Sorry for my english.
My f00kin problem is that I can't recharge my kaiser anymore!!!
I plug the external charger and the orange led is on for a minute or 2, then it turns off.
Attached to the pc, no light
HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP PLZ!!!
ot: I'm using Dutty's7b and, till yesterday, everything was working good. I've also hard resetted the device, but the problem still here...

Can you use someone else's battery to try. Your battery may have just died, some do from time to time.
mmm
I'm not sure, but I don't think it's a battery death problem.
When I turn off it, I CAN CHARGE IT with pc.
I've noticed that if it's turned on, no charge.
If it's turned off, from 15% is now 36% of charge.
WHY???
So if you leave the phone turned off and connected to the PC for a few hours does the battery recharge to 100% and then the orange light change to green? If you then turn the phone on does the light still go out after a couple of minutes? The current draw will be lower when the battery is 100% charged (as it will be when charging while the phone is off). Some PC's can be flakey with high current draw devices on the USB port.
In the situation you described when the light goes off, will the phone still remain connected via Active Sync (or Vista equivalent)? I'm trying to weed out whether the USB connection has anything to do with it. As for those mains chargers, my one (which came with the PPC) worked about 4 times and the first time I had to recharge the PPC from a totally flat battery it died about 3 seconds into the charge. There was a loud click from the charger and it's light extinguished so I dont have much faith in the mark 2 chargers supplied to UK customers. I'm currently waiting on a different warranty replacement - hopefully like the original type with interchangable 'head' to suit different countries.
now it's not fully recharged, but I've just now turned on the phone and the % is growing.
I've always recharged my phone via pc because I left it connected to my pc at work every day during the working day.
only sometime I recharge it via wall plug at home.
dunno why but from yesterday the wall plug works 2 (or less) minutes and the pc is not anymore able to charge the phone.
now, with all the phone switched off (so, also activesync connection closed), the pc can recharge it.
ARGH
I have also the same problem since yesterday

Did you do anything with the PPC before the problem occurred or was it just out of the blue?
I'd also like to know from leopardone how it goes with regards to answering my questions once the battery is fully charged (if it gets that far).

Take batt. 10m out, i had this problem long time ago.
Do you use a other AC loader.... use only the org. AC loader !!!!
Install batt. status and take a look... you must wait a few min. before the batt is charged.

the big problem now is that I also can not make connection with my pc to install an original rom in case it got to be returned for repair.

have you also hard resetted the device?
Hey I have the same problem... I am on the original HTC Rom.
All of a sudden today the batt is not charging on the wall socket or the PC USB cable.
There is no light whatsoever, The active sync is also not connecting.
I have hard resetted even then the same problem, I am guessing it is a hardware & not a software problem coz I didnt install any new prog/app since last time I charged.
Now I have removed the Batt, will reattach and check in about 15 mins lets hope it works...
Shall update soon.

Nope, Removing the battery and waited for 30 mins reconnected the batt still not working.
Nor is my kaiser charging while the phone is switched off.
The problem is notof the USB port coz the USB headphones are working fine..
I got a battery problem as well. Problem started 3 days ago (20/12-07)
My problem is that the battery drains to fast.. disconnected it around 02:00 when I was of to bed, (battery 100%) but when I woke up again around 09:00 the phone was dead. Thats only 7 hours.. and in standby mode!
I'm on the original HTC UK ROM and I have only installd a couple programs like the Kaiser Tweak, Handysafe, Wififofum, Sprite backup, Citrix client, puTTY, PocketRAR, Total Commander, TCPMP, Flash player, PK NewWarningColorBatteryClean3G, HTC GPRSmonitor.
So I'm guessing one of these programs drains the battery even when the phone in on sleep.... the ones I installed since 20/12-07 is PocketRAR, TCPMP, Flash player, PK NewWarningColorBatteryClean3G.
Has anyone had battery problems after installing these..
Any help is appreciated.
it is a hardware problem
when I hold the cable of the charger and push it against the usb port it does charge. when I stop pushing it stops charging.
Hey guys im using the latest nighltie of cm on my p990 and i never had serious problems with it. But tonight i forgot to charge my phone and tried to charge it for 40 minutes in the morning. after 40 minutes it was just at 9 % so i was wondering a little. I went to school and charged it there for 3 hours but still very low. same at home... its working for 5 minutes and shuts off. Now i dont know if i need a new battery or just need to flash to another rom (or go back to stock). But im scared it will shut off while installing a rom so i wanted to ask you what would you do?
Any idea what the issue can be?
Strange indeed. I suggest you go to eBay and buy a battery wall charger, they are $3.50 shipped, this will at least allow you to charge your phone to put another rom on. In the mean time have you tried charging while phone is off? Maybe you have a lot of power drain? Is the phone hot?
Also try another cable and wall charger.

