Universal 13mm Wide-Angle/0.67X Macro Lens Attachment - Droid Incredible Accessories

Do yall think this:
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.14953
would fit onto the DINC?
If anyone has used a macro lens with the camera, how good was it?
What macro lens do you use?
etc.

I have this, ive been very impressed for only $11. Shipping took quite some time but I wasn't very concerned. If you keep the wide angle attachment on it's to heavy to stay on. I didn't purchase for this so no worries.

Cool! Does it fit well on the camera and does it get in the way of the flash at all?

Post some pictures in here after you get it!

Please post some pics. I am dying to find out how well it works. I need to replace my camera ring and lens cover and if I plan on getting this I want to do a little mod to my camera ring so that the magnet will stick to the ring without and external mods. Because if I am not mistaken the ring we have now is aluminum and we need to apply a ring around the camera so that the lens stays on with the use of magnets. Then again i might not know what I am talking about! But thats the way I think it work after looking into it a few days ago.

actually i ment to say i got the fisheye version... can't wait to check it out.. btw whats the diameter of the lens ring on our d.inc phones? i got the 15mm, seen a video a guy tested both out. the 13 had blur on the outer edges and the 15 was completly crisp.. and yeah as soon as i get mine i'll send in some pics and a video, i mostly got this lens for video.. http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.39814

I've gotten things relatively fast from DXT, (DSLite case, it's awesome :3) hopefully one of yall can post a few pictures soon.

I really do not see much difference in this and the one I took. I used Camera360 and it was free.

sorry for the mix up.. 15mm version is the one i got.. i forgot to check if the magnet grabs the metal lens on the phone before i attached the metal ring.. wish i checked first.. either way it works good.. i notice no decrease in quality in the shots...

can c360 record video with fisheye?

I made a DIY macro lens using the lens from a disposable camera (and made a taser out of the rest of it - super fun!).
Takes GREAT pictures.

camera timer???

Is there any mod or hack to have a timer on the camera ?
Sent from my HD7 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
Why on Earth would you want a camera timer? It's not like you can put the phone on a tripod or even just stand it on a wall or anything....it would be completely pointless.
I wouldn't mind having this also.

OK name one thing that you are likely to have with you that you can prop the phone up with at the right distance and angle that lets you line up the shot and will hold the phone steady enough.
Because if there is such a thing, I'll add my +1.
Even though I think this is a stoopid suggestion, I have no doubt that once Mango hits and the camera API is opened up, some numpty will create an app to do a timer function. And other numpties will pay for it.
Or it can be added by HTC like it was on thier old devices (Kaiser/Tilt, at least).
Would like this too. Also need a touch shutter button to go along with the HW button!
I can name 1 thing. Tripod.. go to eBay type in hd7 tripod....... Sha-bang........ 6.99 Free shipping from Hong Kong. Now it is only a foot tall but it holds the phone perfect. I use it all the time... Now give me my timer......

Having trouble believing this! LOL Do you keep it in your handbag? I mean, really? a 1 foot tall tripod? Come on! Do you take many pictures of people's ankles?

I would like it because the button is recessed with the case I have and often the extra effort required to press the button causes blurry pictures. Would actually rather touch the screen to snap the pic... Is there an app for that? Lol

agree the recessed button is terrible..it is actually the worst I have ever used on any Phone with a camera..
Along with a shutter timer I hope developers also include on screen shutter "button" like on the HD2 (since there is no way to "fix" the recessed button)
Seriously? Why wouldn't you want a camera timer????????? Who needs a tripod anyway?? Have you no imagination? Just sit the phone up against something hit the timer button and there u go......I do this all the time with my epic and the pictures come out fine. There might be some places you cant do this but for the most part you can. You got to remember though these camera phones arent used for professional quality. Just a in case camera. Just using my brain, sorry

yes, it's good to have it covered for preventing any mechanical damage to the lens but in my case i rarely keep anything else in the phone pocket...
when the phone seats on the table, the lens is still protected from the mechanical damage because it isn't in the same level with the table but slightly inside the back battery cover...
only dust can access it...
however... it was just an idea

[Q] Camera problem? Or factory ?:D

Dear all,
I am a proud owner of this phone for a few days now, but I noticed that the camera stretches the picture on the top. Let me try to explain, so when I take a picture of a person then the forehead is abnormally stretched... of course not only with the head, but everything...
Is it normal? or Faulty camera?
you can see it on the attachments..

It is a tradeoff that happens with the choice to go with a widescreen lense (maybe their is a more accurate way of saying that?). If you compare the One with any other phone (that I know of) you will see that it gets much more into the picture when held horizontally. The tradeoff to this is that pictures look stretched when taken in portrait mode. So what you are seeing is normal.
I agree that I don't like the stretching, but man is it nice being able to get so much I to a picture when you hold the phone horizontally.

Thanks for the help
Check out this picture as an example. I was the only one in the room that was able to get this picture. Maybe if the wall went back a couple feet, someone else could get the same picture without cutting people right next to them out.
So, sucks a bit to stretch pictures out in portrait, but this is pretty damn cool.

I have to say that I checked my camera and I don't see anything like in zimilaci's video. So for me it actually doesn't look normal.
I don't know why my wide angle photos show a fish-eye type distortion where only the part where the photo is focussed is clear and everything else seeps into a slight blur.
Feature not a bug. It *is* a wide angle lens. Wide angle lenses start to exhibit fish eye distortion the wider they go. Anything in the corners of the frame is not going to be orthogonal. End of story.
If you think it's bad on the back camera, try the front facing camera lol http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2260286

If you looked at the film that covered the lense, it didn't actually cover the lense center. There is a hole in it for the shooter even if you don't remove it. That wasn't the cause. The shooter is just wonky on finding good contrast for focus, especially anything less than 6"
I have also the same problem.

It does not effect the camera, it is not in line of sight. My camera works fine(I don't have the film, regardless). The cameras focal distance isn't great if the subject isnt super high contrast if less than 6".

Source, because no. This rear camera is not a wide angle in the strictest sense. By your logic it would take pictures of its own bezel if the small film would be in line of sight. That's not the case, the front camera is an 88 degree wide for close field (selfies and such) the rear is not.

Im sorry but I had the same problem with the s4, s5, and so did a whole bunch of people. If you dont know what your talking about then why are you still arguing. It clearly messes up the focus because A: Dust and hair start to collect over it and B: it keeps trying to focus while its on which causes blurry pics
And if OP could chime in I bet removing this made his camera better
I wasn't arguing, I stated its not a wide angle, it isn't. The front lenses is 88degree for wide. I also still stand(with no sticker) that the rear shooter isn't the greatest at focus. These sensors are still just over hyped webcams. My bias towards specific detail comes from photography experience.
Further, I hope OPs problem is solved too.

Like you, I kept it on my S4 for a long time and it didn't cause any problems either. However, like I mentioned before, not all of these phones are alike. It might not cause a problem for some while it does for others.
To the OP, the best thing to do is remove it and see if the problem persists. If it does, exchange the phone until you get one that works right.
It still effects the focus it happens on the s4 and on the s5 you must have a bad camera
