Just got a TV out cable today and there seems to a bunch of minor annoyances
- The device starts to get a little sluggish when TV out is hooked up
- When i scroll through menu items, its very inconsistent....the touch input seems messed up, the scrolling "jumps" and i cant easily scroll

Ok, so there's a few problems I've had with my phone and ether have gotten recently/haven't bothered to fix.
The first problem is the calibration on the touch screen, normally it's just fine, but if I plug it into the wall charger it gets a bit shaky if I do something like drag my finger and hold it on the screen afterwards without taking my finger off. But as I said before it only happens when I use the AC charger, if I plug it into the USB port of my computer the calibration is just fine.
Another problem that I could live with but would rather fix is the slow startup time of my phone. I run Froyo with a 1.25 GHz overclocked kernal (the one with the wifi fix), and when using this kernal my phone seems to take a very long to boot. The Droid logo will take a long time to appear and transition into the H.A.L. 9000 lookalike eye. After I boot it up and SetCPU starts it's just fine though, is there anyway I can fix this? There is also a question I would like to ask, does anyone know a good program for to-do lists (one with notifications, maybe a widget, etc.), I've looked around on the market and I can't seem to find one that works well enough. Also does anyone know a good program to use the dual camera LED's as a flashlight, I havn't been able to find one that works with Froyo (I used to use Droidlight but because of the fact the camera flash can stay on during videos in Froyo (at least I think that was the problem, I saw it on a forum at one point iirc) it just force closes when I try to open it.
I would appreciate help with these problems if possible, thank you.
Hey guys! This is my first post on XDA, though I've been using it for quite a while.
I'm not exactly looking for answers/solutions, but rather sharing my problem and see if someone else is having them too.
I have a Latin American version of the I91000 (TTT). I recently upgraded to ICS using the official firmware from Samfirmware (UHLPE). At first everything looked great. The performance improvement was noticeable from the first bootup. Not only was it faster, but the intro video was far smoother and looked nicer. The general UI changes are very nice, and I did notice an improvement in battery life.
However, I've been experiencing a couple of glaring issues that really mared the experience enough to make me want to go back to Gingerbread, which I will probably do.
These are the problems:
1. The mobile data connection is very unstable. Sometimes it just doesn't load anything, and sometimes I lose the signal altogether. The 3G/H/H+ icon disappears and all. I never had this problem in GB during the 6 months I've had this phone.
2. The Bluetooth audio connection also has problems. It's now more unstable and susceptible to interference, and the lag is also much more noticeable now. It was about .5 seconds before, but now it's more than a full second.
But that's not the worst issue. The media remote control functions just stopped working altogether, namely, the |<< , >>| , >/|| buttons on my headset. I have a Nokia BH505 Bluetooth headset, and I didn't have any of these problems before either.
So that's it. I would like to know if someone else is experiencing one or both of these issues. I'll also check the Samfirmware forums to look for replies on the matter. Thank you for your feedback.
I have a logitech keyboard for Android 3.0+. I've been having problems with it in that when it connects or disconnects it refreshes the screen or browser. Every once and a while a key will get stuck (not the physical key but on the software side) and repeat itself without me being able to stop it.
Here is a video of the problem: Bluetooth Keyboard Issue
I decided to try it on my phone (also running JellyBean) and it does the same thing. Anyone know if this is a known JellyBean issue or could it possibly be the bluetooth keyboard? Anyone using the logitech bluetooth keyboard for android and not having problems?
I have Logitech blue tooth keyboard(the one with the touch pad) and it does do bad things when it connects to my N7. It knocked me out of a movie that was playing, for example.