i think your phone is too hot. do you install like battery monitor widget? it can monitor your temp. my battery used to be like yours it didn't want to charge because it's overheating. i pulled out the battery for 5 minutes and placed in and it charge again
i do not really know why but after 2 days, i plugged it to my computer and after 5 minutes it started charging. Very strange, but now everything seems to be ok. Still same ROM. Only thing i did was doing a backup with titanium while plugged in to the charger. I'm just glad i did not need to buy a new battery
thanks for trying to help me!

Hello, I first wish to say that I did a basic search and didnt find any info. maybe I searched wrong since this is first time this has happend to a phone I know of.
second I don't have time to do a full extensive search, sorry if it looks like I didnt search but I did.
Anyways here to the problem:
What happend? Well the Note just died. from simple usage. the screen is all black, won't boot at all, can't even see any lights. (Got Desire HD, Tho I don't remember this phone had a charging/signal light, but I believe it has)
The Note is my mothers so she wanted me to look at it.
There were no problems during flash or, rather it wasnt me who flashed it. but got it pre-flashed of tradera (part of ebay) and nothing was wrong besides old rom, was waiting for full drivers ICS since I havn't seen one for the N7000 so I havn't flashed a ICS rom since my mother needs the most support but anyway
I tried taking the battery of and putting it back again (Fixes 90% of my problems!), I tried fail-safe booting it. I am kinda stumped on what to do, so if know whats the problem and if its a cheap one I will be happy to do it. hopefully its not a motherboard replacement... :-( then I will cry...
Edit:
It turns out it started working with 25% battery after being having battery taken out for 1 hour, and was in the wall socketed charger for 7 hours. YAY!
So it just died in middle of using it normally?
You didn't do any wipes or such in recovery and then it didn't start after that?

I am not sure there is enough detail here to be able to help. But if it does not go to download mode with the usual ways or with a USB jig, then it will need to go to samsung repair centre, or you could try to JTAG first.
But if it is a result of a bad bootloader flash, then JTAG might work. If its due to a bad ICS kernel flash, then motherboard replacement is most likely.
Hope it works out.
First of All, it doesn't have ICS yet. (since i havnt found a good kies ICS yet that everything works on yet, havnt checked the past few weeks)
Second, it died in standby mode, during work when she was gonna take a picture for her work (she has card that allows usage of camera during work place in volvo)
Third, it wasnt during flash or anything. I will have to check the phone with shidapu when he wakes up... ARGH HIM! for not having normal mornings where you wake up around 6 or 7am...
I believe it didn't die during middle of usage but when the phone was in power save or whatever its called when the screen is black and not phone in use but in operations
I guess JTAG is the only option, but how does that work exactly, if possible please do link
because my computer can't even see the note when I am connected to it with USB. can the battery died? since I don't know if the note can be powered up without battery. *tried connecting without battery but no luck :/
Try to remove the battery for a couple of minutes and then insert it again and connect the wall socket charger and wait up to one hour. The Note has a charging animation but if the battery is totally drained i think it won't show directly.
If you having troubles finding another battery to test with you can always come by Astra in Mölndal and try mine as i see that you are living in Gothenburg.
Jtag is a service in that someone solders small cables to the mainboard and reflashes the bootloader on a low level. But this is only if you know that you have failed a flash or such, don't think this is the case here.
I did send a SGS2 to mobiletechvideos in Texas for that service, and i really do recommend them and thier great service.
Good luck.

