,
I am hoping somebody can give me a little advice on my issue.
I updated to the OTA 2.2 via the full SBF file, i then rooted using the one click root. I then installed the 928 black glass theme that deodex's at the same time.
Everything was running fine. I them wanted to change some of the icons by modifying the framework file. I booted into recovery and created a back up before attempting to change the framework file. I them made the changes to the icons i wanted to in the framework file. a sent it back to the phone via ADB. However the phone was stuck in a boot loop. I then pulled the battery and it rebooted into recovery. I selected my backup and it started to load. The problem is it gets to where it says "Restoring Data" and it just hangs there. I let it sit at that point for over 20 min with no change. I also have tried to go into the advance recovery and just restore the data file on its own, but it also freezes.
Anyone know what might be the issue here?
Thanks

[Q] Security Error on Custom Recovery

SOLVED!!!! Drop a thanks on matshch for bringing me up to speed so late in the game!
Solution is here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2160394
: What this is about to say is that: I can install the custom recovery fine, I can even boot without problems. I get a security error resulting in boot loop when I try to boot into recovery though and I have to use LG support tool to start over.
Using the file converter for .bin and .fls I baked in both CWM touch and non touch, and every time I do it the phone gets the security error at boot when LG comes on the screen. Then I have to go back into LG Mobile Support Tool and click 'Upgrade Recovery' to get the phone to boot again. Getting root is not a problem for me, which was cool and completely unexpected, but still every time I try to boot into recovery either through an app (ROM Manager) OR adb (I dont have a volume down button) it reboots to a little android dude with a blue loading bar beneath it and his stomach is open with gears and ****, and then it reboots and I have to go through the process of registration again (setting up the phone)
Sooooooooooooooooooooo... is the fix known?
p.s. this means I can't flash anything, all I have is superuser on stock 4.04 (which I actually really like, but I want KitKat for the performance)

Click to collapse
Stock ICS has the bootloader locked; the security error means just that.
You have to unlock the bootloader before you can do anything else.

Help ! Phone doesn't boot anymore

Hi. I have note 5 sm-920c with multiBoot,AryaMod ROM installed as primary rom and DrKetan secondary. All well and fine since this morning when I tried an app that changes resolutions (I changed to 1080x1920 and things stared crashing: systemUI, AirView, etc). After rebooting there wasn't anything on the screen but the wallpaper. So I connected the phone to USB and ran a few ADB commands to restore the resolution. After restaring everything was back to normal. Then out of the blue my phone restarted by itself and went into a bootloop: showing the black screen with samsung galaxy note 5 (and the little red text kernel is not seandroid enforcing - because of the multiboot) and immediately restarting. It wouldn't even get to the bootanimation. So I entered recovery and first wiped cache and dalvik - same thing happened. Flashed multiboot cleaner - same thing happened.
So now I'm trying to do a full reset to install a new rom. And the phone restarts DURING the reset while being in recovery. That's what scares me - because I haven't seen anyphone do this (it's not my first flashing exp). It doesn't even go into bootloader, it just keeps restaring. Only thing that works in the custom recovery - CWM.
Do you think it's a hardware fault? Like the sdcard failing? Or just software. Should I keep on trying flashing something from the phone since the files are there and I can still access them? Can I flash anything from Odin without entering the bootloader?
I'm asking now because I think it's serious and I don't want to **** it up anymore than I already did. Warranty is a NOGO right now, I at least have to get it to stock recovery even if the knox bit is tripped.
Any help appreciated.

SM-G800F rooted stuck in bootscreen (got TWRP access)

I wanted to try and hopefully learn little about rooting. Have been reading forumposts and tutorials for hours before I started.
Then I got this problem that I have been trying to solve for hours. But my conclusion is I need help solving it.
Tested on this phone that just were collecting dust.
Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini (SM-G800F) and I think it was running 4.4.2. (this is all I remember off the top of my head)
Problem / What happend (long version):
Rooted phone. Downloaded SuperSU and Flashify and installed TWRP 3.0.0 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5-mini/orig-development/recovery-twrp-3-0-0-t3313775). I had no SD-card so I skipped doing a backup. Everything worked fine (for a normal user). Downladed a Root Uninstaller app also Debloater-setup-v3.90.exe (http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=12623). Did not freeze or uninstall anything before checking in this forum that it was OK. But after a while I could not access my homescreen it just turned up blank but I could still use other functions/apps. Rebooted the phone in order to get it to work but got stuck at the bootscreen. Tried to fix it via TWRP but the program freezes after a while or just reboots the phone back into Samsung bootscreen.
Problem / What happend (short version):
Rooted - got Flashify and SuperSU
TWRP 3.0.0 installed (no backup made)
Debloater-setup-v3.90.exe and some Root Uninstaller app used (searched on this forum before doing any changes)
Homescreen just blank, other functions/apps worked
Rebooted the phone and got stuck at Samsung bootscreen
TWRP access but the program freezes/reboot after short time
I did try "Factory reset". But the screen froze and the phone slowly started to heat up.
Later on I searched about it and it might have something to do with KNOX?
Any solution is fine since I don't have anything thats need to be saved. I can try any working stock/custom ROM (just not sure how to get it into the phone, yet).
Yes I am a novice so the simplest thing might even work.
Have you tried to flash stock ROM for your device using Odin? If it fails you may want to check this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5-mini/help/g800f-failed-odin-firmware-upgrade-fail-t3131782
If it doesn't fix your phone you may have a hardware problem.