I tried my bluetooth headset on both my phone with JB and the N7 and they didn't cause this problem. I'm wondering if it's just a problem with how JB handles bluetooth input devices or if it is a problem with the keyboard. I kind of wish more people had this problem so it'd be easier to figure out

I'd say its pretty much certainly a JB issue.
Don't forget theres only a few JB devices at the moment, when it becomes more mainstream I think issues like this will be sorted.
I can't tell you more though sorry :/

Aside from layout issues, I have found my HP Touchpad keyboard to work flawlessly with my N7. Only bit of strangeness I have found, other than layout weirdness (I have a German QWERTZ model) is if I accidentally lean on the lock key too many times, it causes a reset of the tablet (which is almost expected when you think about the repeat rate of a keyboard vs the click & hold nature of the power button on the tablet).
For the record:
Rooted w/ CWM
Standard kernel
Standard 4.1.1 ROM

Using the same keyboard here. It does refresh once when connected but doesn't appear to refresh when disconnected. When I first got it it would double the first capitalized letter of a sentence but I fixed that by turning off auto capitalization. Other than that I've had no other issue and am actually happy with it. Other than trying a new set of batteries the only thing I can think of in your situation is that you might've have gotten an older firmware or hardware revision. Just for comparison, under the battery cover my P/N is Y-R0021 and Duracell batteries that came with it are dated 2011/11 (use by MAR 2018).
Is the single refresh when connected really that big of an issue? Just trying to understand.

At least for the repeating keys, I'd have to agree that it's a JB issue. I have the same keyboard and I occasionally get the key repeat issue on my phone with CM10. My son has a Microsoft keyboard and gets the key repeat issue much more often, also with CM10 but on a different phone.

4.2 is apparently a whole new can of worms -- Google and Broadcom rewrote the Bluetooth stack from scratch for 4.2, supposedly to improve performance and device support.
Have the same keyboard, to connect make sure the keyboard is off then turn on tablets Bluetooth then the keyboard, sometimes when it disconnects, it crashes the app your in, but many. That's just me

Hey, first I want to let you know the wonderful news that XBMC is available for android (at it is sweet). But I've noticed that when I hook up my USB to HDMI cable to my phone, the display screen gets lag. Plays fine on the phone, but the display on the screen is pretty bad. I'm running the latest holics and tried playing with CPU speeds, still no fix. If anyone knows what to do to get the lag to go away on the big screen, it would be helpful.

This is the first I am hearing of XMBC. Did a few quick Google searches to get some basic info and it sounds awesome, but I'm still left a little confused. If you have the time to walk me through how to set up some of this stuff, I would really appreciate it!

Hi, ever since my droid 4 received the ICS update, ive notciced many bugs which interefere with me using the droid 4, and i was wondering if there were any fixes for them
Could these have been caused because of the way i upgraded the droid 4? I was too impatient to wait for the ICS upgrade to be released in my area when they started to send it out, so i ended up downloading it from here and installing it manually. could that be the cause?
anyways, here is a list of major glitches im experiencing
-touch screen refuses to work for no reason some times at random. it works on the lock screen and on the power off screen, but no where else. only rebooting the phone solves it
-when typing in a field in the browser, when i switch to a different field using the keyboard arrows, it copies everything from the first field to the second one
-browser randomly seems to hang indefinitely when loading a web page. i know its not a web connectivity problem, because when i go force close the browser in the app manager it works fine when i open it again
-sometimes the phone just freezes up entirely for no reason at all, and a hard boot is required. usually happens when using the browser
-sometimes bad lag happens out of nowhere
-the game plants vs zombies sometimes will freeze and reboot the phone by itself

At the risk of sounding like a Verizon CSR, have you tried a factory reset after the install?
I know a lot of people that were having various issues with the ICS update reported performing a factory reset (full wipe) of there phone fixed most of the issues. I've also heard wiping the sd card can sometimes fix issues. I doubt that performing the update manually is the source of your problem (I updated the same way) but you could also try fastbooting ICS to start fresh. Just make sure you back up anything you don't want to lose (pictures, etc.). Good luck!

I doubt your impatience was the cause of the slowness. ICS for the Droid 4 is nice, but is pretty buggy and slow. I've had all of the same issues you've reported including some random reboots. I use my phone a lot, and have a lot of email addresses and a lot of programs in memory constantly doing things, so I'm not surprised that my phone gets bogged down.
I recently loaded up Hashcode's CM10 port onto the phone and I'm telling you it feels like a whole new experience! So far, it's pretty amazing for me, it's been my daily driver for almost a week and I'm just checking for some updates now to fix a minor issue (my Wireless MAC address changes in this ROM). If you're a power user like me, you should really try to load up Safestrap and give AOKP, AOSP or CM10 a whirl!