if shidapu can't fix it that is (irl mate of Shidapu) he know a bit more than me about Droids
sadly don't have have a extra battery I believe, but I do what you said, I will pull the battery off for now, and when I see the phone next time I will put it in and wait a hour. if all above fail, I might P.M. you that i might be visiting you =)
edit, connected to a wall socket, does it make any differs if I use my HTC wall socket charger?
umm..mind if i say something....?
well u can use any charger since u need to give charge to the battery.. but recommended is charger for note.
Next i had a problem with my battery as well. try to put the phone on charging (there ain't any charging light on this phone ) but you'll see an animation of battery. if it shows up don't worry your phones safe but not the battery but if it doesn't then i think there's some problem with the bootloader or the kernal ...
Hiya guys, after having the Note on charger for like who knows 7 hours or so...
I actually could boot it! YAY! got into the droid as usual.
But there is one wrong thing... it says 25% battery left. orange...
now it says 26% =)
Well I guess I have to reset the state of the battery? (battery-memory wipe or whatever its called?) if thats possible, if so is just simple CWM? (does Note even use CWM?, I am a HTC user and it wasnt me who rooted that device as I mentioned earlier so I dunno what recovery software there is for samsung)
Well Anyways, might be just some faulty battery. guess I have to order a new one if it does it again.
maybe u should take the battery off the phone for a while and try to charge it without booting the device . maybe then it will work fine. just do it three or four times whenever you charge your battery. this way the battery will charge efficiently without it's use on the phone... i hope you got it since i am not able to type well today as i am right now a lil bit anxious about my notes problem

I believe i mentioned it started working. Charging it after removed battery for a hour or so fixed it. took a long time tho, 7 hours for 25% full battery. (26% short after, well samsung are known for their extreme long battery load times... galaxy tab 10.1... that was a device that took over 2 hours to charge...)
It might need a new battery.
The same thing happened to my Note yesterday. It was last charged on Saturday and, with light use, after three days it still had around 50% battery charge remaining when I went to bed on Tuesday night. Yesterday (Wednesday) morning I tried to wake the Note and it was completely dead. Of course I did not expect a flat battery, given the usual discharge performance of my Note. I removed and replaced the battery and hit various buttons and absolutely zip. I connected the charger and again no response. Nothing lit, no beep, nothing.
It's probably worth mentioning that I'm on the latest stock Samsung ROM and unrooted. I really thought it was FUBAR and would need to be sent off for repair. Anyway, I do have a jig so I plugged that in and the screen woke up, so I knew there was some sign of life. But still it would not boot.
Anyway, to cut the story short the battery was as dead as a dodo. I don't know why. It should not have been. I left it on charge from the AC charger and after a short while (a minute or two maybe) the charging symbol appeared with a hazard triangle upon it. It took over 4 hours to finally make it to a fully swollen 100%. The phone is almost exactly six months old and this is the first real scare I've had with it.
I only bore you with the tale because it might give hope to people who think their phone is bricked when the fact is that nothing worse has happened than the battery has gone (unexpectedly) very flat. Right now, 27 hours after I finished fully charging it the battery is down to 92%. That's the sort of performance I am used to. I will leave it without further charge for another few days to see if a similar thing happens again. Hopefully not.
yes i know u said that it started working. What i am saying is that whenever u want ur phone to charge switch it off and then charge(this way it will charge efficiently) . just follow it 3-4 time when u charge it and your battery will be on the right track(i hope that works). my note takes upto 1.3 hour (nearly) to charge completely from 10%. and when it's switched off it does the same in 45 minutes... what a difference!!!
try it and if it works for u then this way would be a best alternative to replace battery for charging issue (of course if ur device is still under warranty you should opt for a replacement).
Hey guys I am new to this forum.
My S3 mini been running stock android 4.1.2 for over a year now with no issues. Yesterday the phone just reboots by itself and the battery went from 60% to 14% in a second. Then the phone got stuck in a reboot loop, I had to take out the battery to make it stop rebooting every second. I tried charging the phone all night, for 8 hours, got 10 minutes of usage out of it before it started rebooting again and the battery inexplicably jumped from 90% to 14% ! The phone is only usable when plugged to the AC, basically not a mobile phone anymore.
Did a factory reset, Thought it might help, it didn't. The phone works fine when plugged to the AC, it only starts rebooting a few minutes after I unplug it.
Help please, should I get a new battery?

