[Q] After Firmware update, Volume is low on calls - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I recently updated my phone through Kies to Firmware 2.1 update 1 after which whenever i have an incoming or outgoing calls, the volume is auto set to half the bar and is low however i can increase and it comes back to normal...this happens every single time a call comes in or when an out call is made...
There is no problem with the audio. Its just that every call i take or make, i have to increase to volume to full or how much ever i want - this was not the case before the update...
Any help would be super

[Q] Anyone able to transfer calls with Froyo?

With Eclair, transferring calls was super easy, just parked the first conversation, called the other one up, and pushed "Transfer" (or something similar).
It seems like this option is gone in Froyo, I can set up a conference call, but as soon as i hang up, it hangs up for everyone.
+1
Been wondering how to do this too, and so far no solution..
Anyone?

Call transfer seems to be only half-functional.
Here is how far I came:
1) call someone
2) add a call, dial the number
3) while still ringing select keys ("tastenfeld")
4) you will see that the green button in the lower left part of the screen reads "Send" now
5) push the "4" and "Send"
6) the call is beeing transferred
If the number you want to transfer to picks up before you can push the "4"+"Send" combination a conference call is established and I found no way to transfer the call from there.
I would be very grateful for s solution on how to perform a call transfer from within a conference call.
rgds,

Testet out another dialer today at work, managed to transfer a call by:
1. calling person #1.
2. switching to "dialer one"
3. calling person #2.
4. switching dialer
5. pressing "4", call button.
I'm guessing you can use "Dialer one" as default, but didn't really like it that much, so I'll just keep switching if I need to transfer anyone.
Still better than giving the incalling person the number, and asking them to call themself.
Edit: Didn't see previous post, basically the same method, but dialer one let you transfer calls after the 2nd person answers.
Any better solution when the second call is picked up?
Thanks
i am also looking for the solution to this problem

[Q] Incoming call doesn't ringing sometimes

Hi,
I encounter sometimes this issue with my S3 4G/LTE i9305: Sometimes, when I receive an incoming call, the S3 vibes but not rings.
All others ringing notifications are played, the issue is just with the incoming call. No incoming calls are mist except if I don't have signal.
My configuration:
Phone
Model: GT-I9305
Android: 4.2.2
CM: 10.1-20130522-NIGTHLY-i9305
Baseband: I9305XXBLL5
Kernel: 3.0.64-CM-gba39955
Ringtone
I do some test using a default ringtone provided by CM to compare with my favorite ringtone (MP3).
I've encountered sometimes this issue with the default firmware provided by Samsung. This is one of the reasons why I flashed my S3 with CM 10.1.
Any idea(s) or way(s) to solved this annoying issue?
Is related with the baseband version?
PS: I've do a "trip" with the 48 pages speaking of Galaxy S III I9305 (4G LTE + 2GB RAM) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting (http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1961).
Is related with the baseband version?
No unless the call itself is the problem .

[Q] i cannot hear the dial tone

dear all..
i have an issue for more than 2 month until now and i hope it just fixed.
my smartphone is galaxy s4 active, that i updated before a week to android L. - the problem date before this update and before kitkat update"
the issue that i cannot hear the dial tone, cannot hear the caller and the caller cannot hear me, that's if i make a call or receive it,
i try to
--reboot device.
--remove battery.
--change the sim card.
--removed SD card and that make my mobile hanging somehow!!
--disable google search, disable voice to text << these stuff i found from googling.
--wipe factory reset, wipe clear cash.
i try everything, so sometimes call fixed for just a one single call the re-come back again the issue until i found something, i did not enabled the mobile data for 3 days, and from that date until now i can call anyone and everybody can hear me well without any problem.
so the problem was from mobile data ! there's a conflict or i don't know??!!! .. so what's going with me, i cannot use my mobile data or the issue will come back again.
the calls from app like viber skype tango etc work well
any suggestions ??
btw, samsung support center in my country did not support my s4 active !! :'(