Update:
After replacing the original battery with a new one the phone went back to normal function. Also , when removing the old battery I noticed it's a little swollen.
Thanks everyone for the help.
Hello, i've been using my HTC One M7 for over 9 months now, and i'm facing some major issue with the battery, it's very awful ! i'll post some screenshots at the end, i've made a lot of researches to try fixing this battery issue:
TUTO 1 : when the phone shuts down, plug it to the original charger and wait for 2 min, then press and hold the power key + vol+ and vol- for 5 minutes and release then when the screen is on [Not Working]
TUTO 2 : download an app from the market for battery calibration [Not Working]
TUTO 3 : for root users, wait until your phone is dead, and plug it into the charger for about 3 hours for full charge without turning it on, then just power it up and let it rest for 30 minutes [Not Working]
TUTO 4 : flash a ROM [Untested]
what happens, is that my phone is draining battery normally but when it reaches 40% (sometimes before) and i'm using any application, it'll shut down and state that the battery is empty, if i waited the 40% to pass and then launch an app the battery will jump from 40% to 28% then to 12% then 1% and shuts down.. some people say it's because of the power saver.. some say it's from a third party app.
before it happens only when my phone reaches 9% then jumps from 9 to 3 then shuts down.. i'm lost, any one ? please
Got also the 9% failure. Tried to calibrate my battery but it didnt work. Since I flashed a new ROM it disappeared.
Calibration of the battery is a myth that was put to rest long ago by many. Even Google's own developers said it was a myth.
this one is after flashing the ViperOne Rom and the ElementalX kernel.. i'm still having this issue :/

I don't remember who posted it but this worked for me.
Charge your phone to full while booted up / unplug phone
then reboot recovery / plug phone in and wait till it says 100% in recovery
power off / unplug phone / plug in the phone and wait till the battery says 100%. It seems the 3 different modes / booted up / recovery / and off all have different ideas of when the battery is actually full. The whole process took about 15 min.

I let mine charge overnight it said full, but in recovery the phone was only at 87%. after about 10/20 min. charging it was full. Then with the phone off it again showed less than full like 93% .. 10/15 more min. and it said full
what recovery do you have ?

sorry to bring this one up again but I am also having this exact problem, also if I turn the phone back on it will load up but as soon as it finishes booting it thinks the battery is at 0% so it turns off, after doing the calibration method once, it finishes booting up and shows how much battery there really is which was around 12% when this last happened last night.
I am actually running completely stock Android 4.4 not rooted or any mods.

My Battery lasted 7H 19M today, phone showed it was 55% remaining and turned off.. as you can see in the attachment of the battery history
Had a similar bug long ago. Factory reset fixed it (I think). I deleted everything on the phone so that I HAD to RUU a ROM on the phone. After that my battery worked normally. Maybe a bug, a virus, anything but I formatted it and now it works like a charm.

Have you tried a hardware battery recalibration?
The battery calibration starts with the phone completely off. The steps are as follows: Charge the device for at least 10 minutes using the original charging cable in a wall outlet. With the device powered off while still plugged into the wall outlet, press and hold the volume up, volume down and power button for two full minutes. Use three fingers to hold these buttons and do not let go at any time. They will be held in at the same time for this to work. After two minutes, you can let go. At this point, the device should boot up and battery/charging logic will be re-calibrated.

I also charge the phone to 100% then boot to recovery and let it go to 100%
then shut down the phone and charge it to 100% ...all three areas show different battery levels. when all 3 are full your good to go
